Hello all, I've been playing Torn for a while and have decided to start trading! I'm around between 11:00 TCT and 03:00 TCT
I am buying all plushies, flowers, boosters (no stat enhancers currently, too poor for that), supply packs, and more! Up to 98% of market value on plushies and flowers, send your trades in for the safe selling of your items.

I'm wondering about a way to make missions more enjoyable and worthwhile to do, and make them part of the new and exciting world of OCs 2.0.
The idea is that we have mission spawns that are specific to the OC you are in and what role it is, so if the role is Thief, maybe you need to burglerize certain areas in crimes 2.0. If you do these missions while the OC is planning, then you could have either an increased payout, a higher crime success rate, or a little of both.
This would also encourage people to be more active in the organized crimes like the devs want, and give incentives to use the mission system.
This could also give a benefit to factions who don't specifically stage OCs since more people would have time to do more missions and increase the success chance/money gained.

Congratulations for the achievement! What do you think you'll end up doing now? I'd be interested to hear what rank you are on the HOF for battlestats as well.

I like the idea, but you could also term a war with this system. To have an acceptable payout for both sides you could have one faction getting right up to the limit, and get the other faction up there before one of them breaks into the win condition. It's the problem with percentages and effort. One faction can always just take the loss to keep their place on the leaderboards and not go against the more bloodthirsty factions who fight for fun.
An issue I have with shorter war times is that not every faction has a 24hr online population with factionmembers rotating around the clock. The current multi day wars are good for allowing the war to break into times where a faction has a better amount of people to fight with if they turtle long enough.
Once the wars start getting into mercenaries and revive contracts, it gets super expensive fast, which makes less profit that if you had just termed the war to begin with.
My Input
I don't think the current war system is that bad honestly, but since players are so efficiency and money oriented, I would suggest this:
I would like to see a respect system that allows you to trade faction respect for caches/money/points, making respect more valuable to fight over since you obviously need respect for faction upgrades too. Maybe if only the winner of the war gets a respect bonus that would be helpful to make a faction more competitive to receive those extra points.
I would love to finally get a reason to race besides for being a driver in an OC. If you could make more money by being active in races than flying, I think points would come back up naturally do to more people just racing instead of flying.
That and revamping flying to give you more reward for being online during the flight time, or more stuff to do overseas. Just general changes to promote more activity than ranked wars which start at the worst possible times for me.
There are a lot of ways to make money early on if you're willing to put Battlestat growth to the side for a little bit until you have your footing in the passive income, bank investment, sym, etc. It's always been a tradeoff of missing out on NW growth to train your battlestats to be useful in RW for something besides assists, which are still a good way to make money while your battlestats are low
Great trader, pretty much the only one I use. Great prices and fast response times. Has given me loads of advice when I ask for it as well, great dude.
I've been active for a few years now, just got out of a warring faction due to wars not lining up well with my IRL schedule, I'm looking for an active faction that focuses on OC with payouts, nnb 65, was doing lvl 7 OCs mostly.
Merry Christmas everyone! Especially Duke who let me borrow a bunch of money so I could continue buying xanax in dry spells. (Duke if you ever need a couple xans let me know)
