The following is a working list of Buy Muggers, Trade Cancle muggers and scammers, the lowest form of person on torn that tries to lure you into false sense of safety and then cancles the trades to mug you for 10% of what it was supposed to be worth. Any idea who has a mugger to add to the list please contact me and I will add your mugger to the list for future reference.
Definitions: There are three categories of listing here that are completely separate from each other and of different severities. Seems that people don't understand this so here are the definitions and severities.
Buy Muggers -Any player that engages in buying from people's bazarres and muggs the seller directly after sales are finalized. The severity of this is minor and is a part of the game for a reason. Most people on this list are there voluntarily because there proud of there muggings because this is a very common practice.
Trade Cancel Muggers- These players are defined as anybody who trades with players with the intention of ending the trade to allow them to mug the player for there money without ever selling the intended items. This is less regarded by a good amount of players as it feels more like a trick than a real mugging. However, this so still acceptable withing the games rules and perfectly legal.
Scammers- These are anybody who falls under the criteria of rule breaking players. Anybody who tries to trick people out of there account info, abuse/ exploit any sort of bug, etc. These are rule breakers and any reports of this should first be reported to game devs before alerting public forums.
IMPORTANT: ANYBODY CAUGHT FALSIFYING NOTIFICATIONS OR SLANDERING PLAYERS WILL BE ADDED TO THE LIST THEMSELVES AS A SCAMMER. ALL PLAYERS SHOULD BE CONSIDERED INOCENT UNTIL THE DEVS HAVE REMOVED THERE ACCOUNTS FOR BEING A SCAMMER. I AM NOT A DEV AND DO NOT HAVE ACCESS TO OFFICIAL LOGS, AS SUCH THIS IS IN NO WAY TO BE USED AS FACTUAL BUT INSTEAD AS A WARNING TO BE CAUTIOUS!!!!
If anybody has a buy mugger, trade cancel mugger, or have reported a scammer and would like to warn players please do so on here. All accusations must be public, all anonymous accusations must be investigated before they will be posted. Those wishing to remain anonymous can, however, it will take longer to get the person added to the list because there will be investigations done as well as contact with the accused player being made for there comments and chance to defend against the accusations. For anonymous listing please inbox me a message with the accusation type, name and ID number of the accused player as well as any proof available. Please allow 2-3 days for the name to be reviewed and added to the list. Again, I am not a game dev, I do not have access nor power to take action against anybody. This is a list of players for cautionary usage as well as a sort of non official mugged hall of fame so to speak.
EDIT: Since starting this list I've had alot of feedback both good and bad, this list is for everyone in the community. Weather you wanna make sure the person your looking to do business with is safe or not or if your looking for scammers and dummies to attack. Everyone has had there opinion and this list has continued to grow. As a community we can call out these crooked players and help others to avoid tricks like zvglass and his trade cancle mugs. Everyone is welcome to there opinion and to report misdeeds to me or the forum. Everyone is appreciated here, positive or negative, and I'm glad everyone has taken the time to do there part to contribute. Let's get these guys out in the open so we can help people avoid losing there company's, or there hard earned money, or even there items due to lying. You are all amazing 🤩 🤩
UPDATE: I have recieved multiple reports that zvglass may be using multiple accounts. Once I look into it I will post the accused account name to give the player a chance to defend his or her self if the accusations are false. There are multiple reports of this guy also trying to go over and Cancle mug people he has already hit, this means he's running out of targets and having to try to get users he has already hit. Be aware of scams and practice safe trading protocols to insure your hard earned items and money aren't wasted. More info to come
So I was doing my missions an I was given the mission where duke requires you to go to jail, take a drug to get sent to the hospital, then another drug to get out of the hospital. After 10-15 times of getting thrown in jail and being busted out right after it hit me. There should be a way to opt out of jail breaks so you can do your mission. You are able to turn off revives for war, so it only makes sense that we can decide not to be broke out of jail. This saving someone alot of time and energy to do there mission.
IMPORTANT: there is now a thread posted under suggestions for this. I just made it a little bit ago after reviewing everyone's thoughts on the topic. Yea 10x the best stat is pretty standard pay, alot of company's don't offer pay like that thought as not all companies run the same way. Company's like oil rigs, and security firms are income based companies and will offer great daily pay, company's like adult novelty shops and sweet shops don't make as much daily money as they provide the player with perks that assist the players stats or gives them different things like happy and nerve. Companies that offer perks that are ment to either boost stats or provide a resource will not pay very much as a result. If you what that 10x payout is suggest doing your research and picking a company that makes a better daily income instead of one with helpful perks
Yea I'm not honestly worried bout a buy mugger I mean 12 mil ain't a big loss to me. However, it got me thinking about the little guys that can't afford that like it's nothing and I wanted to help them out. I was a new guy once and I know how it is, jackasses like the ones putting bounties on me for making this thread go out and post in threads and chats looking for people to scam that don't know any better because they want the easy money..... Pretty low and grimey if ya ask me, go out and war, mug people the right way, don't be a grimey scammer that's just lame af.

