Also, for the naysayers, there really is an issue here. Although there is also a whole other issue of people playing on bad connections, playing while distracted, playing from a cell signal in the middle of nowhere, people colluding, and my person favorite, people just stalling to tick everyone off. I don't believe any table other than a beginner table should have a 60 second timer.

From a collusion standpoint there should be a shorter time to reduce the effectiveness of cheaters. But this is a different topic.

This actually may be part of the issue. I have almost completely stopped switching browsers while playing and I don't see it happening now. I have had it happen once lately and I don't remember if I was switching or not, but I will start documenting it.

Exactly! I quit for this very reason. There are way too many very easily correctable things in this game that just leave people frustrated if not down right angry. As we speak the love of my life is rage cleaning over this very issue. Fully stacked and doing well at the tail end of a xanax competition (that I get woken up for by the way), and probably all for nothing because of this Halloween basket she can't get.

Hopefully she gets sick of being frustrated soon so I can get Torn out of my life permanently!

I posted in bug forum but I had a royal flush earlier but the hand history only showed my whole cards. It was an all in pre flop and called.

Another bug in the past day or two I was waiting for 60sec as the clock ran down on the person before me. Then my hand folded when I thought it was my turn. I don't think I was tab surfing at the time.

This type stuff is never ending. Once again I sat at periodic and was out of patience before being dealt a hand.

People really need to invest a minute of their time into a google search on POKER ETIQUETTE

Beyond frustrating

Seriously dude, you give yourself up in too many ways. Poker players do not sit down with their entire bankrolls - EVER! Gamblers do!

Yawn! Won't show Poker stats. Won't play poker and demonstrate that the strategy works. Your 1 on 1 challenge is dumb. Most people don't like heads up play and smart poker player don't put up their entire bankroll at one time. Gamblers do though.

Poker, like most things in life takes lots of effort and practice to get good at. Some people play for years and still lose regularly. Using the term "Foolproof" in a Guide you labeled "Elite" in relation to poker now means that I have to call you a Complete Moron!

So can we expect to see you at the tables demonstrating the techniques outlines in this guide? Or is your poker time here at Torn strictly reserved for harassing actual poker players.

I don't know what to make of you RNG. You say you are good at poker, but if you had even 100 hours of online experience you would know that none can pick up a quick guide and magically win at poker in the long run.

"The Players don't matter". After saying this, anyone who knows anything about poker now knows you're full of it. Everything matters in poker! Did you even mention pot odds, or is math unimportant in poker also?

For all the Suckers out there thinking they can beat players with countless hours experience with RNG's "Get Rick Quick" scheme - Good Luck!

How about "If you don't spot the sucker at the table within a few minutes, you're him"?

Everyone please keep in mind that this guide was written by someone that never sits at Torn poker tables. I have invited him to sit down several times, but he only comes to the tables for the sole purpose of harassing a player.

Also keep in mind that some people play multiple tables at once all day everyday for years in order to see enough hands to get good at poker. Poker is extremely complex and you will run across some decent players even at the cheaper tables. The players really do matter.

Honestly I had not thought about all the ways someone might exploit it. Mostly I want one because of many times my eyes can't believe what I just saw. It causes some good laughs.

Every real money online card room I have played at had a hand history. This is probably why I think it is so basic.

Anyway, I appreciate your good nature. I fully expected to get punched in the mouth for being a mouthy prick.

If I were to start a daily log of my poker play and show the reason for my leaving the table, it would look much like today.

Joined Periodic. Lasted around 11 minutes before I couldn't take the slowness. Table had 5 or 6 of us and was completely empty 5 minutes after I left. So many people complain about the speed at this table.

Their solution is to move to Pound It. I did this today and lasted 31 minutes. But almost everyone was sucking out the timer, so I had to leave again.

My only option lately has been to play the smaller, usually much faster tables, or just not play. Check my logs. I'm not making this up. Seems like this might be costing Torn money.

Frankly I usually have more fun at the smaller tables anyway. Right up until a certain Mod complains about the aggressive style of some of our betting. This is NO LIMIT HOLDEM. Use that mod power to get a Limit or Pot limit table going.

Trust is the most basic and important thing in playing online poker. No hand history = No trust!

Hand history provides a huge learning opportunity. Some new players don't even know how they lost a hand sometimes. Hand history would help them a lot.

I'm trying to be nice, but this is so basic I can't help but wonder if the designer of this poker client has ever played a single hand of online poker.

I would argue that this may be the single largest update needed after a hand history upgrade. The table Periodic is very popular and also very quick to go from very active to dead because of the 60 second timer. I challenge you to sit at that table for 5 minutes without someone timing out. Usually some repeat offender.
