HALLOWEEK
Halloweek is the annual Torn event running from 25th of October until 1st of November.
The starting time can be choosen by each player in the "calendar" section. There are 25 starting time from 10:00 TCT to 16:00 TCT with intervals of 15 minutes. You can choose the start according to your schedule. Each players will have 168 hours of event regadless of their starting time.
Halloweek is a full week where you use all your energy to attack, attack, and attack other players. With each attack there is a probability to earn 1 or more treats. You use your treats to fill your basket and upgrade it first and then you exchange treats for candies, alcohol, energy drinks, various boosters and items resulting in a very big paycheck.
FIRST YEAR
How to prepare
This is your first year, this probably means your resources and your networth are limited and you don't have your basket yet but there are things you can do to approach this event in the best way.
- Join a good faction. You can benefit from all the useful perks a faction can offer, from OD rate reduction to improved booster cooldown and in certain case even free xanax to use for the event.
-Buy a "Scary Clothing" and a "Scary Weapon"Both scary clothing and scary weapons provide +10% change to get 1 treat.
Only 1 clothing provides the bonus, if you are wearing more than one, you still get only +10%.
The +10% from the weapon is applied only if you do the LAST HIT with a scary weapon.
A list of clothes and weapons can be found here IceBlueFire [776] Halloween Trick or Treat Guide

- Buy a stock of at least 240 points for 8 daily refill and 22-28 xanax to use during the event ( 6/8 hours drug cooldown )
- If you can afford it, I suggest to buy an overdose insurance for Halloweek period from one of the many players who offers this service. I'm not linking them because there are many players and i don't want to favor one over another. It is useful because OD during halloweek is super bad but with an insurance you can recover some money.
- ONLY IF YOU CAN AFFORD IT, buy 96 energy drink ( 2 hour booster cooldown ) or 32 FHC ( 6 hours booster cooldown ) and/or a mix of the two to have more energy for attacks for a faction with max 24 hours booster cooldown. 108 energy drinks or 36 FHC for a faction with 48 hours booster cooldown perk.
REMEMBER during first year you will not make any money. If you can use your resources in a better way, for example investing money in Bank or stock market, my advice is to build first a stable economy because this will more beneficial to you over a long period.
- Don't use your newsletter's freebie before Halloweek, wait for the event. Everyone subscribed to the newsletter receives an e-mail from torn every 3/4/6 months with this nice bonus. ( it varies over time, generally one every season spring/summer/autumn/winter ). The bonus is valid only from the latest newsletter, if you don't claim it you'll eventually "lose" the bonus because it will be replaced with a new one.

Before and at the start of the event
You prepared yourself as best as you could, now you are near the start
- Stack energy. You want to start the event with 1000 energy, 0 booster cooldown and 0 drug cooldown.
Stacking Xanax by Pasta-Man [2758734] guide
Stacking is when you take Xanax in order to reach a total of 1,000 energy. Each Xanax gives 250 energy, so taking 4 Xanax without using any energy is called stacking.
For Halloweek we can use the same process we use in a war or happy jump or other events.
----------------------------------
1 . First get to zero energy, then take 1 Xanax.
2 . Wait for the drug cooldown to expire.
3 . Take the second Xanax
4 . Wait for the drug cooldown to expire.
5 . Take the third Xanax.
6 . Wait for the drug cooldown to expire.
7 . Take the fourth Xanax.
8 . You should have 1,000 energy now fully stacked! If you overdosed in the middle of these steps, wait for the drug cooldown to expire and start again from step 1.
When to Stack
You will want to start stacking Xanax with enough time before the war ( Halloweek in our case ) starts so you have zero drug cooldown. Each Xanax adds drug cooldown time, so ideally, the last Xanax should be taken no later than 8 hours before the war starts.
However, there is a risk of overdosing which is why you should stack early to give yourself enough time to start stacking again in case you overdose, in order have a full stack for the war. An overdose will give you about a 25-hour drug cooldown timer.
For example, let’s say the war starts on Friday 10:00 TCT. Each Xanax has a maximum of 8 hours of drug cooldown time, which means from start to finish, you will want to start to stack 30 hours before the war to be in the clear. But in case of an overdose, you want to start a minimum of 24 hours earlier than that, which means 2 days and 6 hours prior to war.
But even if you do this, you may still overdose on the final Xanax which means, if the war starts Friday morning, and you start to stack Tuesday night and overdose on the final Xanax which would be Wednesday night, you then have to wait until Thursday night to start to stack again, which is only enough time to take 2 Xanax. This is why you may consider starting to stack earlier to fully stack, so 3 days prior to war start time. But this is only if you want to be extra cautions.
----------------------------------
As I suggested before, consider buying an overdose insurance if you can afford it
- BUY YOUR BASKET. Be extremely careful and buy FIRST your basket, you will not earn any treats if you don't have the basket. You can buy it starting from 10 TCT from Sally's Sweet Shop in the city, for $35. They will be restocked 1,000 every 15 minutes, so if you didn't get one yet, and it's sold out, just keep waiting and refreshing.
Note: You must be level 5 to buy the basket.
- CHECK YOUR TIME AND TORN CITY TIME. Don't make the mistake of using energy before the event starts! All times in torn are in TCT and it might be different from your time zone. It might happens that you start 1 hour prior the real start, be careful!
During the event
- Attack. Attack and attack again. Do not use energy for gym train, I suggest to do not use energy for revives either but it's up to you.
I suggest to attack offline players and/or inactive players but of course everyone is free to attack whoever they want.
It might be a player you dislike, someone who has wronged you, someone totally random, someone of your friends as a sort of friendly joke... whoever you want.
Just remember that you can earn treats only if you win and only if you do the last hit. Defeats and assists are null!
- Upgrade your basket with useful perks ( see the section below )
- Do not exchange treats for rewards. It's too early and your gains will be low. It would be like wasting your precious treats.
- ENJOY AND HAVE FUN
TOOLS AND SCRIPTS
During Halloweek everything is about making more attacks. There might be a situation where a player has energy ready to use but no targets to attack because everyone is already in hospital.
In this section I will list some tools and scripts to use during Halloweek to find targets at your level and easy to defeat.
1) Donator/Subscriber status - Advanced Search
[image: i.ibb.co]
As soon as you open a donator pack you will receive 31 days of Donator Status that is extremely important for 50% more energy cap and 50% more natural energy regen. At the same time you will receive access to the advances search where you can set parameters to find various type of targets according to your preferences.
2) FFScouter.com / Target-finder by Glasnost [1844049]
Link forum : FFScouter (v3) - Free Stat Predictor & Target List

