There is a merit for collecting 50 tags (also 250 I know). But what does "collecting" mean? If I get a tag from someone else and then immediately lose it, does that count as 1 tag found or 0 tags found?
Do I need to hold all of the 50 tags at the same time to get the merit?
Do you think it might just maybe be an act of WISHFUL THINKING by those not so keen on this guy being POTUS again to extrapolate overall cognitive decline from freezing for half a minute?
Perhaps a repeat of what has been rumored to be true about Reagan is the most likely half-way decent outcome of this upcoming election (at least for many folk)?
It could be that the trait would require a quest in order to obtain it.
So, first max out the merit bar, then get quest, and then if you complete the quest you get some new ability which also has some downsides (because specialization ought to come at the price of foregoing something else).
Maybe this isn't a speculation, though -- maybe it is me just trying to think a bit about something that might maybe make sense. :P
In my opinion, stocks can't be beat for ready access to money needed now; while by banking the money not needed any time soon one makes the most (easy) money with it.
This model is pretty good until you fill up your bank, I think.
Thank you for introducing me to the word "kejawen". I have now read what wikipedia has to say about it. (which I don't take to be authoritative -- just an easy beginning).
I have no advice on your main question -- which I take to be how to deal with other people's often conflicting expectations of you. Personally, my routine state is to be completely baffled by whatever they are thinking.
But I have maybe grasped one tiny corner of the religious thing -- that people often choose to be religious in a particular way because from it they get to claim to be better than someone else. Personally, I am in a phase of (often) being able to allow them to do that to me with an inner shrug of indifference. Historically, such an approach has not always worked out for people as when that turns into violence where those who are looked down on get to be deemed okay to be killed. But in a place of relative safety it seems to help with keeping oneself from feeling hurt by what they are thinking about you -- and that looks like a worthwhile thing to seek to cultivate in me.
But what you and I believe is typically the result of some propaganda campaign to convince us of such-and-such. Those folks who think those campaigns are important enough to organize are ACTING like what you think has some degree of importance to them.
On your other point nihilism maybe makes sense but it is bad for the heart (in my experience). And has I have aged I have gained greater respect for those pope in the end of the middle ages who wanted to say that they were the center of the universe. Maybe something moderately in that direction (not extreme-- like those who said they were the whole enchilada) is actually the better philosophy to approach things with.
It is not just a naked person on a beach (that we see in the media) -- it is a supermodel naked on the beach. For the rest of us nudity is far from a pretty picture -- lol.
Imagine lots of saggy and wrinkled bodies with all kinds of faults in plain view and then tell me you want to see everyone naked. :P (The real world isn't nearly as pretty as places like Hollywood make it look like.
https://insidestory.org.au/better-to-lose-australia/ This link has a news article which says Sean McMeekin's work as a historian is a highly questionable and misleading rendering of what standard sources actually contain in them.
Do you have any information which would counter this discrediting of his professional standards?
If I am hearing this correctly, then the sin is to look down on other people.
However the whole purpose of capitalism is to rank individuals in social standing by the money they have at hand. And so shopping and going to a restaurant are carrots of playing the game (sufficiently well). And to not have that option is the stick for those who fail to do so.
I find myself led to wonder whether if this belief system which is well prevalent through out the world today (much more so than anything that gets to be called officially a religion) is inherently sinful / and one we should be willingly engaging in? What would it look like to not cooperate with it?
It is a long running tradition that banning a book makes it more popular and a must read for many people. Let's hope this is a tradition that continues!
Poe's law is an adage of internet culture which says that, without a clear indicator of the author's intent, any parodic or sarcastic expression of extreme views can be mistaken by some readers for a sincere expression of those views.
Given your definition of "conservative", I can see how much of the agenda pushed on you would seem "Marxist" to you. Some other people of a different political perspective use the word "progressive" for the policies they support and "conservative" for the ones that are pushed on them.
No need to pay back the loan to maintain your credit rating. Just keep up with the interest payments. It is working well for me so far with just a tiny ongoing loan. (That keeps the money spent on the interest really tiny also.)
Actually, I think this is a weak half-assed manuveur by the Democrats to disadvantage the Trump bid for re-election. It looks more like shadow boxing than the real thing to me. Take away the states from Trump who will vote for Biden anyway and what has he lost? What will happen a few years from now when removing people for ballots because you don't like them is what both parties are doing to each other and to the smaller parties out there too? (Sounds to me like a move to consolidate power and keep another Nader or Jesse Jackson or Ross Perot from happening.-- I think that that is its long term intended effect actually )
If you look at the world through their eyes, they are. (Sorry, I won't be trying to do that for you -- it's the kind of thing one has to do for oneself.) If you look at the world and cry because they aren't doing that for the particular point of view you are supporting at the moment, then they are not.
I guess how one looks at the world has a certain degree of importance.
One could say exactly the same thing about that "freedom of speech" mumbo jumbo and a number of other things as well.
Thank you for posting this article which comes from a point of view not otherwise easy to come by for me.
Thinking about the main point of what is written here -- which to me is that some Christian fundamentalists are being duped by the CIA into supporting Zionist interests -- I think that the key thing is that the CIA is interested in duping not only them but also you and me into colluding with whatever political agendas it is acting in the service of. And if many people are being duped it is not because those people are idiots, it is because those doing the duping are masters of their game and have the means to do the same to each of us (at least some of the time).

It is interesting to me how somethings about how humans are in the world haven't changed in 4000 years.
