Weapon UpgradingOkay, so this is going to be kind of long but I assure you it is because it has been thoroughly thought out.
All weapons have the same 'Stats' meaning they all have their own accuracy, damage, stealth and with melee weapons we exclude ammo type, mag size, and rounds per minute. (obviously) And we can get certain attachments to 'upgrade' these weapons except with melee, all fun and good there. But ALL weapons have a 'Quality' what if we could do something to increase the quality of the weapons?

Weapon Upgrade Materials- Welding Gun - Used to attach a crafted *Component* to a weapon.

- Lubricant - To lubricate parts of a weapon. (+Accuracy; +Quality; +Damage; Maintain Quality) (Melee weapons excluded)

Special Materials-Special Materials are materials that give bigger boosts to quality, damage, accuracy, and durability (maintain quality). These items cannot be found in the city like the ‘original’ materials. Instead you must combine original materials in or to obtain them.
- Stainless Steel; Acquired by combining steel, weapon polish, and a polishing clothing. Using this material to craft a replacement copy of a weapon part you get, +Accuracy, +Quality, +Durability, +Damage. Also, with this material you can use a Blade Sharpener to add these effects to a bladed weapon.
- Barrel Polisher; Acquired by combining a Polishing Cloth, A Barrel Brush, And Weapon Polish. Using this material/ item you gain +Accuracy, +Quality, +Durability, +Damage to the gun you are using it on.
- Carbonized Steel; Acquired by combining Steel, and Carbon Fiber using a Welding Gun. Using this material to craft a weapon part will add ++Accuracy, ++Quality, ++Durability, and ++Damage
- Rubberized Steel; Acquired by combining Stainless Steel and Rubber. Using this material, you can craft a sturdy, comfy lightweight gripped handle for Melee weapons. (+Accuracy, +Durability, + Quality)
“Back Of Shop”Accessed through Big Al’s Gun Shop, the Back Of Shop section is; A. Another store where you can buy and sell materials, and B. A place where you can go to use Al’s *Weapons Bench* An item/station to utilize the materials to upgrade your weapons.
A Weapons Bench is a standard work bench accompanied by a high-heat oven used to craft materials into the specified weapon component.
Components: Components mean the parts of each weapon that are replaceable buy mean of a craft. Stock, Body, Barrel. Exclusions apply since not all weapons have “separable component” and some weapons can be kept in the due to the capability of “separable component” List Will Follow IF Need Be.
Notes: The only possible chance of upgrading a weapon to its max damage, accuracy, durability, and quality would have to be with an un-used weapon. Simply put a shop bought weapon. If max quality is 100% one time use of that weapon immediately brings the quality down by at least 0.01% regardless of whether the durability of the weapon is 100%. Using it means you’ve put wear and tear on it plain and simple. And no, you cannot bring the quality back to 100% after its been used, even once. So, reiteration here, the only way to keep at weapon at 100% in all four of the specified stats above, is to not use it. Two Words…. Display Case. I’m sure rarity can come into play as well.

Possible additions to either Materials or Special Materials?
Welding Gun as a requirement to attack upgrades to a weapon?
Weapon Upgrade Bench to be a crafted item? After gathering enough of all materials? Use like laptop maybe?
‘Back Of Shop’ is meant to be similar to ‘Museum’ but with Big Al, why wouldn’t a gun shop owner have a bench to tinker/clean/upgrade weaponry on?
Please give me all feedback, tips, concerns, ideas, etc. etc

- My given numbers on decreasing quality based off using the weapon are not definite, just an example
- Decreased quality from use does not have to be implemented
- Making the upgraded weapons un-tradeable would cause the proposed award/honor 'Up-Grade Collector' to be render half useless
- Since quality is formulated on the bases of damage and accuracy maybe the upgrades could be to simply up the damage and accuracy and allow the 'formula' to increase the quality on its own...?
- As mods go, reflex sights, hair-pin trigger and the other things we see from mission rewards, those are *modifications* what I'm introducing here are *up-grades*
