Finally got the long sought after Seeker award. Not great for my age but I've been working towards it for a while so I'm going to celebrate. I've still got alot of low hanging fruit so I can probably hit 300 awards by the end of the year.
I know many others have achieved it before me but it is still a pretty big accomplishment in this game. I don't know what to do now. I guess I spend the 500 points to reset my merits since I have education length maxed out... :)
The new loan shark is kind enough to offer me $1,000,000,000 in loans at the low low rate of $25,000,000 a week. I believe this is the max amount because he first offered me a little less, then I raised my networth a bit and he raised it to one billion but it didn't move from there. I have paid him back now, but I might be able to say I was the first to take out a billion dollar loan! Beats the measly $100,000 Tim used to pay out. Down with Tim, Long live Duke!
PS. I've only got $750 cash on me right now, in case anybody had any ideas :)

I'm not sure how high it goes honestly. - Cool story bro. This thread is older than you are unless you are a multi I don't think anyone would expect you to know. In fact no one but the staff/programers would know until someone hits a limit. which is why i've been carrying a max loan since the new system was put into place, in order to find the max and share that info with the community. maybe there is no limit and ill pay these fees forever. maybe its 10 billion. who knows. If there is a limit I will find it.
I took out the max amount and made the payments right away but didn't increase my loans as he offered more money. I think it takes about 11 weeks at that rate. he raises the amount you can borrow by 2.5% (same as the fee) as you pay him. my Max loan is 30% higher now but i think 27.5% or there about is the trigger for the award.
I've been paying this SOB's loanshark fees since he first hit the scene. Millions and millions down the drain, finally I got the award. Should have just done it under Tim, would have been a lot cheaper.

I finally hit Elite. I passed 50,000 crimes yesterday but it took the system a while to award me the ranking. I hit $5 billion networth the day the new loan shark was rolled out and I hit level 71 earlier this year (was level holding). The only trigger left is level 100... which I will never hit. So this is probably the last time I will rank up in this game. My relevant HOF standings:

I used my job special at the oil company to reduce my investment bank by 48 hours. I went to the company page, click on the special, clicked on the do special button, entered "100" in the field, clicked do, and then on the next screen I only had 45 points left. I had 745 and only used 100 but now all but 45 of my points are gone. I definately did not enter in 700, or click multiple times or anything, it just used all my points. My investment had just under 48 hours, so it instantly ended (as I intended) but it would have with just 100 points as well. All my other screens and everything have been working fine, no clue why this happend. I use this special all the time and have never had an error but this time boom, all the points ive saved are gone.
You have 1.2 billion in your investment account and you just spent $800 a pop on 120k beers... but you "cant afford xanax"? :P

Well, if this is the first week of the new system (which it is) and I already paid the weekly fee (which I did) and I've never been late on a payment (which isn't even possible yet) then I suppose that A. I have the highest credit rating possible in the game right now (tied with many others, woot!), and B. it is not "0 just like everyone else" but some unknown number higher than zero :)
Also RPG took out 7.5 billion so maybe he knows something we don't? lmao
I might have been! No way to know for sure but it was right after the update so it could be.
