How it'll work: pretty much just a lottery. Simply reply to this thread (once per person only please :3) and in a week I will enter all of the usernames of the players who replied into this thing - https://miniwebtool.com/random-name-picker - to pick a winner who will receive the 50 xanax :D
May the odds be ever in your favour >->

"How To Get People To Stop Attacking Me?" - a common question asked by many new players.
Attacking is legal in Torn, no matter how excessively.
If someone is repeatedly attacking you and winning or spam attacking you, you can do several things.
To find out which of these things will be of most use to you, ask yourself some questions:
Was the attacker mugging you?
If so, the motive to their attacks may have been to gain money. Try keeping your money safe; this will probably prevent them from continuing the attacks. A "Ghost Trade" is one way you can do this. Yennenga [2246161] explains this concept very well: "A trade which is deliberately not accepted by one of the parties so as to "lock" the money up safely whilst the trade is pending." If you do not like this method of keeping your money safe, you can check out this great guide by Destroys for several other methods: https://www.torn.com/forums.php#!p=threads&f=61&t=15995211&b=0&a=0.
Are your gym stats up to scratch?
If not, train them as much as you can! If they can't beat you, they will probably stop attacking you. In order to do this, head over to the gym, found at this link: https://www.torn.com/gym.php. Since training on naturally regenerated energy is quite gradual, you might prefer to spend some extra money to give a boost to your gym stats. There are two ways to achieve this - Choco Jumping, and Happy Jumping. Happy Jumping provides a bigger boost then Choco Jumping, but it is also much more expensive. Check out this guide by IceeSwirl on Choco Jumping, https://www.torn.com/forums.php#/p=threads&f=61&t=16077517, and this step-by-step guide by Iribuya on Happy Jumping, https://www.torn.com/forums.php#/p=threads&f=61&t=16047184&b=0&a=0.
Are your gym stats in a good ratio?
One reason you may be losing the attacks is because you might simply have a bad ratio of strength, to defense, to speed, to dexterity; even if your total stats are higher than your attacker's, sometimes you may lose due to this. I personally recommend keeping your gym stats split somewhat evenly, especially while you are new and at least until you reach the Middleweight Gyms. As you progress in the game, you may realise that there is (a) particular battle stat(s) you would like to focus on. If you are not sure about which stat(s) you would like to focus on, try to keep them around even.
Do you have a drug addiction?
Another reason you may be losing the attacks is that you may have a drug addiction. I personally recommend not taking any more drugs until your addiction is gone, or it will continue to increase. One effect of a drug addiction is that it decreases your battle stats, therefore making it more likely that you will lose to whoever is attacking you. If you are under level 15, you can reduce your drug addiction by simply to just waiting until it is gone, or by obtaining the perks from working in a flower company, night club, or cruise line. Once you reach level 15, you can also travel to Switzerland and get rehab there.
Are you under the influence of xanax cooldown while being attacked?
If your battle stats are under the influence of xanax, this may be a reason why you are losing if you are being spam attacked. Xanax, by default, gives you a 35% reduction to all battle stats during the cooldown period. Xanax cooldown is between 6-8 hours, so your battle stats will be decreased for that period of time as well. If you are getting spam attacked while under xanax cooldown, it can make you weaker and easier to be defeated. Once you are off this cooldown, you will notice that you are stronger and less weak, and therefore more likely to win attacks.
Do you have any bounties on you and are you being repeatedly hospitalised?
There are many bounty hunters in Torn City, so if you have bounties on your head, particularly bounties worth a lot of money, there is a possibility that you will be attacked repeatedly until all of your bounties have been claimed. When claiming a bounty, you need to hospitalise someone in order to claim it. There is really no way around this, until your bounties are claimed or until they expire. If you are repeatedly getting bountied for one particular reason, I recommend you stop doing whatever you were doing that upset the person/people who bountied you.
Have you been begging recently?
Often, new players may feel the urge to beg for money or items. I understand this may be tempting - earning some free items/money by simply asking for it seems like a dream come true - but begging in my personal opinion is not the way to go; the beggar will end up drowning in bounties (see the above point), be continuously attacked, and will earn a bad reputation for themselves. To avoid this from happening, take my advice - simply do not beg.
Were you recently talking on public chats?
You can often find many lurkers lurking in public chatrooms, thirsty for targets to leave, mug, or claim the bounty of. I know from personal experience that there are many of these lurkers in the Trading Chatroom, as well as in the New Players Chatroom. One good thing is that the lurkers in the New Players Chatroom tend to attack people with lower levels much more than level holders and people with higher levels; the higher the level in the New Players Chatroom, the less likely you are to be attacked. This is apparent, even though players lose the New Players Chatroom at level 13. If you have the issue of being attacked while talking in the New Players Chatroom, try working on levelling up in order to be less of a target. I have no experience with the Global Chatroom, but I have heard that there are lurkers there as well. The only ways to avoid being attacked by lurkers completely is by training your gym stats in order for them to not be able to beat you (the second point in this guide talks about this concept), or by simply not talking in Public Chatrooms unless you are already in hospital or jail.
Are your weapons and armour up to scratch?
I strongly recommend purchasing some better quality armour and weaponry if they are not. The quality of these can impact the amount of damage and the accuracy of the hit you make and the amount of damage you receive when someone attacks you. Invest some of your money into this; it will help you a lot. I would recommend using a Diamond Bladed Knife (more expensive option) or Macana (cheaper option) as your melee weapon, an ArmaLite M-15A4 Rifle (more expensive option) or an Enfield SA-80 (cheaper option) as your primary weapon, and a BT MP9 as your secondary Weapon. (p.s. If you happen to be a billionaire, go for the Gold Plated AK-47as your primary weapon... They cost a lot... as my friend Jimi once said - "They cost about 1/4 of your soul usually.") I also recommend, if you can afford it, to buy a ton of pepper spray and toggle your settings so that temporary weapons would be equipped again once you use them if you have more of the same weapon lying in your inventory. Once you equip the pepper spray and use it, the opponent becomes Maced, decreasing Dexterity to 1/5th for 15-20 seconds. Unless they are wearing a particular helmet that prevents this, such as a motorcycle helmet which protects them against pepper spray, the pepper spray should do its job and hopefully make it easier to beat your opponent!
