I feel like In torn we are always so focused on wars with how we need to stop wars being termed etc which is great but I feel like we could shift our focus to making real wars better.
At our faction Tranquillity Base we don’t term wars as we don’t see why we should when it’s the entire point of getting stats in our opinion and I know there’s a lot of other factions who have the same mindset.
When a war gets announced you get given a start time you can put midweek war or weekend war, it gives you a specific time based on whatever the requirements met are… who cares. But why don’t we change this if we get a time we don’t like why can’t there be a screen between both owners and co owners to discuss a start time.
For example both factions might be able to start on Thursday 18:00 great the war can start 2 days earlier, but let’s say they disagree I think both factions should have to put in there ideal start time and discuss if they can’t agree on a time it works out on the in between time both factions have suggested.
You might think it’s stupid but this adds a layer of strategy to the war if I know the faction against me wants to start as early as possible I could suggest a later time to give us a small advantage or if we really wanted a different time I don’t know like against a cache farm if I suggest the latest start possible it gives factions who don’t want to term a better chance into getting into stopping the cache farm from enlisting in the following week. Which is only a good thing.
Now it also works if two cache farms met each other let them Agree the earliest time and do whatever if we arnt combating it any other way at least give the factions who want to war a chance of making it more interesting.
i feel like this would only benefit torn and add a new layer to think about and if a faction leader didn’t want to change the time they don’t have to by not suggesting a time and it will just go based off the average between the new suggested time and the start time.
Everyday people on torn get to spend 25 points Refilling energy, Nerve and Casino Tokens, This got me thinking what if we had a place in the city where we could buy weapon skins and rare clothing items?
I personally feel like the cosmetic side of torn is neglected and there's a huge untapped system their, this gap could be used for my idea or another's but we could have a random chance crate each day we could use to open with points. The system would be RNG based and it would be similar percentage wise like the wheels your better prices being harder to obtain.
TIER 1: 70% Chance (Common Item)
TIER 2: 15% Chance (Uncommon Item)
TIER 3: 10% Chance (Rare Item)
TIER 4: 4.5% Chance (Exotic Item)
TIER 5: 0.5% (Legendary Item)
(Not those exact names and numbers but just so you get the idea)
This system could be the Token shop 2.0, crates could be opened each day with Token points and you could refill token points just like Energy, Nerve and Casino Tokens. Players could earn Token points through energy & nerve spent this would incentivise players to keep on top of their stats and give them some other form of reward to work towards. You could also give out Token points for achieving merits, trading into museums, jobs, and hitting milestones that being stats or net worth.
Some things I think would be great in the crates:
Torn Backgrounds
Clothing items
Weapon Skins
Temp Skins
Fighting screen templates
Display Image Border
I also thought if this idea was to come about another way to motivate players into going for these crates would be have collections, for example 5 items from one collection or 12 items from one collection whenever you complete a collection you could gain exp towards levelling up, merits or special items.
All of the above could come out as their own collections or individually, you could even release more items for times of year like festive items the possibilities are endless and it makes the Token Shop have a purpose.
I do want to note I would like everything to be tradeable on the market so you could sell rare items for money if you don't want them and i also would only want it to be strictly cosmetic which I think most will agree.

I personally like this idea a lot, the cool-down would have to be long enough to make an effect though I also don’t hate the idea of just deducting respect, factions don’t mind losing a ranked war and getting the spilt from the caches because they still gain money and respect why not take respect away from them? If we simply can’t combat people splitting rewards we can combat how much respect they gain. If you lose a ranked war you should lose the respect the faction that beats you gains. It’s harsh but if people start losing steadfast perks people won’t be able to just give up in a war forcing people to actually play the game.
Could be an interesting idea to host a podcast with 3 players all different ages asking them your typical questions in order of smallest to largest. Example being under 1 month, under a year, under 5 years. You would get a perspective of torn growth different goals and directions and different answers due to experience.
Could be really interesting for a new player especially to be able to listen to that growth, could even serve as good motivation for them to keep on going :)
Feel like owning company’s are strictly for owners to get profit if they can’t be bothered ordering stock should they get the benefits that come with it?
Also like everything in torn activity Is rewarded getting a 10 star would be easier if you could just get someone else to do it when you can’t be bothered.
Genuinely can’t understand how bigger players think they’re “better” than smaller factions.
Ultimately when they get beat it’s always “we couldn’t be bothered” “we let you win” when the fact is just because you have stats it doesn’t automatically mean you’re good at warring. You’ve just been training in the gym longer.
These things arnt the same being good at warring is reacting to a situation and forcing players to make moves they don’t want to do, not crying about smaller players using the literal only mechanic they have to win in the game…
