To all that celebrate Mothering Sunday today, the fourth Sunday of Lent, and to those that do not. For those that have their separate "Mother's Day" and for those that keep the Mothering Sunday tradition.
Peace.
Spring flowers.
Blessed be.
Joy to all.
Happy Mothering Sunday. Also Mother's Day too.

Dr David Jenkins, the Bishop of Durham questioned the literal words of the manuscripts.
He was not excommunicated, he continued his bishopric. The guy has a PhD in Divinity
The Christian Community (guides by Rudolf Steiner's anthroposophy) view it not as a biological fact but as a cosmic event where the Christ (which is separate from Jesus-the-person) the Logos descended into Sophia.
I am not saying that Steiner was correct or the CC priests all agree, but I think that this illustrates that reason, dogma and tradition can all co-exist. A three-legged heterodoxical thing!

RW is a zero sum game in which a player directly competes against their factionmates. Winning each battle s contingent on having a fast PC, fast internet and clicking "attack" faster than your factionmates, It's not a skill issue becasue there is zero skill in sitting in hospital, zero skill in clicking "attack"; I concur that there is a skill in stealing your faction mates' kills
Torn has about 700 or so items to trade. They are fungible assets. Bazaars are fungible assets. IRL shops are often not fungible. I might buy a widget from Marks And Spencer despite it being cheaper at Aldi because I like the pleasant stroll around the shop. I might buy it at the lowest price from Aldi because I don't mind the extra half-hour walk. I might buy it from Amazon which is not the cheapest but it is the easiest and gives me a receipt and lets me return without having to get the bus. Or I might buy the widget from Etsy because the vendor can customise the widget for me.
If we want Torn Bazaars to be non-fungible, unique experiences then we need to provide a reason to spend more like an IRL shop. Weapons have some unique attributes so you might be able to enhance that, eg player X sells weapons of +1 value and advertises as such, or perhaps a lollipop can be crafted so it gives 26h, a bit like Etsy. Crafting items based on skills would be RPG and would produce unique assets that could be traded, perhaps the player job could determine what is crafted or perhaps the player's job determines what they sell, or perhaps a bazaar is linked to a company just like IRL
But a fungible asset means the only differentiator is price.
It's a stupid game mechanic.

But does it have Ranked Wars?
In the absence of evidence of a real script please explain the algorithm used by the script. Thanks
Kind words. Kind thoughts. Kind deeds.
Disagree because the numbers are imaginary.

I do not like the RW mechanic,; I don't really care for the Torn PvP. I'd rather it had a stategic element instead of the winner being decided by the function of xan taken and local internet refresh speed.
Territory wars are never going to be available to me so i don't have a view on those.
A full flushie set sells to a trader for about $8,000 (last time I calculated) less than the points value of turning in a full set to the museum. Flying for the museum feels like a tedious way to make $8,000 to me.
It's the first day of Advent for me. Which is the season of preparation for the coming of Torn Christmas City. A time to reflect on the coming of Torn Christmas City and a time to look forward in hope for next year's Torn Christmas City which will be the second coming from now.
Each of the four Sundays during the preparatory vigil has a special Torn Christmas City meaning: Duke, Leslie, Jimmy, Fernando. I light a candle thinking about what their coming might mean. On the great day of Torn Christmas City the red candles (other may use purple; I prefer red) are replaced by a wholesome, glowing white one. I light the One White Candle which is for Ched, in whose grace we abound.
This is my Torn Advent Wreath.
Blessed Be
