For context, i’m level 17. The longer I play, it’s becoming very clear to me that a lot of Torn ‘Vets’ pretty much treat this game as a part-time job. They take it very seriously and get angry & impatient easily. They expect you to be working for the faction every second that youre active, at least during war. (I do understand participation is important and we wanna win, but people kind take it overboard and get rude about it). At least that’s been a lot of my experience so far.
I’m kind of afraid to keep playing cuz i don’t wanna become that way lol. I’ve been playing increasingly more & more for the short time i’ve been playing. Are there such things as casual Torn players? Are you allowed to be a semi-casual player and also be in a Faction? Or do you think that people should stay out of Factions if they aren’t dedicated to spend hours everyday on the game? Am I bound to become addicted to this game and spend my whole day on it like they do? Are there factions with kind & chill leaders who dont mind helping? Can you invite me? 😂 I have questions.

Hello! 👋🏽 I just thought i’d make a post in seach for a new faction that has good communication, kind & helpful people, and cares about improvement. Those are the main things I care about. Preferably a somewhat established one, not brand new. I planned on staying in my faction long-term but it was purchased by a new owner and it changed alot from what it used to be. If you have any recommendations that are accepting new members, please let me know! Thanks so much. 😊
Make it make sense lol. So mugging is a part of the game right. And sometimes there’s even missions that make it necessary. When I get mugged, I just charge it to the game and keep it pushin. If i have a lot of money on me, that’s MY fault for carrying it. It kinda makes me chuckle when people will get upset about getting mugged and place a bounty out of pride. They’ll spend even MORE money than they originally lost, and call you a coward or something because they’re sad they got mugged. But it’s ironic. I’m a pretty nice person actually, and i’d prolly not mug you again if I knew you got in your feelings everytime. But then immediately after calling me a coward, you push the button to pay even MORE to make it anonymous lol. So I couldn’t avoid you even if I wanted to, since I don’t know who you are. So now you’ve spent all this extra money for what? I’m totally okay with chillin in the hospital for a while or popping some Morphine. It doesn’t bother me at all. But hey I guess it’s a small lesson that you lose when you act on emotion and pride lol. Tell me who you are and i’ll be happy to not mug you again if it makes you that sad lol. If you’re not aware, you should avoid carrying lots of money or staying abroad for too long. Mugging is just a part of the game. If you carry large amounts of money at all times, you might become a target. Is what it is!
