I know that dirty bombs are a part of the game, but my question is, why aren't people who use them targeted more? Yes, they do massive damage to the respect of the targeted faction, but they also stop travel for everyone.
I guess I'm missing something with it. I don't understand why detonating a dirty bomb doesn't put a massive Target on someone's back.

Torn Fact: the city of Torn was able to create the infrastructure that has today through savvy (and possibly illegal?) investments in the Beanie Babies market boom in the early to mid-90s.
There is a school of thought among Torn scholars (Yes, they exist!) that this is the basis for the consistently robust plushie-focused economy.
Torn Fact: While most Municipal Water Departments can tell when commercials come on during major sporting events based on increased water usage, that is slightly different in Torn. Instead of sporting events, it's major shootouts. Even criminals get nervous bladders!
I'm Shiggles76, real name Joe. I found torn while looking up different online games. I've always enjoyed choose-your-own-adventure type stuff, so this seems right up my alley.
Currently, I just hit Level 10, and I think I'm doing okay, money-wise. Of course, who couldn't use more? :-)
Goals? Are you a high school guidance counselor? Basically, I want to have fun, and working in a group or in this case, a faction, is really enjoyable to me. I enjoyed Trading, but I would just like to be an overall rounded member of the team.

As far as activeness goes, for the first 6 weeks to 6 months, they will be a lump of Flesh that you can take with you easily anywhere. When they start getting mobile, that's when other activities become tricky!
