What Is a Lateral Thinking Puzzle?
A lateral thinking puzzle starts with strange scenario and a question. Something about it doesn't add up. Your job is to figure out the full story behind it!

How to Play
You guys try to find the answer asking yes-or-no questions. I will answer with yes, no, or irrelevant (when a question won't affect the outcome either way.)

When you feel that you have the answer, you answer with the full picture.

Aquagloop/Kingfisher sold an illegal mugbot to TNL. Mr. Disaster, who was using said mugbot, got fedded. This proves that staff believe TNL’s mugbot, which Mr. Disaster was using, is illegal, leading to fact 1:
Fact 1: Aquagloop created the websocket mugbot for TNL, which staff deems illegal.

On December 30, 2025, staff member IceBlueFire warned Aquagloop that his mugbot is illegal. After this conversation, Aquagloop continues to abuse his mugbot, even after staff specifically warns him that the mugbot is illegal. This leads to fact 2:

Fact 2: At some point, Aquagloop had full knowledge that his mugbot was illegal, and with malicious intent, kept on using it.

We do not know if Mr. Disaster used the mugbot, knowing that it was illegal to do so. Whether we know it or not, he was fedded. This was a direct result of Aquagloop distributing his illegal mugbot to TNL, for $10b compensation + maintenance fees). 

Fact 3: Aquagloop is responsible for creating and distributing an illegal script (for profit), resulting in one or more feds from people who used his services.

Fact 4: Aquagloop got a 30-day fed for this, which is unacceptable as Mr. Disaster got a perma-fed just for the use of the bot. We just want consistent punishment.

Now for the snitching part..

Aquagloop/KingFisher is now rumored to be working with staff to avoid punishment by ratting out everyone in TNL who used the service he provided. Staff even trying to entertain this would be ridiculous, as what he's done (used, distributed, profited, gets a direct and private warning from staff, which is a privilege in itself.. proceeds to ignore that warning, and continues to use) deserves nothing less than a triple fed.

It is standard in many systems of justice that those who manufacture and distribute illegal tools bear a heavier burden of responsibility than the end-users. While cooperation with staff can be a reasonable way for players to reduce their sentences or aid in removing widespread exploits, it crosses a line when it allows the mastermind of the whole operation walk away scot-free.

The argument for leniency usually relies on ignorance or immediate compliance once warned…Aquagloop displayed neither.

• Aquagloop creates an illegal mugbot and distributes it to TNL for a $10 billion compensation plus ongoing maintenance fees.

• IceBlueFire (staff) warns Aquagloop privately that the mugbot is illegal and that abusing it would lead to trouble.

• Despite this direct warning, Aquagloop continues using his mugbot.

• A day before the feds hit, Velthir (staff) privately tips off Aquagloop and warns him of this fact. The same day, the “aquagloop mug bot” is kicked from the Discord server.

   

   

• The feds hit, and Mr. Disaster, who was using Aquagloop's mug bot, gets perma fedded. Aquagloop receives no punishment.

   

• Aquagloop is now rumored to be working with staff to avoid punishment by exposing everyone in TNL who used the service he provided.

If staff allows the creator of an illegal $10 billion script to trade his client list for immunity, it sends a message that you can break the rules for profit, ignore warnings, and still survive if you betray enough people.

Aquagloop/Kingfisher was the bot developer who created the custom illegal script that was being used by the TNL team members who were jailed. Also, I am pointing out the double standards applied to Aquagloop and Mr. Disaster in this thread.

There seems to be some confusion in the replies. Brizo made the script that SHAT used. He got perma-fed. Aquagloop made the script that TNL used. He wasn't perma-fed.

I am not saying to not investigate anyone else. What I am saying in this thread is that Aquagloop also knew of the illegal possibilities of his own script, and despite that, continued to use it despite staff stating to him that it was a violation (He ignored the warnings and continued to use it himself)

Are you actually trying to defend him? HE USED HIS OWN PROGRAM IN AN ILLEGAL MANNER, AFTER BEING TOLD BY STAFF THAT IT WAS ILLEGAL.

