If strangers on the internet haven't got the self-control to not gamble or will-power to click the self-exclude button, that's not my problem. Let them sink. Ignore them, don't engage. They'll get the message. The people who own this game aren't running a charity. They make money from people's addiction. They won't lift a finger, they'll just sit there in their mink-lined slippers lighting cigars with £50 notes.

Conventional wisdom is to use it as early as possible if you're still lowish stats. Min-maxers will tell you to spam FHCs and all that. I wouldn't do that. Just boost happy to 99k and train using your natural energy and Xanax. You might OD but it's not the end of the world.

The other option is to save it for 20 years to boost a stat you might have left behind. I couldn't be arsed with that. I don't even buy green bananas.

99% of the people who hang around in P&L only want to get a reaction, their dopamine hit for the day. It's the closest to sport they can manage. If you remember most of the posts will be being made by people sitting in their underpants, you can just shrug and move on.

Plushies and flowers from UK are just about as good as it gets (in my opinion) without sacrificing energy regen and mugging risks. You're pretty much guaranteed to land and be able to buy what you want and get out without hanging around for restock.

If you're using Torn PDA you can see exactly what items make the most profit in all locations. Up to you to weigh up the pros and cons with that information.

Flying will make you an easy $3m a day, without even trying. That's a couple of Xanax a day and a Private Island covered. 

Use the Xanax to get hits in during faction wars and bank your reward money until you get $2bn.

Crimes can make some money. I made about $1m a day in my first year. That's another Xanax.

Buy 100 beers or lollipops a day from NPC shops and sell what you don't need (that's your capital for buying stuff abroad).

Search bazaars for $1 deals to flip.

'High Money' might be what you're aiming for, but you might need to be a bit more realistic at the start.

I would avoid any that ask for something up front for the chance of winning, even if the organiser is a player of impeccable repute. You never know, they might have bought their friend to enemy ratio setting up a long con.

It's always been corrupt. From brown envelopes to sweeten deals to Chairmen inflating attendance figures to launder their "other income". It's always been a racket, it's just that the sums involved now are astronomical.

The game hasn't been ruined for the day-to-day fan who watches it on TV. People are still running round, kicking the ball about and stuff.

The game certainly has been ruined for actual supporters who want to go to see their team play in a stadium, but not by corruption, just by a general pricing-out of your average Dad and two kids.

Learned to understand the distraction counter in NPC fights. Used to just "Leroy Jenkins" it... and got ironed-out in one shot too many times.

RW weapons are fun, but they're not the be-all and end-all if you're not in a warring faction and just doing missions and stuff. Spent WAY too much trying shiny new toys out, when a max XP Armalite with mods, merits and special ammo is usually plenty.

The best strategy is to fly and buy whatever items are available and profitable. Flying with a ton of cash thinking you're going to come back with pockets bulging with Xanax is naive. Then again, greed drives people to do silly things sometimes.

We already have all of those, so, you know ... jog on.
