When is the best time to use the free merit distribution? I just Leveled to 16, left a faction and retired as an Army General so Defense and Strength are both high is it better to grind my speed and dexterity first, or supplement the weaker stats with merit boosting and grind? any regrets? 

The title pretty much lays out what I would like to achieve with this thread. 

Hello, I recently passed level 15 and the first thing I did was buy a stock ticker and hire out for "full statistics spying" for a few million. 

And I've turned about 3.5% in active day trading,  but can see that it will not scale. 

I've seen other advice threads that basically say, "first fill your bank account..."

How long should that take? I also don't know how much that is.

What's a good way to make the first millions? 

What is the reason to max bank investment first? Is that a precaution against profit loss from a bad run of trading days?

My Hubby Lost the mortgage money and even though we haven't discussed it (ours is a loveless marriage based on "be an Adult") I suspect it was a third party Casino. that said, the real reason I personally am against them is the aforementioned Shady Nature of their operation model.

like real world Casinos, they stack the odds in the houses favor. the second reason is they're increasingly easier to create and run since the advent of A.I. and the appeal to "I can so I will" mentality is not keeping in pace with the "Is this really getting me what I want and at who's expense." Our community (drink) deserves to be protected from ourselves. just like keeping bots out, we can and should attempt to keep real world criminality out of our playspace.
