I understand that Torn does not have the staff to run down and investigate every little accusation of scamming, but actions like this, by one person, effect the gameplay for 100 or so people. It's on a much bigger scale than your average scam in terms of both money lost and people affected. Allowing such high profile thefts to go unpunished is bad for the game. As the OP put it, it goes mainstream. More and more people will see this as an option when they get bored with the game. Who cares, nothing will happen. Torn might as well allow account stealing.
Where can I find some information on CE gains in the new system? I'm still doing arsons in 1.0 because I was still trying to make PA lead when 2.0 was released and I don't want to halt progress.
There were no factions coded into the game. Everybody put letters in front of their name to indicate who they rolled with, such as AC-El_Guapo. You still see a lot of people doing this like PT.
There were no drugs, or energy drinks in the beginning, Only way to get more E was to refill with points.
The server went down every night for maintenance. If memory serves, it started out at like 1 min and crawled up to 10 mins over time.
Mansion was the best property.
The city bank used to be way better. If I remember correctly there was no cap for a while. and then the cap was set at 2 bil but you could get like 50% i think or 100%? over 3 months.
There were no companies.
Marriage required a male and a female. Many sex change operations were performed so bros could help each other out.
I remember donator packs selling for 150k Edit- There was no actual donator pack item, you would just go to the donator house and buy donator status on behalf of their user ID.
