Christmas Town Snowglobes Walkthrough! (10 Globes) · · 2,545 likes

****Unfortunately, I am no longer maintaining these guides and they may be incorrect. Please don't harass the mapmakers if you are having trouble finding the globe. Chances are that it has been moved and the guides are out-of-date.****

Christmas Town offers Snowglobe Ornaments as prizes for completing certain puzzles. Each Snowglobe increases your item spawn rate by 1%. I have provided below an easy-to-follow walkthrough guide for all maps that currently provide snowglobes. I will keep this guide updated as changes are made and new snowglobes are awarded.

These are all incredible maps and an enormous amount of work and man hours went into putting them together, I highly encourage everybody to explore these maps themselves and fully appreciate all of the detail that has been put in them. Huge thank you to all of the creators.

If any of you have walked through these maps last year or in the past at all, I highly recommend that you reset your position by clicking the two arrows next to the coordinates and beginning the guide from the spawn points of each map.

I will be using coordinates [x,y] throughout this guide as a reference. If you're unsure how to tell check the screenshot below to find your position on the map (in Red). I have also indicated how to reset your position and return to the spawn point of a map (in Blue):

Holiday Terror
(https://www.torn.com/christmas_town.php?q=joinToMapHUD&mapID=5db1c849a86d0d10433ff89d):

This map is created by Alexiush [2363652] and it combines Halloween and Christmas. It's a bit of a labyrinth and clue finder type of map. Hunting around is fun and getting to the globe is a real prize!

Follow the path east, then north. Cross the bridge and continue along the path through the town avoiding any obvious traps (holes in the road, open manhole covers, etc.). Keep going east and north until you reach the Mansion's Labyrinth [coordinates are 121,29]

The mansion entrance is at 131,41.

Once inside go north and and you will see a path guarded by skeletons.
Follow the brown path until you reach the black squares then follow this:
3 up, 2 left, 2 up, 4 right, 1 down, 3 right, 6 up, 2 left, 1 down, 6 left, 2 down, 2 left, 4 up. 5 right, 4 up.
The second path is a replica of the first path you walked on.

You will come to an area where you have to choose between two caves. (You will need to repeat this FOUR times and it will seem like you are spawning in the same spot, this is normal, don't worry. After the fourth time you will get to the Christmas room).

For the First Question, the answer is: Christmas Miracle go to the Left Cave
For the Second Question, the answer is: 24/12/2019 go to the Left Cave
For the Third Question, the answer is: Hohoho Coldington go to the Right Cave

Now take the Left Cave (Christmas Miracle Cave) and you will end up in a room with red floors and candy canes around. Go to the top right of the map and you will see an icy cave entrance (coordinates are 101, -74).

Go westward and look for a little yellow NPC named Erik the last elf. He will be running around to give you a snowglobe. (You may have to follow him around for a while before he will give it to you.)

Chedburn Towers
(https://www.torn.com/christmas_town.php?q=joinToMapHUD&mapID=5ddbf72d9b1c9ed5a02db96b):

This map has a lot of personality built into it courtesy of Smokey123 [248901]. There are several floors to Chedburn Towers and they all have some sort of Torn inside joke attached. It's great to see these images coming to life in a text based game and it's doen in a tasteful way.

From the spawning point take the Fast Travel teleport to Chedburn Towers:

Enter the lobby and zig zag your way up the stairs, each floor.

You will eventually find yourself in an area where you have to answer a series of questions by walking on the corresponding numbers.

The answers are : 3 9 5 4 9 2 6 8

After you get past the numbers section you will be in Ched's office go West and then walk all the way down the stairs on the left side. (blue path)

You will see the check-in room.
Now go south down the stairs, then East and down the little staircase to the basement.

From here go East to the prison cells. you want to go to the last jail cell in the top right corner. Step on the switch to open the cell and make a run for it (You may find it easier to have a friend step on the switch for you.

There is a tunnel dug out here. Follow this path all the way, you will eventually get to a fork in the path go left.

Continue along the path until you enter the vault room.
In the Vault Room the Chedburn NPC will give you the Labyrinth Snowglobe.

Stanley Hotel
(https://www.torn.com/christmas_town.php?q=joinToMapHUD&mapID=5dd407720bbda57f1c26faa9):

This was the first map I played that wasn't your typical find the clue and answer the question. The creator, Drachoth [2411121], was able to emulate the experience of a real battle which was something new to CT maps at the time.

From the starting point you will see a house directly north. Take a couple steps north to the door and enter the house.

