Hey guys, Somalian back again after my almost 3 year hiatus fighting a rare form of colorrectal cancer! It’s so good to be back and I’ve missed you all so much! It seems theres a new gender option and thats amazing as my goal has always been to fight descrimination on this site!
However, I’ve noticed there’s not many people of colour (POC!) in Mr and Ms Torn which bothers me very much so clearly my work here is not done and I’m here to stay until this changes!
Hey guys, Somalian here! I am currently studying Evolution right now and it's taking me 2 weeks to complete! I find this utterly ridiculous and it should be put down to either one day or even less! This long wait time totally ruins the replay-ability of Torn as I find myself waiting to long to complete the coarse, or anything with a wait time/cooldown for that matter! So then, do you guys think we should have little to no wait time in torn? I personally think it would make the game so much better.
Hey guys, Somalian here! Recently on Torn, in the forums, I've noticed many people have been awfully mean in the forums and it really upsets me. I really don't appreciate it when people post comments on my threads calling me stupid, a multi, or even insulting the entirety of my faction. It really hurts my feelings and it's sad to see other people suffer the same fate as I. Therefore, I reach out to all of you. If you are ever thinking about posting something mean on someones thread please don't. Don't make this community worse than it already is. If anyone has suffered the same fate as I and have been bullied in there own threads, please reach out to me. Perhaps we can start a community to all help each other out with the ruthless harassment. Please note that I am not trying to insult the community as a whole. There are many good people on Torn such as Joei, DUDE & MrLongCock, just to name a few but many are filled with toxicity for some reason and I would like to help whoever is being harassed or even those who feel the need to hate on other people and hopefully clean up the forums a bit. Hey guys, Somalian here! Since I've been on Torn for a couple of weeks now I would just like to open up about my identity to you all. Growing up I lived in Somalia where my family and I resided in the capital city called Mogadishu. Despite it being urban, it was a quiet town. There I discovered I wasn't like the other boys, I didn't like girls like they did and I played dress up with the other girls instead of football (Soccer for you Americans) with the boys. In my teenage years I started to develop an attraction to boys and I never understood why. I never told my family about it and to this day I still haven't. It's very shunned upon and uncommon in Somalia for a gay person to be living there and I'm afraid my parents will hate me if I come out to them and yet im 34 years old. Anyways I just got married to a man in torn and for some stupid reason it makes me feel like im being myself in this game. I know that sounds silly, but this game is allowing me to role play as the life I've always wanted. Anyways I would just like the thank the torn community for being so understanding and nice to me these past couple weeks. Thank you so much for at least helping me feel wanted and like im not an outcast for once. :)
It's honestly disgusting how a community of trolls can band together and attack someone and see them as their enemy like what they do to you Joei. This community is disgusting and people like Baldr are relentless trolls. It amazes me how someone like Baldr can make a list of people to attack at a low level to level up and then get thousands of likes over it. They are literally encouraging assault and it sickens me. What did those poor people on that list do to deserve such hatred?
I had 4 months of radiotherapy and then 12 sessions total of chemo with 6 sessions followed by a surgery and 3 months rest and then 6 more months of chemo. I dont know where you are getting these “facts” from but thats just false. At least with my country’s medicare system. :)
From my experience with both Chemotherapy and radiotherapy, your story seems incredibly likely to have been fabricated. Also please do not simply ignore the fact that Torn does not have a problem with its lack of representation of minorities because it absolutely does. Just because Torn has a strong black community does not mean there are not underlying problems that my brothers and sisters face everyday on sites such as this one. Your ignorance is frankly disturbing and I suggest you stay away from the Torn forums.
Just rounding up! I’m sorry my my math has disturbed you! Before I left I had gotten into Torn very heavily for 3-4 months and of course I had to leave, so my time inbetween leaving and coming back is a bit foggy due to things such as chemo and just the time passed in general. Sorry if this bothered you!
I find your lack of sympathy towards a stage 4 cancer survivor disturbing. I have worked hard to make a comeback and make a positive change and you have done nothing but critisize me from the get go.

I would like to consider Joei to be a moderator on my threads, she is simply being a good person and reminded people to not derail for the good of this forum. Therefore, I would consider her input vital to the forum thread and therefore not derailing.
Hey guys, Somalian here! So far during the Torn Easter Egg Hunt, I've only found one egg! I know, it's incredible! Anyways, I feel as if I should be getting more and it sucks that I don't have as many as some of the people here in the forums are saying and bragging about! Anyways I would just like to kindly ask you to (if you can) send me some eggs that you find! I would really appreciate it and I also think I deserve some eggs since I've helped the Torn community by shaming trolls and bigots to try and make the community a little less toxic. I've also given my views on many controversial things in Torn like the speeding up of education classes and such and they were very well received by the community and some good suggestions. So please, if you feel as if you can, send me some eggs out of the kindness of your own heart so I may continue to help Torn the best I can! Thank you! :)
This thread is about the stigma revolving low karma and how low karma does not reflect a person's intellect or personality. Joei has said it multiple times and it seems like it will have to back him up on this... PLEASE STOP DERAILING THIS THREAD. This is not about grammar or farm animals. Please do not insult undeserving people such as Joei.
I am karma shamed often and always on my threads. It's quite sad how people can't come up with a valid argument and instead decide to karma shame you because they have nothing better to say. When people karma shame you, that's when you know you've simply outplayed them and won the argument.
For awhile now, the education system in torn has boggled my mind. We enter the game as adults and somehow we have 0 intelligence? In my opinion to make it feel more like a role playing game, you should enter the game with 1000 intelligence. I also think instead of the subject trees, they should group a subject tree together so you can do the entirety of biology for example, in the span of one class of 20 days because it takes way too long to do all the classes. Anyways, let me know what you guys think! :)
As many of you know, the only character models in the game are white males and females. Since this is an RPG game, I find that quite unrealistic and I being a black male from Somalia was quite disappointed to see I couldn't be a person of my own race and I personally think adding different races into the game would allow the whole sense of "Role Playing" to be much more pronounced as people can freely choose their race. Just a thought however, let me know what you all think! :)