Some other general information that may help:
New Player Protection:
When a player first joins the game, they receive something known as New Player Protection. This means that during their first day (Day 0) nobody is able to attack them, and up until day 14, the only people who can attack them are other new players who have this New Player Protection. If you still have this protection, I really recommend making as much use of this protection as you possibly can.
I hope this will help you in your mission to get people to stop kicking your behind, and maybe you might be able to kick theirs back in return :)
There are many different ways to get money in Torn as the people above have said, such as trading, selling graphics, selling losses/slutting, etc. I'm surprised no one has posted this yet, but here's a great guide by Kayla you might like to check out regarding this topic: https://www.torn.com/forums.php#/forums.php?p=threads&f=61&t=16085195.
Adding onto what SeaLion and Chenjh0210, since selling losses is a fairly popular method for new players and is one of the fastest means for money-making at a low level, I reckon I may as well elaborate on it..
The one of the quickest ways to make good money at a low level is to slut/sell losses. This means to intentionally lose to another player. Each loss/slut can earn you around 250-350k each. If you would like to know more, check out this guide on selling losses specifically: https://www.torn.com/forums.php#/p=threads&f=61&t=15932096&b=0&a=0
You can sell these losses through advertisement in the Trade Chat or by advertisement in the relevant forums (here: https://www.torn.com/forums.php#/p=threads&f=10&t=15907670&b=0&a=0&start=2440&to=20078983)
You cannot exactly delete a thread, but they can be moved to the Graveyard.
To grave a thread, it is best to change the title and description to something along the lines of "please grave" and report the thread with the same reason. It should be moved to the graveyard soon enough after doing so.

Levelling:
Nearly all actions in Torn give levelling experience, but attacking, defeating, then leaving players yields the most. You will be redirected to a level-up page once the requirement is fulfilled, which can be revisited from the top of your home page.
"Safari - Make sure you click accept contract, equip a rifle style weapon, and purchase an abundance of ammunition. Now travel to South Africa and click on people. Your target will be flashing. It does not matter how long they have been inactive, they will appear for you. Attack them and use only the rifle for all attacks. NOTE:At least 1 of the targets is a standard target and is not revivable. Reported that temporary items like Pepper Spray and Tear Gas do not count as a hit, confirmed."
There are several ways in which people bring the NPC's life down to zero in order to beat them. The guide I'll link at the end of this post should outline the typical method of doing so.
As for why people attack them, from the wiki... "Groups of players can team up to attack Non-Playing Characters (NPCs) in order to be rewarded with loot - special items, such as clothing or weaponry, only obtainable via this method."
As mentioned by Runalf, there is the ability to try to attack them, but you will almost certainly lose. Despite this, if I recall correctly, BodyBagger has managed to beat NPCs by himself.
For some more information you might like to check out this guide:
Adding onto what the people above have said, you may want to check out the relevant page in the wiki for more information regarding the topic of levelling. Furthermore, this page will give you a list of the actions in Torn which contribute to levelling experience: https://wiki.torn.com/wiki/Level_and_Ranks
If you would like to take the advice regarding the fact that the fastest way to level up is by attacking and leaving high level users, one way to find such users is through levelling target lists such as this one: https://www.torn.com/forums.php#/p=threads&f=61&t=16070031
Here's the relevant page on the wiki that should answer any questions you have: https://wiki.torn.com/wiki/Piggy_bank.
I'll just summarise some of the info here:
- Can be bought in the first 7 days of the game in the Mission Credit Store for 5 missions credits. - Can't be acquired or traded any other way apart from the above and is not seen in the store again. - You can add an unlimited amount of money through the inventory page into it. - The amount of money can be seen in your personal stats page, and the money in it is counted towards your total networth, - There is no way for anyone else to access this money (e.g. it is not possible to attain any money in the piggy bank through mugging) - To access the money, it must be opened, but once this is done so the item disappears and cannot be recovered.
I just hit 666 days of Torn, but I wouldn't say that I've been cursed.
In my time playing, nothing terribly cursed has occurred to me or my account. I would say I've been relatively lucky; barely any overdoses, haven't lost much money in the casino (although I've learnt to avoid that place), etc. I wouldn't say my account has been cursed (yet), but I know of people who have been much less fortunate than me. What is the most cursed thing that has happened to you in Torn?
Spent a long time and millions upon millions trying to look p r e t t y . Ended up looking like something that'll turn up in your nightmares. Never thought that a nun mask and a ballgown could look so horrific, but at least now I can say "Shut it peasant! My hat is worth more than your house! ".
Great trader! Bought some pretty neat 0.00% quality combat gloves from him which now live in my display cabinet for a reasonable price :3 Would recommend!!
You may be able to find a spouse in the Personals section of the Newspaper [https://www.torn.com/personals.php#!p=main] (as mentioned earlier), the Trade Chat, or the forums (as also mentioned earlier). If you happen to have a possible-spouse in mind but do not know how to propose to them, check out Bapki's Guide to Indirectly Proposing ~ https://www.torn.com/forums.php#/p=threads&f=61&t=16109902
There was a larger one on BodyBagger allegedly.. "...The $1 billion bounty that was placed on me a few years ago was worth it and the strongest faction in Torn got together to collect it."