You will be teleported into a gated area. Go around and up to activate the gate switch at [188,72]
Continue North-East and follow the blood trail through the forest until you reach a cave.
Enter the cave and you will arrive in the room with the monster.

Use Defend (Shield), then Attack (Swords), Then Magic (Sparkly blue) to kill it.

Finally you end up in the room with Worker Bob who will give you the Sawmill Snowglobe!

Kiss My Festivus

(https://www.torn.com/christmas_town.php?q=joinToMapHUD&mapID=5dcad3790bbda5818177f67a):

This is a huuuge world that is brimming with Christmas fun and detail. The map maker, Kata [1990396], really went out of her way to give you a personalized Torn Christmas experience. You can run around this map and always find something new. Besides the snowglobe there were other fun challenges when the map originally was released and I remember many well spent many hours on this map hunting around.

From the starting point, follow the path North to the taxis and take the taxi to the Dark Forest [coordinates at 96,16]

From there go east along the road and continue east into the snow. You will eventually see a faint blue trail.

Follow the faint blue trail South-East through the woods until you reach a grate [coordinates at 114,-89].

Someone will tell you to take their snowmobile. Go west to the snowmobile and becareful not to step on any of the hollybushes or you will go back to the start.

You will be teleported to the sawmill where the lumberjack hands you the key.
Then walk south and then east (its a long walk east) along the path back to the grate.

Step on the grate to enter it.
There is a bit of a maze now, and you want to end up in the northeast part of the map to another cave opening [coordinates at 156,-74].

You will arrive on an island and there is a swan boat directly underneath you. Take the small stairs up and around to that swan boat.

You will be taken to a new island.
Walk a few spaces south and onto the blue sparkles at [12, -79].

You will be on another island with a few trailers.
Go north into a new cave opening.

This isnt a teleport so just keep walking under the ice in a Northwestern direction, its mostly up and to the left. You will come out of the cave.

Follow this all the way up and then go east when it opens up and you will see a house [entrance to the house at 26,58].

Enter the house, walk north a few steps through the glittery entrance and you will be in the house.
Make your way along South-East and you will see the Evil-Duck NPC who will give you the Car Snowglobe.

Christmas Town
(https://www.torn.com/christmas_town.php?q=joinToMapHUD&mapID=5be8379b241ebe455993a48e):

This is the official Torn Christmas Town map created by Amonette [1963323]. This map takes advantage of the entire buildable space and there is an incredible amount of detail in this one. You will never run out of places to explore, and I feel like the creators have surprised planned for us for the next 5 years with this one.

Take the Reindeer sled to winter fair west [coordinates at 47,44]

Wall South on main road until the blue path 94,3
Go south and then onto the wooden bridge and follow it west.

At the end of the wooden bridge you will reach a lake.

Take these directions on the ice.
4W, 4SW, 19N, 5W, 5S, 10W, 12S, 5E, 7NE, 7W
Straight into the crack In the ice at 63, - 5.

You will be teleported onto an island in the ice cave where the penguin will give you the Tree Snowglobe.

Among Us in Torn
(https://www.torn.com/christmas_town.php?q=joinToMapHUD&mapID=5fadac5ca3778521ed06d5bb):

This is apparently a clone of the game Among Us done in CT. I can't speak to the quality of the details or execution as I have never played Among Us, but what's been done on this map is excellent. Lots of clue hunting and several rooms designed, I like that the creator, MightyGoober [812478], took the time to make 3 individuals maps with different goals.

PLEASE READ!!

The map maker has been frequently altering the answers, so I can't keep the guide constantly up to date. However, the locations of all red buttons will NOT change. Therefore, you have 3 options, brute force the answers, follow some group through, or the old fashioned actually walk through the map and collect all of the clues (which I recommend).

For this puzzle you need to complete 3 maps. You will have to find the "Red Button" to call a meeting and answer the questions before progressing to the next area.

From the Spawn Point walk to the teleport to enter Map 1 [coordinates at 399,12]

In Map 1 you will already be in the Cafeteria, just go down and around to the Red Button [coordinates at 502, -1].

You will then be transported to Map 2.
In Map 2 you will need to walk South along the path and then East enter the vent to get to the next section [coordinates at 556, 24].

Once you go through the vent you will be in the next Cafeteria. Go South to where the Red Button is [coordinates :571,32].

You will be taken to the Office where you find the final Red Button [coordinates at 356, 173].

Huge thank you to rfmswateam [2557219] and all of the awesome people at The Next Level for helping solve this one so quickly.

