Probably same issue as https://www.torn.com/forums.php#/p=threads&f=19&t=16282738

Has been going on for about 2 hours as far as I noticed.

https://www.torn.com/competition.php goes into loading and 550 error loop supposedly auto reloading when 550 error occurs.

Upon inspecting the network requests with browser's developer tool, POST https://www.torn.com/competition.php?rfcv=<redacted> returned 550 error after about 7 seconds. And continues to repeat itself by auto reloading the page.

Edit: Happened on both Windows 10 Chrome browser as well as Torn PDA in-app browser on iOS.

Edit 2: Also tried logging out and logging back in. Issue persists.

Currently, eating xanax will log this drug usage in the activity log.

You used some Xanax gaining 250 energy and 75 happiness


Since drug cooldown added is a range and not a fixed value, it'll be a great addition to log this as well.

I'm not a good writer but maybe something like this.

I tried 4, 1, 9, 7 and still couldn't solve the captcha so I just used recaptcha instead in the end.

It was an honor to be part of this so I would like to thank Lady_Face for putting this together and my faction mates for making me aware of this.

 

Not to mention it was a meaningful activity to raise awareness to all of us and I personally learned about Pink Ribbon 6 years ago when I received an invitation to attend a Pink Ribbon dinner event.

 

I wish for the best to everyone fighting this disease and hope that we all have learned and remember that early detection saves lives.

HTTP3 is suppose to be more efficient than HTTP2.

HTTP is just a transfer protocol used to exchange data between Torn and our browsers.

Efficiency means cheaper operation cost.

 

I can't imagine anything requiring HTTP3 to work but I guess it could bring HTTP3 clients certain edge when it comes to more realtime gameplay depending on how it's implemented.

Haven't gotten around to providing HAR file as my internet speed hasn't been great recently so I thought it maybe my internet's fault.

 

However, I've tried disabling HTTP3 on Firefox by setting network.http.http3.enable to false in about:config and I haven't experienced the issue for at least a couple of days.

I toggle it back to true and within the next few hours, Torn isn't loading anymore and things worked again when I switched it back to false.

So that's why I'm seeing this issue coming back again for the past week or so.

Has been persisting almost every day ever since this started to happen again.

Will try to provide HAR when possible.

 

In terms of user experience, pretty similar situation from May last year when I talked with Alex via email.

We couldn't come to a full conclusion but we agreed it was due to browser's TCP connection limit.

I just restart my browser or use another browser and it should resolve the issue all the time. (Restarting browser doesn't fix the problem sometimes)

Torn uses ipv4, I'm connected to Cloudflare speedtest in ipv6. I don't think the speedtest will be helpful as I have over 400 mbps down and up with less than 6ms latency and 2ms jitter and 0% packet losses.
However, I still experience the connection loss on Torn.
The requests seems to be getting picked up by Torn's server because my status is still online according to the API even after getting stuck at loading Torn's page for more than 10 minutes.
The problem seems to be me not being able to receive response from Cloudflare so the network requests are stuck in pending state when it's not working.

Same issue here. Have been persisting since 2-3 days before Easter egg event began.
Playing for a bit, everything was working fine as usual until it didn't, all (including static resources like slots sound effects) network requests to www.torn.com were pending for minutes in the developer tools.
Was trying to disable browser extensions but it didn't help. Other sites are working fine with the same browser (Chrome Windows 11)

In the meantime while I wait, I can open Firefox and torn was loading working fine.
I also haven't experienced this on mobile (TornPDA).

I could wait until it eventually recover itself and things will work normally again and the issue repeats itself randomly which just make the game unplayable for the most part.

Congrats! But I don't want to live in a world where you'd get stabbed from the back and get left on the street for no reason.
Although, not dying and donating blood while in the hospital for my future self to get out of hospital sooner don't sound too bad.

Possible Mission Bug (Bring It!) ·

Thank you. The mission objective is completed now without me having to join another group attack.

This is an issue regarding the mission - Bring It! which has the following objective.
  • Defeat Duke, on your own or as part of a group attack.
The issue is the objective didn't get triggered or registered as expected.

Logs
  • 12:40:03 - 29/01/22 You accepted the Duke contract 'Bring it!' (Expert)
  • 12:41:14 - 29/01/22 You used 25 energy attacking Duke and assisted in their defeat [view]
  1. Duke fight begun by other player
  2. Accepted mission
  3. Joined fight from #1
  4. Fight from #1 ended and target was defeated by other player while I was still in the fight and not dead
  5. Expected: mission objective to be cleared; Actual: mission objective was not cleared
I suppose the objective will only count if the mission was accepted before the fight has begun.
However, I expected the objective to count if I accepted the mission and joined a group attack that defeated Duke regardless if the mission was accepted before or after the group attack has begun.

Would be great to know if this was intended or not.
