Paying off some bills before I finally consign this account to the slammer, but people get fedded for breaking the rules AND because staff dislikes them. Breaking the rules usually gets the staff to dislike them, because it creates work and is effectively a challenge to their authority (staff is here in part to enforce rules).
Rules (and laws IRL) generally are not enforced to the letter, but if you piss people off, things will get hard enforced on you. Remember that Al Capone, for instance, did not go to jail for conspiracy or being an accomplice to the many murders he was involved in, but for tax evasion.
===
I'm not saying that Dek shouldn't get fedded or perma-fedded, or that he's an unpopular guy (lots of enemies, despite the vocal minority trying to spin this into "bogie's on a power trip!"), but I'm just telling you how things work IRL and by extension how they work in TORN. Don't piss off cops, don't piss off judges, don't piss off staff.
If you end up trying to push the rules for constant staff harassment and player harassment, don't be surprised if staff pushes back.
===
Overall, staff isn't your bitch. Ched isn't your bitch. It's private property and staff isn't beholden to you directly, they're beholden to Ched. If you don't like it, leave. And I'm sure a lot of undesirables would be proud to leave the game over the fedding of a vocal anti-Semite and player harasser.
You could make an argument that this is staff being biased, but biased in favor of whom? In previous controversial decisions, you see a minority that seemingly subverted staff for their own narrow interests (you're not allowed to renege on accepting XYZ's blackmail because of council), but in this case, it's a guy who's obviously toxic and has enemies out the wazoo. If the staff, this time, is biased in favor of the community, where's the damn problem?
Does TORN have a pricing policy? I've seen the cost of certain assets go down by about 25-50% over the 1 year timespan since I've played TORN; medpacks, for instance, are down 50%. Certain weapons seem to be down 20%.
In the event of deflation, will Ched etc take action to stimulate the economy and get things moving again?
Many players spend all their time on TORN poker, often spending DPs to recover losses. With such popularity, it might be viable to run a poker tournament. Likewise, TORN is a game that sometimes requires strong control of money supply, and players like merits.
Suggestion:
TORN should get coding for Poker tournaments run according to actual tournament rules, with coding for tournament formats. A Poker tournament with a designated buy-in and a designated payout could allow TORN to reduce the money supply as needed; i.e, the total amount of money that goes into poker is variable, but the total amount of money returned into the in-game money supply is static.
Semi-annual or annual poker tournaments could allow players to showcase their skills in a tournament format, with a fixed buy-in of 1 billion, 100 million, and 10 million, depending on how players would like to play it. The buy-in would provide for them poker tokens that would be locked to a table, and the players that do best at a particular table would be able to move on to the next table. A pay-out roster based on the number of people who sign up as well as how much money supply TORN admins would like to reduce could be arranged, giving cash prizes (unmuggable) to the first, second, and third place winners of each tournament.
There could also be awards granted for the poker tournament. These could include:
-Participation (i.e, everyone wants to get in, even if they lose) -First Place -Second Place -Third Place -Top 10 Finisher -Top 100 Finisher
I just want to see how people would feel if Dekloren somehow got Perma Fedded, not that this is somehow binding on Bogie or in any way affects staff behavior. This will probably get me bountied, though.
Voted neutral myself, but the drama is worth popcorn.

I'm more upset that Dek's friends (and he does have friends) are trying to astroturf up a ruckus. There's a poll in Graveyard. As of right now, there's 57 votes. The vast majority (6+58%) would be happy if Bogie, for whatever reason, permafedded Dekloren. A smaller minority doesn't give a shit (25%). The remainder, or about 10% of the community (and note it's 10%!) would be either annoyed or pissed off.
In either case, I'm decomming this account. I'm permanently C-banned and I'm getting out of here.
You can check the polling thread in Graveyard. Only 10% of respondents would be upset if Dek got perma-fedded by Bogie. Around 25% don't care, and 65% would be either overjoyed or happy.
Just a kibitzer tired of the drama in the Dekloren Fed thread.
I personally don't feel either way about Dekloren; he mugs me, but I play in a way where I really don't care about hosping.
But I'd like to get an idea of player opinions beyond the highly vocal exchange (which represents the loudest voices, not the prevalent ones) in the Dekloren Fed thread, not that it'd actually do anything.
I just want to see how people would feel if Dekloren somehow got Perma Fedded, not that this is somehow binding on Bogie or in any way affects staff behavior. This will probably get me bountied, though.

Cultural difference. There's a lot of people who support Dekloren's ethos, less than some may think with recent events, but more than one would prefer. So he hears himself and doesn't care.
This forum apparently is nothing less than shitposters piling on shitposters. TBH, since Bogie is likely not going to fulfill Ched's endless string of threats (or his own), this isn't interesting. See you in 30 days, Dek, after which we'll have a cooling down period until Dekloren pisses off the mods again, then we have yet another revolving door Fed. Apparently, there is no enough.
If you annoy staff, you are wasting their time and preventing them from doing their jobs. Attacking staff may be one thing, as there's a myriad of reasons to do so (such as faction wars, etc), but when you've deliberately wasted staff's time with repeated feds, de-Feds, and drama, you probably should be perma-fedded.
@FirstLeonidas: consider just buying 500 Morphines + 200 FAKs and being done with it. You should be able to play while using medical supplies to get out of bounty-related hosps. He'll eventually get bored of hosping.
But isn't the entire point of scamming to exploit friends and trust?
That said, sorry you guys took losses there. If you have good documentation of never having been paid back, consider contacting his leader for remuneration.
If you're good at this, you know when your wins exceed EV and know when to stop.
In either case, Blackjack is more challenging than people think, especially with what seems to be "enhanced volatility", wherein gains are magnified in the same direction as losses.
===
TBH, people really should go calculate the EV for things and stop gambling when the EV is bad, or consider strategies to manage loss streaks (which isn't Martingale). Or, well, check out the Roulette "Top 10 Winners" list. Every one of them has lost money there to extreme extents.
@NICEandEasy: TORN I suspect has its PRNG rigged for enhanced volatility. Streaks are more common than they should be.

Also, if you keep on discussing Keno, I did the math. Keno's best bet is like 1 select, which is neutral (except for your time and loss of casino token). Keno overall should cause you to lose money. Same with Roulette.
In my experience, the DP price floor has dropped in the past 12 months, from something around 24 million to 23.1 million. I'm wondering if the DP price floor is handled dynamically (i.e, it goes down or up based on average value).
Also, long-term, it appears the price of DPs have been dropping. I recently had DPs at 23.1 million, when this time last year it was 25 million, while this time two years ago it was almost 27 million.
