This raid is the best thing to happen to me. I can still do my day to day torn activities and train. Now since my playtime has been cut in half, I have so much free time on my hands. I've had more time to myself to dedicate to my hobbies without living in an RPG all day. Everybody should de-stress and wind down like this once in a while. #d3vlchallenge
I noticed a lack of lifting discussion posts in this section, so I'm calling upon all gym rats of Torn. A thread to discuss workout, diet, goals or any questions for the community at all involving gains.
I'll start. I'm 5'11", 178 lbs at around 12-14% bodyfat. I've recently started an aggressive bulk, shooting to hit about 3500+ calories/ day (~180-190p ~70f and 400+ carbs to make up the gap in calories) and work on really getting my numbers up over the winter. I started as a scrawny kid around 7 years ago and have never dived into a big bulk, so this will be a first at that high of macros. I also have been avoiding deadlifting and been rackpulling instead because, since my ego always steps in, I wanted to avoid injury but will be starting that again slowly. I see a lot of people who want to lose weight, but I'd like to be fat this winter and see how much stronger I'd be- although not looking forward to how much I'll have to overeat.
I look forward to seeing what fellow Torn citizens are up to in their fitness journeys.

I had a lot of fun during the raid and following war, probably some of the best times in Torn I had strategically. As it turns out, he actually is a pretty cool guy and surprisingly a very good leader.
I'd say it's neither of those things, just simply me choosing to be on the winning side. I still stand by my statement you replied to, that was the best thing to happen to me in Torn.

Second the Turkish barber, as he controls what my beard looks like year round.
If you insist on doing it yourself:
Learn to do somewhat of a fade with adjustable clippers, generally keeping sides shorter so it doesnt poof out and looks neater. Most length comes from jaw and chin as cheeks / sideburns having length just gives it an unkempt, thin look.
Combing out the beard and straight up shaving it into the shape you want actually works very well, preferably dry or barely damp.
Always trim mustache along lip line unless you're going for a 'lived outdoors for a year' look, or enjoy tasting your food hours after you've had your meal.
Line up neck and face with a straight razor, hit it with a shaving stone and oil and comb the beard. I tend to follow natural lines where my cheek whiskers starts to thin and I go along jaw/neck for underneath, right where the skin folds when you look straight down. Any machine can do this but the straight razor gives a crisp line with a natural, smooth shave above & below the beard.

Solaris after staring at the screen for the past 48 hour without blinking is starting to get lonely and needs someone to talk to I think
Have you ever thought maybe you're just not his type? Desperation scares em away

My go-to is running. I recently discovered the Strava app, where I can map and pace my runs to check on where I need to improve, and it works with any bluetooth heart rate monitor. Finding a steady heartrate that works for you and sticking to that for the entire length of run is a great way to measure progress in terms of pacing and how much your gas tank improves.
As for not overdoing it, start small- A mile first day, take a day off to help your muscles and joints rest up as you're introducing a new type of stress on them. Then keep a mile a day till it gets easy, and you can do two. If you feel great, and feel like you can jump straight to mile 10 on day 3, don't. Work up to it over time just like you would in any workout intensity because it will always lead to injury. (I only add this last part because I've done exactly that and hurt my foot ?)

Simply lifting weights supplemented by cardio and a mostly clean diet is enough. Lot of factors that can be tweaked for each individual's unique needs and like others have said- bodybuilding forums if you'd like to learn how or personal trainers to just be told what to do. Torn is a tough platform to seek advice that is tailored towards you and your goals lol
Planking doesn't necessarily remove belly fat. Spot reduction, or losing fat in specific areas, is a myth. You'll have to lower your overall bodyfat. I can't tell you exactly what to eat, but I would try (while keeping diet consistent weekly to gauge how it affects you) to slowly lower your carb intake and maybe add some more cardio. It just falls down to a calories in, calories out game. How much your body burns simply existing, plus how much your day to day activities/workouts burn has to be higher than your consumed calories to put you at a total deficit and you will lose fat. Try not to cut protein intake while lowering calories or you will risk losing muscle mass when I would imagine your goal is to keep it or grow it while losing the fat.
It's a great game with a lot of stuff to do. It's extremely well polished, no glitches that I've run across and everything looks incredible (series x). The world is extremely well made, and I understand you may not be able to interact with everyone or pick up every single blade of grass but there's so much world design and it's done so meticulously and well thought out to fit in the world by a studio that is releasing their first big title that I totally understand. It seems like a perfect game to me if you take it for what it is, a game in the Harry Potter universe with it's own unique story that sticks to the lore with a great combat system. I'd give it a 10/10. It's hard to compare to other games because games that do have features that HL is missing, generally are missing bits that HL brings to the table.
Hopefully someone makes a game with literally every feature possible to appease the extremely critical gamers out there, but chances are it'll never happen.

Such a great matchup as I'm torn between who could possibly win. On one hand, Volk can piece him up with his nearly perfect standup game- but on the other hand, Islam applies soo much pressure on the ground and really has a wild understanding of bjj. Islam is who I'm betting on, should be a great fight regardless of the outcome.
I stumbled on House Flipper recently and man, it sure is a relaxing game that gets the creativity flowing.
Although I started for and continue for aesthetics, strength and conditioning now to help me in my physical career and on the mat.
Depends on where you're at now. If you already have muscle mass and its a matter of losing fat to reveal the shred, it's a simple diet and cardio game.
If you're starting from scratch, its a matter of creating a solid foundation and taking advantage of the beginner gains you can make and in my opinion, not worrying about being shredded for a year or two while gaining as much size as possible.
Maintaining a shredded body naturally can be difficult. Your lifestyle will dictate how you look, and staying lean comes at the cost of size, and vice versa- size comes at the cost of not being lean.
If you're a beginner, pipehitter hit the nail on the head-.. bodybuilding forums have an endless amount of beginner guides.

Those are some really impressive numbers for 185, I think its a very achievable goal you have for the winter.
To expand on the different goals- I think its important to train for your body, and your goals. I do see many people who follow plans that don't necessarily align with their goals, or can't stick to them because the progress they make is different from the ideal progress they had in their mind.
Good luck with those gains, both physically and mentally!

Form is everything, I have a special place in my heart for Stronglifts 5x5 as thats what I did for my first year and a half of lifting. I went from barely being able to bench an empty bar to around 225 bench for a single struggle rep, it helped me build a good foundation to expand on.
