A friend of mine has racked up hundreds of hours of this "Rimworld" game. Claiming it to be the most addictive game of all time. Ofcourse I didn't believe him for months. As looking at the top down, pixilated game, I couldn't imagine it being that great.

But as some of you may know, at the minute, there's a summer sale on steam. Rimworld has a nice discount on it. So I decided to see what thr heck he was on about, after all these months.

Had the game for 1-2 weeks and totalled almost 60hrs on the damn thing. The game took me by surprise, anyone else got suckered into the world of the rim?

Love this game, think I have like 400-500hrs on it. Maybe even more.

Gathering storm seems to have a crash issue still thou, annoys me as best dlc.

What's everyone's go to strategy?

This game is littered with money, drugs & violence. Which made me wonder... why isn't there steroids in this game?

A drug we can spend our hard earned monies on that may help boost our gym gains? Or was there in the past?

Or would it hurt the game as the rich become more powerful quicker than the poor..... hmmm.

There's no rewards without any risk ?.

I don't trade forex, I do trade crypto. Which is considered ever riskier. In general, the markets are most risky when people jump in without learning about it first.

But once one is quite clued up, the feeling of multiplying money will make you question the 9-5 life for sure.

Anno 1800 and also been playing Victoria 3. Love economy/building strategy types.

Safe bet with dx11, a lot of gpu's don't like 12. Although I don't think this is a gpu issue with crashing. Deffo a game issue.

That game will never die, quality game from my childhood.

Haven't played in months but I do hope on periodically to kill cows

Hey all, yeah gathering storm is a nightmare. Apparently devs have no intention on fixing it. Usually only happens on the larger maps when a global weather event happens. Sometimes get away with large for about 200 turns a time before crashing after maybe 400 turns.

I found it crashes less on direct11 vs 12 on my pc, running with an i9 rtx 3070ti.

Rise and fall doesn't seem too bad for me. But not a fan of it, the aging events are just too drastic and harsh.

Anyone still playing this?

Zomboid has great game mechanics and quite a deep complex game. I like trying to survive the waves on 7 days thou.

Think I made it too like day 50 something before the new updates and gave up, only because of poor game performance. I did enjoy it, could get back into it

Played them all. The new batman is OK. A bit of a money grab by the developers. But like someone said above, free on pc game pass.
