For the past couple/few weeks, my usual devices I torn with were making a weird sound sometimes if I got on to do some thing. After figuring out it even was Torn, a few weeks I've figured out what was doing it. One of my wrong thoughts was "these are gym sounds??"
Well it wasn't in the settings because there are DIFFERENT settings for weird sounds you didn't subscribe to, and you won't find any way to turn them off in there, lol. (it's the gear, bottom right)
There's no way to disable this as best I can tell.
Solution: mute the whole site
I hope this helps someone else who finds random, annoying sounds to be a problem in need of solution. Those who don't, enjoy your ceiling birds and car keyfobs. Devs: maybe provide a way to not?
Thanks, this was helpful! I had faction, trade, global, and company all defaulted to "flash" but not flash and sound. I just changed them to be fully off, and then two of them reset themselves when I double-checked the status. Maybe this will fix it? I'll unmute the site and see how well that works.
Not trying to speak poorly of Torn, but this seems like pretty bad QA for an automatic mass migration.

I was about to report this in a new thread, glad I searched first and found this already seems to cover it.
While the wheel is still spinning, you can see the result before hitting the stop button by inspecting network activity. When I saw that I won a punch to the face, I filled up a bunch of blood bags before hitting stop.
As long as this is okay and not an exploit, I'll probably keep doing it. Don't ban me? Yeah? Yeah!