Pokémon Red/Blue
(https://www.torn.com/christmas_town.php?q=joinToMapHUD&mapID=5f8db38fb7015a05a01b9312) :

For this map it's essentially a clone of the original Pokémon Reb and Blue games with attention to every detail excellently executed by VanilaNightmare [2310825], so if you've played that before you should be well in your element. You only need to get as far as defeating Brock in the first gym to complete the map and receive the Snowglobe. This was one of the most fun and challenging maps I played. I enjoy something thats not the typical, hunt for all of these clues and then answer questions at the end. This map is littered with nostalgia and I just hope that there will be more sections added on in the future!

ATTENTION:
Throughout this map whenever you walk through the tall grass there is a chance that you will "die" and respawn at the Poke Center. This is meant to happen and strictly by chance, so don't assume that something is wrong with the path in the guide, just try it again. If you are repeatedly having trouble on the exact same square, send me a message or post on this forum and I will investigate it.

From the spawn point you start out at your house.
1. Go down the stairs to exit the room.
2. Go outside to exit the house.
3. From there go northeast into the tall grass and you will be teleported into Professor Oaks lab.

Talk to Professor Oak by stepping on him.
Then step onto the table to choose your Pokémon
Pick whichever Pokémon it doesn't matter.

Now you need to pick up a package in Veridian City.
Exit Professor Oak's Laboratory and head north through the grass and to go to Veridian City.

Once you are in the city head to the Poke Mart [coordinates at 134, -3].

Return to professor Oaks lab in the little town that you first began, you can jump down the mountains cliffs on the west side of the path to avoid the tall grass.

Once you have delivered the package to Professor Oak. head back to Veridian City and continue north through the city on the path between the house and the two elves [coordinates at 79,-21].

You need to go to Pewter City so just continue North past the elves.

You should enter a house which will take you to the forest.
You will need to go through the forest to get to Pewter City.
From the entrance of the forest take the path East until you see the tall grass, then North to until the next patch of tall grass.
Go East around the trees and then North.
Now go West around the trees and then North.
Then go West and South through the grass.
Follow this path as you snake through the tall grass.
Loop through the grass along the path and you will eventually exit the forest.

After you exit the forest take the path around the grass and north you will be in Pewter City. Head north and west around to the big house to reach the gym.

Walk straight up to the big Nutcracker and challenge Brock.

Choose the blue Pokémon.
Now use the water attack (middle circle) twice to defeat the Geodude and he will send out Onix.
Use a potion first and then wait until Onix uses screech.
On every turn you will want to use the potion unless onix uses screech, when he does you use a water attack.
You only need to hit him with two water attacks to defeat him.

You will win the battle and be taken to professor oak who will give you the House Snowglobe

Winter in Gatlin
(https://www.torn.com/christmas_town.php?q=joinToMapHUD&mapID=5db19d3b0bbda5ba2672c0db) :

This is a fun map created by Heasleys4hemp [1468764]. Great use of the space and a large world to explore here. Be sure to check out all of the detail that was put into this map.

From the spawn point
Go to the abandoned cottage [coordinates at 14,80].

When you enter the cottage you will be in a small black room, walk to the lit up circle.
In the next room there will be a series of numbers, walk on the number in the following order:
1,4,6,8,7,6,4

In the final room the Epic_Heasley NPC will give you the Skates Snowglobe

DoggoQuest
(https://www.torn.com/christmas_town.php?q=joinToMapHUD&mapID=5fe73b1684282e491c4c917e):

This was most favourite original map for CT that I have played this year. The concept was fresh, the story was humourous. I think that the creator, Fizzloges [2601735], really found a new way to use the map maker. I was exploring the levels of this map and for the first time I didn't even feel that I was playing Torn, it was as if I was inside of an entirely new game. Kudos to this map maker for finding new ways to keep CT creative. I HIGHLY recommend that everybody play through this map fully and try to solve the puzzle on your own first, its worth the challenge.

You begin the map in a room with no memory of how you got there.
Just walk East and the South down the little corridor to exit the room.

You will be taken to Floor 01 of this dungeon.
1. Start by heading Southand then around the wall to attack the first monster that you see [coordinates at 101,1].
2. Then head West to the wall and North to attack the slime creature.
3. Continue North and attack the next monster.
4. Head North around the corner and then East to the staircase to continue [coordinates at 101,1].

On Floor 02 just head directly East to the staircase [coordinates at 11, -19].

You will be taken to Floor 03 of this dungeon.
1. Go East and the South to the wall, then head East and fight the green slime.
2. Continue East past the defeated slime, then South and West around the wall. up North one square and the West to defeat another slime.
3. Head Southwest down the staircase [coordinates at 53, -49].

