This is my journey towards SAGE.

My Torn journey started 81 days ago and not knowing anything at all I set off into the the unknown.

It started when my friend whom introduced me to Torn told me to chug a bunch of Beer for more Nerve, this was great and all, but I quickly realized I had become an alcoholic.

Now, this is NOT me, and I refused to be known as one.
And so I quickly turned to my friend and asked how I could change this. He explained.

Took 8 days, but I became a Hoarder. It didnt feel as impactful as I wanted and so the only title I felt I could go for was Boxer.

There it was.. SAGE, time played/logins. This was the one for me. I chatted with bogie about how clicking was the only way to gain play time. Now heavily invested, I took my play time up a notch.

This was an unfortunate turn of events, as I had stopped all unarmed finishing hits and focused solely on sending my Trader plushies. Without realizing it, I got Samaritan title. I immediately stopped sending items.
  • 07:10:32 - 15/09/22 You had your title changed to Accomplice
Now this one is interesting because this was during Elimination, (RAIN MEN FTW), and so my assists got heavily upped. This did not sit well with me, I only want SAGE.
  • 07:09:52 - 26/09/22 You had your title changed to Samaritan
This was silly, I think. I sent a faction member a few candies and it pushed me to Samaritan again... My hopes were fading..
  • 07:10:26 - 05/10/22 You had your title changed to Accomplice
Oh nooo. I was going to mug someone, and I was losing badly... So I requested the aid of a factionmember, and poof, I was an Accomplice again.
Now, more determined than ever to get Sage, I stopped absolutely everything but gymtrains.
  • 07:09:43 - 14/10/22 You had your title changed to Sage
And here we are!!
It finally happened, after 22d 3h 18m 22s in-game clicking. I love Torn. This game is great.

I have not seen any other young Sages out there. 1ST?

That's the issue most of us are trying to avoid, the EXTRA legwork of finding Xanax, and/or the added ~20% costs to ANY item listed in the market place. 

 

My trader friends are not happy about the change either. You need to play torn for hours on hours to make ends meet now. 

And I'm not doing it. 

 

If I find a Can in the city, I want to sell it, not get taxxed.

Bought a Candle Shop from my referrer, and so I needed someone to direct it, I reached out to someone I thought I could trust, he also had the edus and stuff, all he needed was a company, and so we agreed he would sell trains, and in turn we'd split some of the money. 

 

I invested in all the nessecary stocks for him. 

 

A few weeks went by and money was coming in nicely. 

 

He then excused himself, and that was okay, he stopped replying after awhile, many questions later and still nothing, I just gave up after that. 

 

 

 

 

Only lost about 1b + proceeds from trains for life. 

I'll know for next time :)

There's a lot of talk about how other people should run their factions. Run your own faction and do what you feel is best. I'll stay here, being docked pay. :)
