I've been reading on here how to get the loan shark merit, and they all talk about taking out the max loan for an extended period. But my I've found that if I do that, when I go back the max loan has gone up. (Not Duke saying he's increased my credit limit, which it says is supposed to happen if it's working - just the amount I've taken out is no longer quite the max.)
I understand the max loan is based on money earned from crimes, but it seems to count crimes that only give you items as well.
Do I need to not do crimes when I'm trying to achieve this, so I don't end up no longer at the max amount? Or do I need to keep adding to the loan so I stay at max? Or does this reset the waiting period? Or does it not matter if I'm not quite at max?
Is there a way to quickly clear your event log, or to only view specific kinds of post? Cause I can never really see anything there, it's all taken up with like 100 worth of 'somebody bought your thing'.
It says on the wiki that cashier's checks from things like selling stocks sit at the bank for you to collect them for 24 hours then automatically go to your account. Does a bank investment that's finished do the same thing or does it sit there until collected?
How do you upgrade a property? I just won a villa from the wheel but I can't see where I can see what modifications are available and costs - do you have to be living in the property to do that? And if I do move into it, given that my happiness is higher than its cap, will it tank my happiness?

It's so weird how little info there is about this! Like when I started using my piggy bank (which I got the same way as OP, very early on, during the newbie missions, cost about 5 credits) I was assuming that, y'know, if I smashed it, I would be able to get another one? Apparently not?
In terms of if there's a limit on how much it stores, I think it goes over a million. You can't actually look directly to see how much is in it but by checking net worth and doing the maths I think it does.
