I don't often post in the forums, partly because English isn't my native language, but I really need to go on a rant here about these Covid-19 vaccination campaigns.
Offcourse I don't really know how the exact situation is in other countries, but in my home country Belgium things are getting pretty crazy.
About 9 months ago our government told us we'd have the choice on whether or not we'd take the vaccine and it is completely voluntary. And we still do, except we don't. The thing is we are getting manipulated from all directions and forced into submission. Let me clarify with a few examples:
- This summer me and a few friends had planned to go on a multi-dayhiking trip in the Alpes in France. The only problem is I'm not vaccinated. Every hotel, restaurant or pub you enter in France requires you to have a valid covid safe certificate. You get one of these certificates by either proving your vaccinated, have healed from Covid 19, or have been tested negative in the past 24 hours. Since there is no way I can get tested every 24hr in the middle of the Alpes, I had no choice to stay at home and have my friends go without me.
- I went to a few festivals this summer, but in order to be allowed to these festivals I had to drive to a covid 19 testing center two days before, get these swab sticks shoved up my nose, and pay 55€ per test (150€ if I wanted fast results). So i basically paid over double the price for each festival.
- There was some kind of fair here in my town past weekend, it was very crowded, and people bumping into each other all the time; face masks were no longer necessary so I went out and grabbed a few drinks there. I came up to this little stage where a few artists would sing and perform. But even tough that was way less dense packed then every other part of the fair I had just been too, I was denied entry because I didnt have a valid covid certifcate. If I wanted to grab a few drinks there, I'd have to go get tested yet again, drive to a testing location, pay 55€, wait for the results, return a few hours later, only to drink a few 2$ beers.
- A new law is beeing passed that will prevent anyone who isn't vaccinated from entering a hospital. In other words, because I don't want to take risks with my body, my family and friends will no longer be able to receive any supporting hospital visits from me.
- Every day we are beeing bombarded with television broadcasts, commercials, online news articles, etc... that keep telling us how safe the vaccine is, that we should get it asap, and that those who don't are selfish who don't care about other people or ending this pandemic. And what's worse because it's getting repeated so often, people have started to believe it, and every vaccinated person now frowns upon those that aren't. Apparantly everything is their fault.
I am not selfish and I want the world go back to normal and out of this draconian/dystopian world we live in more then anyone else. But I refuse to take a vaccine that has been developed in under a year by major companies racing to the finish line trying to make a profit from which the long term consequenes are still unknown. To me that is a significant risk, and a potentially bigger one then dealing with the effects or covid-19.
Every week that passes, the (social) pressure increases on the non-vaccinated. And I feel it won't be very long before we'll have to choose between our job and our principles. In fact, those who work in the health care sector have already had to made that choice. So if i lose my job and all of my freedom, or get arrested for going outside somewhere in the near future, so be it!
But I will continue to stand for my principles and what I believe in! And please.... STOP THIS MADNESS!!!

What do you guys think? Is it even worth to fight during a ranked war? Should you make a deal with the opposing faction and agree to just make one or two hits both? So both factions can continue to train, chain, etc.. Is the ranked war system flawed?

I'm very willing to believe you experience seizures frequently, and that that might have ended up in you biting your ex. What i'm struggling with is how could you possibly to go jail for that if this is fact that has been proven and you were clearly doing things out of your own self-control? As far as I know you're innocent untill proven guilty and there needs to be some sort of intent before you could get locked up.
Yeah those challenges were superfun to make for me as well! My favorite was the geolocation challenge where you all had to track down where I lived! :)

I'm selling my 9 Star Amusement Park because I want to start running a Logistics Company soon. I expect us to reach 10 stars in one or 2 weeks. You can buy it for 1B as long as we remain at 9 stars.
In a fair game, a player does not need to only beat two colluder's hands, but all of those who are at the table. And at a full table, things can get complex fast if you're trying to cheat like that.
To give some example: If the non colluding player raises big preflop, should the colluders call with weak hands because they have more info? That in itself wouldnt be a very profitable play and already favor the honest player.
And let's say all three of them make it to the flop.The honest player flops trips, the coludding players are both on a draw, maybe one on a flush draw, and the other on a straight draw. Do they both continue? Keep the pot small? Make it big? Or just let whoever is favorite to win continue?
What if both the colluding players are all in when the river comes? One loses 10M in the end, while the other loses 100M
And then there's the issue of keeping track of who made which profits, how they're gonna be distributed, and not getting scammed here.
It seems too much effort for me and you will probably end up paying more attention on your friends hand and calculating on how to proceed, instead of focusing on the game itself. For what is perhaps only a marginal profit.
I play real life tournaments every week. And while Torn poker is completely different then those, I do apply some of the things I've learned over the course of years on this site. Taking into account bet sizes, stack sizes and your position at the table just to name a few.
I do not have a WSOP bracelet, but I did play some WSOP and EPT side events before. And one high roller which I managed to sattelite into. i've been playing poker for over 25 years, I play on average one 100$ tournament a week, and about three 1.000$ tournaments a year. And i've managed to cash in a significant portion of them.
I'm just wondering if there are things in place to detect this or prevent this. Of if there are any rules about this? Because if there are not, I'm sure this will have been at least attempted before. Espcially at the higher stakes tables.
I'm not sure if it is breaking any rules, but it would definitely be frowned upon and I wonder if some things are in place to actually prevent this. Imagine sitting down at a poker table with billions at stake, where it's just you and 2 other players who are sharing their cards with each other. However, colluding together with a friend might not be as effective as you think. While they may be able to push certain players out of a hand, if they manage to do so, they will still be facing each other, where only one of them will take the win, and with so many variables at play, like what the flop, turn, and river would bring and what is actually in the non-colluding player's hands this form of cheating would probably only give you a very slight advantage.
I'm planning on moving on to running a Logistics company, which is why I'm selling my current 10* Amusement Park. It's currently the 3rd best Amusement Park in Torn City and makes over 12M daily.
My Amusement Park is curently fully staffed with 20 employees, but a Logistics company can only hold 15.
I'm guessing most of these employees will follow me to the Logistics company, but at least5 overqualified staff members will remain to keep things running smoothly.

If you're able to find anyone who wasn't you're welcome to share who they are - That's not a really question, but I can tell you that is a false statement. If i was I wouldnt have took the risk to make this thread.

A few weeks ago shit suddenly hit the fan as I was just minding my own business making friends, running my company, and participating in wars and chains. It's all I do here and I consider myself quite qualified at all those things.
Me and my employees were suddenly bombarded with hundreds, perhaps thousands of bounties, downvotes, flight delays, embargo's, horse heads, stink bombs, anonymous threats and messages, the whole lot you name it.
Turns out some mysterious person had spent nearly 20.000.000.000$ in an effort to get me kicked out of my faction and to destroy both me and my company through mercenaries and stuff. Accordfing to one of her profile picture she recently had uploaded (her way of communicating with me since I have her blocked) I would have to remain in hospital for 4.38 years. Even if that was true, it's nothing I wouldnt be able to handle. These are just the kind of things that happen when you allow 13 year olds onto the site.
Apparantlythe only reason she did this was because she was affraid I might bounty her again because I had bountied her several months earlier (allltough she's in a company with bounty protection). I can only guess and assume it took months for her to respond because she has finally caught up in battle stats with me now.
As I always do when some drama tends to flare up, I ignore it, and wait it out, and this time was/will be no different.
In the end, i'm down 0$ and 0 energy, because i never retaliated in any way, my company chat has never been this active, I ended up upgrading from a 1M respect faction to an 8m+ respect faction , made a ton of new friends, and my Torn bully went bankrupt.
