The brain icon only shows up once addiction starts to affect battle stats.. addiction begins to affect employee effectiveness long before that point, and only just recently did those values become viewable..
By the time you hit -1% battlestat reduction, you’ve already reached about 155 addiction points and that translates to roughly -20 employee effectiveness.. one Xanax at max toleration is already a -2 hit on effectiveness.. we’re just now able to see how soon addiction affects employee effectiveness..
The past 2 nights, I don’t believe natural decay has been occurring as I’ve noticed that my drug addiction hasn’t lowered any overnight.
I’ve been tracking my addiction points and yesterday my numbers weren’t adding up. I used herbal cleansing to clear my addiction levels to zero and found that I actually had an additional 21 addiction points, more than what I had calculated.
In case I made an error in my calculations, I tested it again today and I was able to remove 54 addiction points to clear my addiction to zero.
Having taken 3 Xanax at max toleration (2 yesterday and 1 this morning) I should have only been able to remove 33 addiction points (18 per Xanax, less 21 for decay)
You need 5 instances where these numbers occur. Unfortunately, your stats will need to be a bit higher, as you currently don't have enough number placements to work with.
Not speaking dollars.. but in terms of delaying the need to fly to rehab..
At max toleration, you would gain 33 addiction points per day.. This is at 3 Xanax per day (18AP each), and factoring in decay every night (-21AP)
The -1% brain icon first appears once you reach about 155 addiction points.. so to begin at zero, it would take 4.7 days to first reach that threshold..
Now to use 10 job points per day as well, thus increasing your addiction points by only 23 per day as opposed to 33.. you would reach 155 addiction points after 6.7 days..
This’ll differ a bit in practice though, because this mathematical approach factors in decay at the end of a day as well..
So to look at it in this manner instead..
If you were to have zero addiction at the beginning of day 1.. and taking 3 Xanax per day.. you would reach 168 addiction points after the 2nd Xanax on day 5.. this would be when the brain icon would first appear.. (after the prior Xanax, you’d only be at 150.. not quite enough to cross that threshold)
Same scenario, but using job points as well.. and you would reach 156 addiction points after the 1st Xanax on day 6..
Compared to the calculations above, this is more than a day less, but.. to continue through the day with the 2nd and 3rd Xanax.. and using job points and factoring decay.. you’d be at 161 addiction points the following morning, day 7, and still have a -1% brain icon..
So, depending on when during the day you’re taking Xanax.. how many addiction points you currently have.. if decay has occurred yet or not.. and also considering the -1% brain icon has a range, so whether you’re hitting the lower or higher end when it first appears.. this will all skew the results some.. but it gives an idea anyways..
TL;DR If you rehab when the -1% brain icon appears, using job points will delay that need by nearly 2 days
