You certainly asked the right person, because I was in the first large war that broke out in TC. The first big war was between the factions Secret Service (SS) and Secret Underground Nation (SUN). This was in the spring of 2005 and happened on the very same day as factions were released. There were several allies pulled in, so I´d say about seven factions altogether. All in all, the war itself lasted for about a two-week period before SS surrendered.
As for why it broke out - Well, lesson learned, youngsters: Never let a bunch of 17-year-olds be leaders. There was hatred between Secret Service and SUN and one player, Captain2 also one of the leaders (Or The Red Rebel, as he called himself) kept being sassy in a way that wasn´t appreciated with SUN. What Captain2 had been saying was something in the lines of "You better not mess with me, or all of Secret Service will get on your tail!"
When the war broke out, there was confusion within Secret Service. We didn´t know what we were fighting for and we didn´t know why SUN was so out of control. I said it back then and I´ll say it today - The war was completely pointless and should never have happened.
Edit: I forgot to write about the consequences of the war. Since SS was forced to surrender, strong doubts were raised among the members whether or not Captain2 was worthy of a spot in the leadership. I cannot remember for certain if he was given a second chance or if he was demoted to an officer. But I know he was moved from the main faction to one of smaller sub-factions which I was co-leader for called Secret Service Vanguard (SS-V)(Today known as Destructive Anomaly.) And well, I certainly didn´t have any respect for the new faction leader. But that´s a story for another time.

I could tell you young lings all sorts of stories - The constant conflict about TC community vs Sniper from 4BK, the cruel moment in 2006 when the rehab burned down and TC got a blackout. I also remember about the first day when factions was released and I was dragged into a huge scale war were I had no idea what I was fighting for.

So you want to learn about the early years? There were no guides, no factions, only two jobs, two gyms. No drugs, and attacking was still in beta.

I still remember it like it happened a week ago. I´d say a prime of TC came around 05-07. Much because many new functions were added back then.

I remember when we used to gather on msn messenger to coordinate our chains. We didn´t have our IRC page until a year later.
I´m not worried about the price of blank DVDs. I´m more concerned about my NB being too short.
Just ignore them. This game is filled with salty people. And since you´re a low level, it doesn´t really help improve the situation.

I chose neither of the very simple reason that the ones I wanted were sold out. I would´ve claimed Clansy and Wynn because I knew them both in game.
I´m sad to say that no keepsakes caught my interest. But I´d choose either Wynn or Clansy since I knew them both in game.