To be absolutely clear, Aquagloop used his own program in an illegal matter, while having full knowledge that it was illegal. (How many times do I have to say this?) AQUAGLOOP IS THE DEVELOPER, DISTRIBUTOR, AND USER OF THE SCRIPT.

RESPONSE TO bogie'S PINNED POST #2 (bogie unpinned this post LOL)

Following the review I feel it is appropriate, due to cooperation and limited gains via direct illegal activity, to penalize them for the very limited scripting activity with a temporary time in jail rather than outright deletion.

As I said before, he did not have "limited gains", he made $10+ billion from illegally selling the bot, and also used the bot himself to mug other players, AFTER staff told him that the bot was illegal. His "limited scripting activity" (dozens of mugs within the short period in which his bot was active), was only because Aquagloop has 3M total battle stats, even considering that, his total money mugged went up by 2000% after he started utilizing the bot.

Most of the time, he just showed up as an assist, being beaten by stronger players with his own scripts.

Possessing low battle stats does not justify exemption from punishment. The intent to break the rules warrants the same consequences faced by high-stat players. (Like Skjold here, who was perma-fedded)

Factors being considered are A. Were they knowingly aware it was something illegal B. Extent to which they benefited C. Attempt to continue illegal activity after being informed. 

A. Aquagloop was knowingly aware that his script was illegal, and continued to use his own script.

B. He was the biggest benefittor of this entire situation. He was given 10b by TNL, maintaince fees, and also used his own bot himself to make mugs all on his own.

C. He continued his illegal activity (mugging with his own script) after he was clearly informed by IBF that the script was illegal.

Then what was the figure amount? Since you clearly know better than me.. as you are "working" with Aquagloop. I was going off of Omanpx's words, who was there to see the entire exchange between Aquagloop and TNL, and appropriate screenshots are there to support that. Your comment just seems like an attempt to discredit me and my argument, without actually trying to prove what I said wrong.

^But at the end of the day, the figure amount received by Aquagloop doesn't matter. For the last time, Aquagloop used his illegal mug script HIMSELF, to mug illegally, AFTER staff let him know that his script was illegal. I do not understand why this is so hard to comprehend.

That being said, we have completed the review of skjold and determined the extent they were abusing this, plus the fact that their behaviour  abruptly changed within the last 24 hours, was on a level comparable with the existing deletions and been updated to that accordingly.

Aquagloop remains in jail for 30 days under abetting. The script they were providing could be operated entirely legally, however Mr_Disaster was using it in completely illegal means to provide mug data for TNL. After AQ was aware of this he still, admittedly under duress, kept it active.

"Admittedly under duress"? LOL. Every word of your choosing is so carefully engineered to make Aquagloop seem like an innocent victim.

This guy literally sold an illegal bot to TNL, KNOWING THAT IT WAS ILLEGAL. And when TNL eventually found out of course they asked for a refund. I still haven't seen ANY screenshots proving he was actually "threatened", despite everything Monarch and bogie claims. (nothing new.. I back my claims up with screenshots, bogie backs up his with his big red name.

If Aquagloop was truly being forced to keep this active against his will, he would have NOT USED THE BOT HIMSELF ALONGSIDE TNL

He was the worst of them all, a willing participant who knew what he was doing was 100% illegal.

bogie states Aquagloop is jailed for "abetting." This implies he just stood by and let it happen. This is straight up just a lie.
Aquagloop didn't just maintain the bot, but he used the illegal data stream to snipe mugs for his own personal gain while having full knowledge that what he was doing was illegal. (The illegal data stream that he banned Mr. Disaster for).

This is irrelevant. It wasn't operated legally. Aquagloop sold it to a faction and told them it was okay to run it with websockets. He then personally used that illegal data to execute mugs.

Not really sure what more Mr. D could have done here to check the legality of his script. He literally asked two more times if it was fine, where Aqua confirmed both times that it was safe.

I think AI gets a bad name from all the people who don’t know how to use it well. People couldn’t even tell some of the stuff I generated was AI when I was selling graphics for fun a few months ago.
