Looking for 10* mining/oil rig with the highest daily salary
I have been in Torn a little more than a year. One of the first things I tried to do early was get the bank investment to $2B and 10 merits in bank interest. So far that $2B has earned me around $700M in 6 months. $2B and 10 merits. The opportunity cost is huge. Is the ROI worth it? Maybe not in some cases.
Stock Market:
For $1.5B you can buy 2M shares of FHG and get an FHC every week.($14.4M) * 26(weeks, same as 6 months) Total $374.4M
For $528M you can buy 1M shares of PRN and get an EDVD every week ($3.8M) * 26. Total $98.8 M
Grand total $473.2M The returns are cut by $227M but think about the advantages:
You have 54 merits to spend somewhere else.
Not only do you have the guaranteed return, you have potential capital gains as well.
The stock market is essentially liquid. You can access the cash any time. The bank ties them up for 2months.

Doing price research on trains. I am currently buying all trains from a 10* AN shop. I am interested in pricing for long-term trains. Here are my stats:

Gambling on Realm Wars
It is fun for participants to make side bets. It is never wise to gamble with insufficient information. JFK 2.1 seems to have haters and they were laying 2:1 odds on the faction that was outstatted. Not wise.
Using Mercs
To me, mercs are an integral part of this game. Using family members to hosp our offliners seems only logical. We paid our revivers the going rate for their service. This seems much ado about nothing.

We play a game where noobies are mercilessly mugged hourly. People buy from people then steal some money back. People steal entire faction vaults and set off dirty bombs on Halloweek. Why would anyone whine about tactics and strategy in such a game? Who makes moral equivilency arguments in an essentiall amoral game? It is a game to be enjoyed, so enjoy!