Faction Requirements: Members must be active and growing battle stats. War participation is a must when we get to the point that we start to war. Any time inactive must be known by leadership, members going inactive more than 3 days without leaderships knowledge as to why will be kicked.
I am looking for players with amusement parks capable of giving free rides for happy jumps. I am the co leader of a faction and require a certain ammount of sellers who are able to provide the free rides for members to recieve for happy jumps to help boost battle stats during gym times.
Anybody with the required abilities who wish to make some extra cash are encouraged to reach out to me to discuss pricing and jump times so we can strike some sort of arrangement to accomplish this. I am able to provide cash in two sums to assure both of our safety during the transaction. half the cash provided before the jump and the last half after.
Owners who continue business with the faction after our first few transactions can reach a trust to be able to recieve the full payment before performing the free ride for a member.
This will be a simple deal, once an agreement has been reached you will be asked to inform me when enough JP has been earned to provide enough rides to reach 9k happy. once contacted with the required JP reached, I will inform the member next in line for the jump who he/she needs to contact with the time of there jump.
Free rides are to be scheduled by both the provider and the receiver to provide a convenient and achievable time for both party's. Upon agreement either myself or the jumper will provide half the payment up front 5-10 minutes before the time agreed upon. Final payment will be received within 15 minutes of the free rides as happiness resets every 15 minutes as I'm sure your aware of. this being the case the jumper only has 15 minutes to perform the jump so final payment can be received as quickly as 10 minutes after the happiness has been received.
I ask that you are patient and kind to my faction members and give respect when performing transactions with them. there should be no funny business or deviation from the agreed method of business. no trades will be performed, no asking of player information or attempts to scam as this will result in the discontinued business in the future and the immediate forfeiture of the current deal immediately. the jumper will be informed of the same guidelines and will not possess any of the funds for the jump on person to avoid mugging and will be asked to inform myself of any suspicious activity, requests, or chats.
Hope to reach a successful agreement with anyone interested as soon as possible. I Have multiple members ready to jump within a 7 days notice and can provide payment for a couple of providers to do so as soon as the member has stacked full energy and is ready to set there jump time.
There will be written documentation of agreed times, provider , jumper, and expense agreed upon to insure no crossing or mixing of details between different deals. if any issue arises please contact myself and not the jumper.

Damn right, that would be great. It don't even have to be a all the time thing, maybe a .5% chance to find something like boxing gloves or even books. Don't get me wrong, I love finding the occasional goodie bag or FHC, but why not provide some kind of chance to find something really worth it like that.

Hahaha, I can't agree with the whole, noob statement with the buymugger lists. I created one my first cpl months in torn but not for reasons once assumed. As a note before my statement I have decided there's probably a better way to fulfill my goal without creating some crazy crap like a buymugger list as it probably could have been done without labeling myself a sore loser or someone that was mugged and then cried about it. My intentions for such postings when I made one was not what you would expect.
With the introduction of the Early Discharge system during RWs, a very interesting and, if I toot my own horn, a genius strategy was instantly considered.
Forget wasting money on ipicac or irradiated blood for self hospitalizing to avoid providing enemy's with open targets to score on, and to hell with wasting meds to heal and attack.
Simply post something in forum that is an obviously disposed topic, generate tons of hate and inspire people to waste there money instead by placing bounties on you. Then during RWs, simply use early discharge when you wish to make attacks and earn your score.
Once done attacking it is very likely that one of the many bounty hunters of torn will earn that bounty money and place you in the hospital. This assuring there is no points giving to the enemy faction, making it possible to be able to avoid the cost of self hospitalization.
Then finally, anytime we are ready to make the next set of attacks, early discharge makes it possible to heal anytime as many times as wanted without the cost of meds or the hastle of waiting on medical cool down.
Genius right?!?!
I wanna hear some thoughts tho, should this be considered an exploit? Should this be reported to the devs? More importantly, has anybody else considered this as a viable strategy or even went as far as to purposely shitpost in forum to actively use this during a RW?
Oh wow so this was a scam huh?!?!?! I just figured I wasn't picked as a winner as I bought a 50k item to be eligible. This game is just absolutely amazing, mob justice at it's finest. There is a certain kind of wonder and excitement that comes from seeing the good that can happen in forums after having been troller for silly reasons. There are good threads here, and this just proves that the community, although truly full of drug addicts, degenerates, and reprobates, can always inspire others and provide a sense of unity among the filth and rally everyone for a truly worthy purpose like this.

I am Co-Leader of a faction and have been working to develope a kind of friendly competative atmosphere for my members. The faction has been divided into different "crews" for the purpose of giving more of a friendly competative feeling and also provide a more dedicated leadership for each crew by naming a crew captain that can be turned too in times of need.
I am looking for ideas of events or competitions i could hold between the crews that would be easy to track as i work daily irl and would give incentive to be active and social between the crew members and the faction as a whole.
I am asking the community for there ideas and would appreciate any good feedback that might lead me to bringing more events and competitions into the faction and help to develope the members while also inspiring that social activity and player growth that we need so very much.. If anyone who has ran a faction before or that has ideas that could be good, i would love to hear them.
So I have to redo my post regarding the mugging script. I don't believe it's legal as I once stated. If your not looking at the page it scrapes the info from its not legal. Please don't listen to me as I'm not always 100% but I'll correct myself if needed. maybe if the script skimmed whatever page your on with players names on it, forum, hospital, jail, etc. that could work
