Its clear IMO what has happened here, its a lazy attempt by staff or an auto-recovery system to correct large changes in networth difference made between certain dates.
StonerSteve had approx $14bn reduced to a negative value between approx June 24th and August 5th. So they've cleared the approx $31bn networth increase you made in the same period.
Lazy, ineffective method of reparation to the game from cheating, affecting good players who actually benefit torn. If more time was spent spotting these multis... instead of deducting from honest players using drunk metrics, and giving the perps 12 day fed sentences, this kind of thing would stop happening.
Sort it out. You don't need as much proof to ban multis as you should do to deduct someone $30bn, one should be clear cut cheating from trades, the other is likely an account or accounts that log on every day in a company that also has the same types of accounts, who never log on for more then 10mins a day, never rack up merits or money.

As the thread currently a few below this indicates, I was recently fedded for 7 days for "Harassment" which continued the accurately described Witch Hunt, over some pretty butt-hurt people looking for an an ego-stroke over their tarnished rep and Torn-departed lovers who I have exposed. I ain't crying about being fedded, but for those who've never had the expertise to achieving this Torn feat, here's my experience...
Firstly some background: I received a Fed sentence of 3 days at the end of July while I was offline, and had no idea about, NONE! You can ask Poptop who I questioned about it to confirm, I was totally shocked to discover that those claiming Id recently been in fed weren't kidding... and I was out basking in the sun totally unaware (no big loss).
This GIF, which was my way of displaying my abject humour for other players in-game failings, and subsequently needed a disclaimer because unbeknown to me, one of the players in question did actually have the impediment of what I assume was... being a gorilla who can't ride a bike?! I'm still blissfully unaware what was wrong with it, or how it could be related to another players IRL impediments I know nothing about:

If you are warned for something once, posting the warning will make it no less of a harassment.
I won't go into the fact that the image used was heavily modified and cropped (in a non-offensive way), nor the fair-use law of non-commercial usage of non-copyright material, or the fact that the Daily Star did not respond to my RFI which I assume means the image was free to use. BUT I will concede that new GDPR rulings mean Torn seriously needs to cover its ass, so if you want anything removing, like someone making sad references to you on their profile signature, just cry copyright like a baby and they'll take it down...
So I ended up in Fed for 3 days, whilst I was away for a long weekend, and came back to do some usual forum splurging, no notification of having served any fed time (I believe that last part should change).
As I often like to pop open a craft ale and browse through the endless piles of crap that the forum produces, I did just that and decided in my INFINITE wisdom to post what I believed was a relatively humorous comment (as you'll see from the content) about Ched.
I will NOT be repeating the comment, I leave it up to your own imagination. I do not endorse IRL harassment on the game, nor did I, or do I believe the comment to be factual in any way, it was clearly meant in a funny manner, and I apologise to Chedburn for outrageous slander.
This was considered a THIRD harassment rule breach within a certain grace/cool-off period, which resulted in a week of Federal Jail!
I know 500 words is a lot for some of you, so TL;DR: Here's how you can easily end up in Fed for a week and push the limits of the game owner's humour...
I think you’ll be shocked to hear it, because it happens s outdoors, but manure spreads are vital to the excellent organic food produce by our nations farmers.
Feeding the Nation during this pandemic is a VITAL role, all the while some people are just furloughed on Torn.
Farmers like myself are keeping you healthy with our muck spreaders, tractors and long hours, doing real work for real people. Then we come here and give even more.
