Dear CRyPTo Leadership,
I do not speak for all members of the alliance, nor do I even speak for all members of my own faction, but I do feel I am speaking for a large, yet quiet majority of this alliance when I say: It is time to accept our losses and start to negotiate the terms of our surrender of this Island War. The ambition of this endeavor was extreme and we were all behind it, but it became clear pretty early on that this would take some time. Still, we believed in what we were doing, we believed we had the stronger alliance (We did), and we believed in our leadership to steer us to the Island for glory.
We had some early victories and things were looking good, but then the unthinkable happened: NS teamed up with Monarch. At first, we all laughed because this proved we had the stronger alliance, and that we were winning this war. But then reality sunk in, and a new realization emerged: Their leadership had a better (albeit questionable) strategy to win this war and they took advantage of it. Are NS going to be giving up a lot of their TT’s/half the Island by including M? Absolutely. But it is not as much TT’s as they would have given up by losing to CRyPTo; Not as much TT’s as we are now giving up by continuing to fight in this war. They decided it was better to lose some than to lose all, which we have pretty much done at this point. No faction within this alliance is better off now then when we started.
An offensive war was never going to work, especially because of the fallacy of the TT war system that is currently in place. A few, really good suggestions have been made as to how to fix this, but who knows if that will ever happen. Since M has joined this war, our strategy has simply been “Let’s wait for them to make a mistake, we’ll catch a break, and then they’re toast” but guess what happened? We made the mistake. There was a break in our defenses, and we let a couple of stronger factions strengthen up the South. The final pin in this coffin was that completely avoidable DB in the PT-F/Carbon TT war. That was the final act of desperation and a true sign that we are at a loss. At this point, the war continues because this is a game (And therefore nothing real to lose) and you, our leaders, are too prideful to admit when something is lost. Since the break in our defense and the DB, you have remained quiet about everything. My faction has not received any orders in nearly 2 weeks and all our leaders are saying is that there is radio silence from CRyPToLeaders.
We have lost the respect of most members of this game because of the poor tactics portrayed and they no longer view CRyPTo as a threat or as a strong alliance. At this point, I implore you to open a line of communication with NS/M, humble yourselves, congratulate them on a good strategy and a good fight, and ask that they be generous when splitting up the territories. We cannot go back to the way we were before, but maybe we can do better than S5/6/7. This was a good battle with very good intentions: we wanted to prove we were the stronger alliance, and we did that, until we weren’t anymore because a new, stronger alliance was created to stop us.
tl;dr: CRyPTo leadership, please end this war and (maybe) save some dignity
