I feel like a function to be able to lock items so that selling them in the item market or putting them into bazaars would make it easier for players.
I know there is a select all button but if players don't want certain items to be selected and could lock or unlock them, then the select all function would be a lot more useful.
They would stay locked in the inventory so you can't use them or sell accidentally unless u manually.
There are alot of traders and flyers that could make use for this so I thought I would bring it up.
Location:City Impound Lot Objective:Extract the sheikh’s supercar Status: Success — with casualties
They called it a ghost job: in and out, quiet, clean. That was the plan, anyway. But plans crack under pressure — especially when you're after a sheikh’s one-of-a-kind supercar stashed deep inside a government-run impound lot. Kaiv was first to slip the perimeter. Eyes sharp, he scoped out the yard, zeroing in on a gleaming beast of a car penned behind a container wall. No easy exit — not without heavy lifting. The only thing that could move the obstacle? A rusted forklift parked nearby.
But there was a catch: they'd need the car’s key fob to get moving. That’s when Elsheikh got to work. While Kaiv kept watch, Elsheikh slinked toward the impound office. The lock on the door was cheap; his picks made short work of it. Inside, the key cabinet loomed like a treasure chest. Kaiv pressed the fob. The supercar answered with a cocky beep-beep — just loud enough to screw them. A guard perked up outside. The team froze. Then Skitally — ever the actor — stepped into the light with a fake badge and a cop’s swagger. “Investigation detail,” he barked. “Need a truck. You’ll get your paperwork later.” The guard hesitated... then folded. Skitally had bought them precious time.
With the guards misdirected, Kaiv fired up the forklift — and immediately slammed it into the shipping container with a steel-shaking CRASH. Alarms didn’t go off, but every head in the yard turned. As guards converged, Skitally sprang into damage control. “Stand back,” he ordered. “I’m calling this in.” His performance held their attention just long enough. Xaima took the forklift reins next. Her control was shaky, but she got the job done — sliding the container clear and revealing a gate... padlocked, of course. Elsheikh cursed under his breath. Xaima didn’t wait. Gunning the forklift, she rammed the gate like a battering ram. It gave way with a metallic scream, and the whole yard came alive. Lights. Yelling. Radio static. Sirens rising. Inside the yard, their path out was blocked by a civilian car.
The team tried to push it, but the handbrake refused to budge. Xaima grabbed a pipe and shattered the window. The car alarm wailed like a banshee — just as the guards regrouped. Once again, Skitally stepped up, stalling with righteous fury and cop-speak. It bought them enough time to muscle the car back. But it wasn’t over. With footsteps approaching, Xaima pulled one last stunt — sprinting into view, screaming like a madwoman to draw attention. The others seized the moment, slamming the sheikh’s car into gear and flooring it through the broken gate. The impact flung Xaima to the ground. But there was no time to look back. They left the scene with tires screaming and a fortune on four wheels. Xaima would understand. Or at least, she’d survive.
Faction Operation Log: “Soft Lock” Location:First Sovereign Bank – Financial District Objective: Infiltrate rear loading zone using stolen cash transport, extract physical ATM cash before morning audit Status:Success — zero alarms, zero trace
They called it a soft lock — a quiet smash-and-grab where nothing was supposed to feel illegal. No alarms, no blood, just uniforms, timing, and a key in the right slot. The crew rolled in behind the bank in a stolen cash delivery van, empty boxes stacked high like they'd just made a run. It was a disguise that worked — at least long enough.
Kaiv led the way, nodding at the lone guard by the loading gate. The man barely looked up, gave a grunt, and waved them through. Just like that, they were inside.
Kaiv and Skitally peeled off toward the ATMs. Their job was simple: crack open the vaults behind the machines and load whatever hadn’t been pulled yet. Outside, Brain42 sat nursing a black coffee across the street, watching the main doors with a borrowed pair of binoculars and a burner phone.
Skitally worked fast — too fast. The first ATM opened clean, but it was dry. No cash, just empty trays. He punched the casing, teeth gritted, already behind schedule. Kaiv took the key next. The second machine clicked open like a dream — jackpot. Bills stacked neatly in trays, untouched. They swept it into the first box.
Third machine? Out of order. Fourth? Skitally’s turn again. It opened with a heavy creak, overstuffed with crisp bills. The kind of haul no one reports missing until Monday morning.
That’s when Brain42 spotted movement — the bank manager, walking fast and flanked by a junior teller. He buzzed the team: “Incoming. You’ve got one minute, tops.”
Brain42 didn’t wait. He dumped his coffee and followed the pair inside, sliding into character mid-step. He intercepted the manager with a perfect blend of desperation and charm. “Ma’am, I need help — it’s my credit, my business, my—” he choked up on cue. “Please... I don’t have anyone else.”
The manager hesitated. Then softened. She guided him to a side office. She never saw the security footage flickering behind her.
Back at the ATMs, Skitally hit a snag — literally. The key jammed in the final lock. He cursed under his breath, yanked, twisted, and prayed. It clicked. The machine opened. Kaiv jumped in to help bag the rest.
With full boxes in hand, they wheeled the load back through the service hall. The same guard who’d waved them in raised the barrier without a word. The van rolled out, slow and steady.
Brain42 made his excuses and exited through the front. Two blocks later, he climbed into the van beside the others. No chase. No trace.
They drove off into the morning haze with four cash boxes full of unmarked bills — and not a single soul the wiser.
I start my faction when I first began torn (terrible idea) I had no clue what I was doing. I themed it around Anime since there were none that I found so and being able to train new players and helping them grow, that was the main reason.
2- how did you go about recruiting? how strict were you with kicking unsuitable members?
I don't really have to recruit, I just open my application and turn on looking for members and the apps usually come flying in now, before I used the donator filter search ability to find new players.
3- how much has your faction grown? over what period of time?
My faction has grown from 0 to 50k respect, we bought a 100k then grew to 200k as we are now. 5-6 years total.
4 - how many hours per day did you spend on it? what did you love? what did you hate?
Before i had a real Job/Life i spent 12-15hrs a day. Now about 6-8 throughout the day beside check-in's
5- How much have you invested into the faction? How much of it was from faction activities (rw, OCs, territories)?
Prob like 400$ irl in DPs at least. I never kept track. Now we use RWs as funding.
6- how much have you profited personally? if no profit, what have you done with the money from faction activities, and was it worth it?
I play for others, I have extremely neglected my account in truth simply bc I find joy in helping players grow.
