We already have merits for spending certain lengths of time as a Donator, Married, and in a Faction. So why do we not have ones for spending time in a single company?

Alright so, since you're able to delay someone's flight. What if you were able to use a job special to remove time from someone's flight? Like 50 job points to remove 2 hours from someone's flight. I know everyone hates being on a plane for 3 hours at a time, so what if you could pay a friend to simply remove most of that travel time? It wouldn't even have to be a specific length of time if you wanted it to be balanced. Maybe 2/3 of the remaining flight time or something.
But at the same time, it is something similar with factions. Your faction leaders could end up deciding "You don't get any benefits from here anymore, sorry. But you can stay for the merits." It encourages employee loyalty just like it encourages loyalty to your faction, or marriage loyalty. That's why you have to join a company with a reputable owner, just like your faction has to have a reputable leader in order to encourage you to stay. And if it has been suggested before, that's because it is a good idea. You're softlocked into a faction or a marriage, just as much as you would be into one company. If you leave your company on good terms you can always return later

Well Ched needs to realize if a large proportion of the community want it then it is probably a good idea. If he doesn't like commitment merits, he shouldn't have made any at all because people expect it for just about everything you can continuously do. I've been in my current company for just under 200 days and the thought has never crossed my mind to move. I was in my previous one for about as long and only switched because I realized the benefits of an AN were better for lower levels.
