This is technically gamebreaking in an incredibly specific, niche situation.
If you acquire negative stats, you can no longer train said stat in the gym! I found this out while testing the gym just to see what would happen.
Just to clarify, I don't actually want to gain stats, I was just curious about what would happen if I used the gym on a negative stat.
I hope you can let me keep these negative stats despite this gym bug. If that's not possible, I hope you will at least let me keep my speed below 10, as I reduced it fair and square through normal game mechanics.
You see, when you click the button to train, it simply does nothing. No energy loss. No stat gain/loss. Like you didn't click anything at all. As far as I can figure, there's no way to actually bring a negative stat back up to positives. I was going to test the army special on strength/defense after overdosing on Speed, but apparently that overdose has been nerfed quite hard compared to what is on the wiki (hospital time nerfed by 4 hours and no more permanent stat loss).
Considering PCP is -10 speed per level, it would not be hard for a new player to get their hands on a PCP from some shady drug dealer, accidentally overdose, and then no longer be able to train their account properly.
Edit5: WOOOOOOO I'M FINALLY THROUGH THE MISSIONS! (DUE TO CRIMES 2.0 STILL NOT LETTING ME IN AFTER IT WAS MADE AVAILABLE TO ALL NEW ACCOUNTS) LET'S GO! THANK YOU CHED! I still think this idea would be nice for the few players who would make use of it but I am no longer personally gated by them.
This is supposed to be a game where we can play the way WE want to, so why is George able to dictate how we have to play? Not to mention dirty hobos should absolutely be the easiest targets of bribery, and bribery is thematically 100% compatible with Torn.
I understand that you don't want noobs to accidentally skip the tutorial missions, but as long as you put a reasonable 1m-10m cost of bribery on each section, there's pretty much no chance of them accidentally skipping something important. If they're willing to pay that much, they either know exactly what they're doing, or have enough money to make any mistakes not matter.
This would be incredibly helpful to those who are gated by George's missions such as myself or Honor_Scholar or... err... well, let's not worry about listing names. Thematically, this update would make a lot of sense and I would be greatly, GREATLY, GREATLY appreciative if you would consider it.
Edit: I have recently become aware of the fact that there is a tutorial mission that requires you to start an education course. A tutorial mission which I have not reached. As I am currently 274 days away from finishing all of my educations, this means that if my idea is not implemented, I will have completely borked my tutorial missions within the year! This is not a threat ched! It's a promise! (Edit 3: about 1 month to go until all educations are finished!) Edit4: I think I was wrong here, it looks like the education mission is actually going on simultaneously with the training mission so its current grey state means it's completed, I think
Edit2: People have brought up possibly doing the same for duke missions but I can't personally comment on that as I have no experience with them
With that much damage I could kill myself 3 times over. The amount of power I wield is so great that sometimes I even scare myself.
Of course, with great power, comes great responsibility and great disappointment. My greatest disappointment being that I didn't get the awards I rightfully deserved for having such great power and the responsibility to not bitch about it in the forums.A responsibility I promptly shirked, but let's ignore that for now and get back to celebrating this momentous occasion!
The only way this non-achievement could be any more of an achievement would be if it actually gave me the awards I thought it would give me. But hey! We can't win everything so I will settle with winning in my own mind, even if ched's awards say I didn't.
First I would like to thank myself for making this all possible. And then my mom, my dad, and my internet provider for... -insert long heartfelt speech here-
And finally, thank you to each and every one of you dark mode users out there who will bump this thread to curse my bloodline for the next 10 generations, for burning out your eyes with those last two pictures. You da real mvp. [image: i.imgur.com]
I don't know why anyone would overpay for ads for the full 30 days. You only need to overpay 2 weeks max to keep 10* through halloween, and just make sure you keep 9 stars in the leadup week.
Idk why I clicked this thread but im glad I did it made me laugh. I liked the part where op justified losing his money going all in on a bad hand because he's bored. I did that a lot too when I was grinding for the poker merit but I knew exactly why I was losing money,, because I suck at poker lol.
Hacking or stealing cossy's + PA money is still probably more cash than new OCs + new crimes but if your faction is on OCs 2.0 you're probably better off switching right away.
You still have to spend the same amount on rehabbing overall, but if you wait until say -20 to rehab every time then you would have to fly to Switzerland very slightly less often with the addiction mitigation.
Every time I throw my weekly edvds from PRN into my bazaar, I wonder why newbies are still paying so much for them. There's no point in HJing if you're not a whale.