Now you will be on Floor 04
1. Just go up to the wall and walk between two of the shackles, walk North directly into the wall [coordinates at 15, -65].
2. Head directly North and step onto the red thingy.
3. Then go South and Southeast down the staircase [coordinates at 39, -69]

Now you will be on Floor 5
Head North and then West around the cross in the middle.
Then head South to the next staircase [coordinates at 29, -93].

Now you will be on Floor 6
1. Kill the big green doggo
2. Then go back to the staircase you just came from to Floor 05 [coordinates at 33, -114].

On Floor 05 you will see that a new staircase has revealed itself where the cross used to be.
Head into that staircase [coordinates at 54, -99].

You will now be on Floor ?????
To get the snowglobe you need to wake South down the path and then down the icy steps to Rudolph.
Wake up Rudolph by moving back and forth around to him.
Eventually when you step on him enough Rudolph will hand you the Gargoyle Snowglobe.

Kidnapped Santa

(https://www.torn.com/christmas_town.php?q=joinToMapHUD&mapID=5f8f1fce15d0f81cb74d138d):

You begin this map in a sort of town.

If at any point throughout the journey you are arrested or killed and sent back to the Jail or Hospital, I have labeled them both on the first screenshot, and you just follow the green path to where it matches up with the blue path and then continue with the guide.

Follow the road East and then South.
When you reach what appears to be the end of the road at a dock go a little ways West and step on top of the Elf to take a ferry [coordinates at 124, -30].

You will now be on Fantasy Island.

BE CAREFUL FOR THE WANDERING GREEN NPC, AVOID HIM AT ALL COSTS OR HE WILL KNOCK YOU BACK TO THE BEGINNING.

Go West, and then North and then West around the rock. Be very careful not to step into the water and fall off the cliff or you will die.
Then back down South to where you see some gates.
Walk through the blue gate [coordinates at 111, -60].

Continue South along the road after the blue gate.
Then head East along the road and then South.
Head East again and you should see the House of Terror, enter the building [coordinates at 137, -84].

Head North in this room and enter the cave entrance [coordinates at 164, -81].

Follow the tunnel to reach the cave entrance at the other end [coordinates at 142, -63], avoid all monsters and NPCs.

You will now be on another island.
Head South, then East around the building so that you can enter Santa's Grotto [coordinates at 133, -2].

Head West in the Grotto and the North, and in the Northeast corner of Santa's Workshop you will see a staircase, go down it [coordinates at 169, 4].

IN THIS SECTION YOU WILL NEED TO AVOID ALL TILES THAT APPEAR BROKEN OR DIFFERENT IN ANY WAY AND ALSO AVOID THE Evil-Grinch NPC THAT WANDERS AROUND.

Follow the hallway in the dungeon East and then South avoiding ALL of the different looking tiles. They have little cracks and things in them, if you're on mobile I recommend turning up your brightness just in case.
You will eventually see a little switch with a green light.

Walk on the switch [coordinates at 165, 18] to activate it and then enter the gate that is opened to the North.

Walk up to the Yellow Elf [coordinates at 166, 25] to receive the Puzzle Snowglobe.

If you are having any difficulties at all, send me a message.
I will offer walkthroughs for anyone who is interested.

Bookie Limit still at 10m. What's the status!? · · 40 likes

So, it has been some time since the entire bookie fiasco. Probably close to 2 months since the 10m limit came into effect.
The day that they added the limit we were told that it would be in place until the new bookie provider was coded, which should take about 2 weeks.

In all of this time we found out that it was related to an exploit tied to horse betting. They cancelled all horse betting, but the limit still remained. The accused had their money all removed from the exploit, all the while still no updates on the status of the new bookie provider. We sat through countless DB's because of fallout from this entire situation. Still we haven't had an update relating to the limit being removed.

There is absolutely no reason for this limit to be in place since the source of the exploit has been discovered and the abusers have been punished. Why are we still being punished for other people's mistakes? Between the lack of transparency, the DB's and all of the rest of this collateral damage that has fallen on us, why are us normal people who use the bookies still being punished for this.

I know several people that use the bookies as an outlet instead of gambling their money in real life. This was a very needed vice for them and it's turned them off of the game. Several people play this game only for the casino element. They enjoy that rush, you have taken that away from a large part of the community and it is only hurting us more and more the longer that it goes on.

At the very least we would like some update about what is happening and why this limit is still in place when we were told it would be for 2 weeks. I think the public has a right to know, Ched, what exactly is happening. What are you guys doing? Show us some proof that you are doing something instead of sitting in your asses. We would like some proof that there is an effort to implement this new system before we give up completely and turn ourselves to a new outlet.
