I am a pretty inactive player, I barely play, so I guess I am an easy target. I'm making this post to warn other fellow Torn players to not spend months doing PA and hits for a faction that will scam your vault balance and all PA earnings. I even did 1000+ hits in the halloween chain, and got scammed just like that.
I had over 50m+ balance and 4 PA payments not paid (not paid for over 2 months.) Leadership kept saying that they would pay out soon, but when 2 months had passed I knew it was time to stop war'ing for them and wait for payment. Then I got kicked for asking for the payment, and my balance was also stolen (I asked for it 3 times to 3 different "officers).
I don't intend to create any drama, nor do I want any bounties placed on anyone, scamming is fair play. I simply want to warn other Torn players considering joining Wolf Pack to stay away.
Thank you for implementing a feature that shows my chat ban duration.
As I am approaching 3 years of my chat ban, this will for sure be an important part of my rehabiliation plan, the constant visual reminder will keep me in check and truly make me think about how to behave :3

LF faction, 3.4b total. I'm chat banned so I will attack any target except bonus hit in RW, I will not see chat. Either revive faction OR weekly RW, which means every single week.

Translation: I subconsciously try to establish that I have observed a decline of Torn players' behaviour over years, in an attempt to make my post more believable by using time as a psychological effect targeting neural pathways in readers brains that use length of time as an indicator for truth, which most of us do.

Translation: I start by expressing that I understand factions and RWs are important, but I am severely hurt by reading mean words sent to my inbox by a person online. Being cursed at in an online text game severly hurt me to the point I need to make a post about it to get revenge for the pain I felt, and the amount of pain I feel can in my eyes not be compared to some caches on a game.

Translation: I somehow take responsibility for being inactive, while choosing to not inform about being hosped 28 times and doing 2 hits during the entire war that lasted several days, and I lie and try to make people believe that I was carrying boxes to a van, and unloading them for 24 hours a day for several days, so I could not self hosp or click "hit". I also don't talk about when I was in the toilet and could have just self hosped or done a few attacks (because I don't care I'm just mad.)

Translation: I was kicked and received 20 words that hurt me so much it ruined my mood for days on end and made me write this post. I wish people stop cursing online so that I do not get my week ruined by reading the text. We all need to adapt because I have 100x more problems with it than anyone else online. I am demanding faction leaders to send sincere messages to ppl ruining their wars so that the other few % of ppl who gets so hurt won't get hurt.

Your life is only about Torn, that's why you are drawing oxygen, hence the sole purpose of your life. Which I say to try to hurt you because I believe you are equally fragile as me, and you will cry because I say you don't have a job, education, hobbies etc.
I tell you to try go even spend an hour outside of the Torn.com website, with the intent of making you truly feel how awful the life I decide you have is.
I declare that you do not love your family or allocate them any time, with the intent of hurting the deepest core of you, namely your bond to your mom, dad, siblings etc. That will do it!
I end with saying that it's unheard of any of you to even be able to touch grass, so I'm saying that even if I advise you to fix your life, start spending time with your family, get hobbies, careers etc, it will not help you because you are not even able to hear it, so I hurt you extra, by offering you "advise" then saying it won't work hahahaha

You're not in the same reality as me and the rest of the ppl in this thread, so I'm not spending more time on it. You're right in your mind. It's not stupidity, it's being a big baby who got emotionally hurt by not getting their mug money and now dieing on the hill. Woah! What a big man you are! You're not afraid to call ppl stupid, huh? You mugged A7MED and got $0. You later discovered that A7MED owed -$3,243,527,900, plus the sale amount he received. Upon realizing this, you got angry because you hold the opinion that the game mechanics should be fair for everyone, and you felt deceived. The game mechanics that you know so very well stopped applying, and you feel very bad about it. Then you called it a “bug” in the code, and it is unknown if you actually mean that it is a coding mistake that admins should fix, or if you are just mad at the admins. That is what “happened” from your POV, as I understand it. If you disagree, feel free to correct me.
Now, personally, I believe you know it is not a bug, but I do understand that you typed it considering your frustration, from your frustrated point of view. I also noticed that bogie called you a bitch, and most Torn members disagreed with you, which seemed to make you even more angry and frustrated, which, from your view, I totally understand. It is not fun to lose 50m from a mug you, from my guess, seem very emotionally invested in, and then be made a fool of in the forums.
However, it is a well-known fact that this can happen. It is part of the game mechanics, and staff and developers have confirmed that it is not a bug, as many players are also aware. It is a code feature with the purpose of collecting owed money. Most games have similar features, and deciding if it is “fair” or not is difficult. It made me think of an example in iOS gaming, which is a massive industry. There have been cases where people spend $3,000 on their Clash of Clans town, only to be raided by some dude chargebacking the whole payment to Apple the next day, losing the soldiers they paid over $1,000 for. Apple even refunds those payments 100% of the time. I do not think it is “fair” or “positive” in Torn either, but I do believe it is the only solution to a massive problem. I would rather get hit by that a few times in my Torn career than let casino scammers, bug abusers, chargebackers, or players who suffered collateral damage from other people’s malicious activities just get ways to not pay their debt.
Let’s explore a hypothetical solution, the only one I see. During the first 24 hours of being in negative balance, since their RW will update, there could be a button when trying to mug: “ARE YOU SURE? THIS PLAYER HAS A NEGATIVE BALANCE.” A simple if statement combined with the negative value could work. Pseudocode: if mug.incoming && user.balance < 0, then print: “WARNING! THIS PLAYER HAS A NEGATIVE BALANCE.” Now, what scandal could that lead to? It would be guaranteed to lead to chains being broken, with someone trying to save a chain and then getting hit with that message on one of the tens of thousands of accounts that currently have a negative balance. More importantly, staff have said that they are not interested in even discussing it, which, in my opinion, we just need to accept. It is their game, after all.
I understand that you are frustrated, and we do not have to attack each other. Sometimes things get heated. But I do love all of you guys, and we will be happy again. <3
