Alright, lemme have my go as... I think one of the newer leaders.
Simple info first:
-110k respect
-Gold 3
-3 wars per week, 90% faction cut
1- My IRL friends (Co-Lead and one other) wanted to start a faction with me and I thought it was a great plan. It seemed like a lot of fun :D.
2- At first, I had literally no experience recruiting or leading, actually, in torn whatsover. Yeah I had been around for almost a year but no... I didnt understand the game XD. It wasnt after 90 days with PT-IronHearts that I knew how to even train and whatever...
So in the beginning it was just sending some messages in trade chat and camping the trade chat for newbies looking for a faction... I hadnt even found the advanced search button neither had I found the recruitment forums... To be fair I dont think I even opened the forum page since the tutorial (Big reason for me being such a bum). The players I recruited didnt matter to me, as long as we had 10 actives for war.
I gradually began to understand more and more about it so right now I take a look at forums once in a while and when we really need new members I use TornOps (Il-Duce in my faction built the entire thing, with slight hinting from my side). We are pretty strict now with recruiting, not with any stat, like xanax taken, or battle stats. But with activity and mindset. Thats what you SHOULD be strict on with recruiting because we all know that an active newbie with the right mindset will always grow out to be better than the inactive bum.
3- From 5k to 111k respect in 240 days. I think thats pretty good but feel free to prove me wrong. Weve fought 24 wars now, and won 14 of em. Nice :D
4- Well, Ive grown in activity tremendously BECAUSE of leading the faction, but I wouldnt say that was all spent ON the faction... I get to 5 hours per day now but at the start it wasnt more than an hour unless we were warring. As long as the faction itself isnt too large yet, it wont cost as much work as you would expect ;)
I liked everything about it, and theres nothing to hate about it... for me.
Oh wait
Except maybe kicking inactives, that usually hurt.
5- Ive invested 8m in the faction. Thats my 50% share to start it in the first place. I have NEVER ONCE used my own personal money to well... buy anything faction related. Meds, xanax, and the (trash)weapons and armor have all been afforded with the 10% Faction share every war, so far the faction share has never failed to pay for xanax (which we supply for stacking chains and wars). But that might be because we were with 11-14 most of the time... less xanax needed.
So no, its not expensive unless youre willing to buy a shell, supply xanax for training out of your own pocket or want a HUGE armory.
(I will get there sometime :D)
6- In total ive made about 2.3billion by warring here, usually as the top hitter because of high activity and, for most of the wars we fought early on, the highest stats (still only like.. 1m at the time) Then... only like 50-60m from OCs, since we have only unlocked up until level 3-4... And If I would sell the faction right now for an estimated 2.5b or something? I would have earned about 22m per day with starting the faction, at the expense of nothing. Do take into account that that is mostly just my general warring performance too and could have been achieved without being a leader just as easily.
7- Im not an ex leader and ive never left, so Im just going to talk about the faction or something. We have joined a very friendly and so far, nice alliance called GLO(Green leaf organization). its just like... 3 weeks old right now but thats a fun fact :D.
We got instantly ranked up from Silver to Gold3 with the new ranking system, probably because of the higher stats of our 2 strongest members. Im keeping the big guy around just to maintain our gold 3 rank since we cant seem to rank down with him here, but he honestly provides nothing to us regarding participation. Thats no problem though since he just flies abroad and with his like.. 1b defense the enemy most of the time cant get him :D.
Ive always had faith in newbies :D. Although currently I dont just let them in like that, I guide them through the game with them NOT In the faction for weeks, most of the time just 1 month, until theyre lv 15 and over 30k battle stats at least, as well as having a decent networth to go around. Its really no use letting them in at lv 3 because it ruins their gameplay too. They get farmed in war and are heavily underprepared with 0 targets to hit. It would be cruel to let them in ;P
Yeah im outta stuff to say, hope you had fun reading this or smt. Seems like you do :D