This tool is free and can be used to find targets with a specific FF. More parameters can be adjusted based on your preferences and you can create a target list here.
ANATOMY OF A BASKET AND UPGRADES
Leveling up your Basket:
Your basket will "level up" to the next basket level automatically the next time you collect a treat from an attack after you've collected the required amount of treats. It doesn't consume your treats to level up your basket. Each basket level improves the chance of looting candy by 5% per level (Up to +45% at Nightmarish).
It starts with a base chance of 35% ( 55% with both bonuses I see Dead people (1) and Here's Johnny (2) after the first 8 treats ) so it is normal to receive less treats at the beginning, do not worry too much.
By upgrading the basket the chance will rise up to 45% for a total of 100% with both bonuses.
It is important to upgrade the basket so you can earn more treats through the event.
At the end of your 1st year your goal should be to upgrade your basket to Terrifying level.
At the end of your 2nd year/start of your 3rd year your goal should be Nightmarish level.

Upgrading your basket:
You can upgrade your basket to provide additional perks like higher drop chances, improved candy rewards, etc. It does consume your treats to unlock additional basket perks. You can do this by finding your basket under "Special Items", and clicking the "Use Item" next to your basket.
I am going to highlight the various upgrades by dividing them into 1st year, 2nd year and 3rd year, numbering them following Andyman [471591] advices. It's the best progression considering the ratio [Treats Cost / benefits and return over investment]

Upgrade Bonuses 3,4,5 and 7 can trigger all together for an amazing 120 treats in a single attack! The chances of achieve this are, unfortunately, super low, 0,001% with a maximum upgraded basket... at least more than the chances to trigger Upgrade Bonus Cat in the Hell (6) with 0,0002%. Math made by Proxima [1879587]
Button Exchange All Treats:
Immediately exchange all available treats for Candy and Drinks (Alcohol and Energy). This WILL consume any and all available treats you have at the time. This can be upgraded to get the higher tier consumables through basket upgrades.
My suggestion is to WAIT at least until you have all the yellow and orange upgrades.
To unlock your first orange upgrande Shadow of doubts (8) it will requires 1 year but it is absolutely important because the 1100 treats are valid towards the upgrade of your basket, immediately upgrading it for a better chance to receive more treats.
Also you will be able to immediately buy until Upgrade 16 all at once, at that point you will only need 245 more treats for Upgrades 17/18/19 and then you will be ready to finally exchange your treats for a lot of money.
You can skip Upgrade 20 if you want, it's up to you.
Upgrades in purple is highly suggested to skip them unless you want to evoke M'aol ( See section below ) and unlock the last basket upgrade Apocalypting Basket
You have to reach 9.999 treats to summon Chtulhu and currently there is only 1 player in Torn who did this in 2024 Proxima [1879587] A Halloween Post-mortem
This year in 2025 we expect will be the turn of Heasleys4hemp [1468764] who raced "against" Proxima and was already ready to summon last year with their 9.999 treats collected.
Many other players are working toward this achievement to summon M'aol. The following list was published by sugarvalves [1963573] - The race for M'aol (Data collected before 2024 event)
