Good morning, afternoon and good evening all. 

As of today it is my 1 year in Torn. 

I wanted to share some stats of a daily enjoyer of the game, one who is not hardcore at it but enjoying it none the less. 

I started being introduced by my brother @OliverKraft I decided on 2 things. 

First of all as a gaming achievement whore I decided I wanted my goal to get all merits. My second was to collect every item in the game (not each type like different stats or boosts). 

Sadly both of these goals may forever be out of my reach.

With my inability to cause or be part of another torn rollback, a single merit may stop me from ever reaching that goal post. It might happen somehow, but the odds are lower than Duke learning proper terms when giving missions. Then the sheer number of items including multiple trophies, properties, or unique items make it a longer then Torn service have been going goal. Possible but unlikely. 

Still that leaves me to enjoy and learn and grow and find ways to enjoy it. 

Networth: I was lucky on a couple of points. First was literally points. I won the subscriber 5000 points giveaway. 04:20:15 - 14/12/25 You won a daily subscriber draw and gained 5,000x points. I used this to get a bunch of the extra merits, the racing license, bazzar and display case, sold a bunch to put in the bank, and traded with friends for future help and items.

Christmas gave me the biggest boost in items and cash. With a couple of poison mistletoe and a lot of ecans it was a great year. 

Lastly was my city finds. I maxed my awareness pretty quickly in my career so my finds were pretty good. However last week I got exceptionally lucky and found a skateboard. That was nearly 1/4 extra my total networth.

As of right now I am at 1.8billion. 

Friends: I don't have many friends on here. I talked on global about 4 or 5 times. First time I got an initiation bounty. Deserved and welcomed. And the few other times was just fun banter or my unless 2 cents. 

I have been in 2 factions Akademia who helped me learn the ropes and got me started. I then joined my current faction Criminal Masters, and been there since. 

I enjoyed the talk and chill atmosphere with people I talk to here. It's a great community. 

Special shout out to 2 players. Johannakatten who saw I was in a ranch and showed me the amazingness of a PI. And Dragon, who I reached out too as I was looking up unique properties and saw the Silo X17 and the username I hoped for. 

Both of you are amazing and thank you for your advice and support you are both amazing. 

As for any advise I can give it's nothing compared to the forums. They have so much more info. If you have direct questions I will do my best. Look up the crimes 2.0 tutorials. Amazing guides by Emforus. 

I am on mobile mainly PDA which I also suggest if your just casually playing and not on Pc, but I do swap the the official app when it goes down or when I select the notification instead of swiping it. As always PC is far superior with timing, ease, but I don't have a pocket PC. I'll ask Santa this year. 

Merits and medals: I am at 260 merits/medals altogether. I have focused on the uniques from crimes, starting top down in crimes (search for cash, then bootleg, then graffiti, ect), 

I did the 500 attacking streak which was nerve-wracking but fun. Help from my faction and brother to get the higher stats then you ones, and still upset that I have not gotten the guard and the camera off to get the shoplifting ring but my luck was spent elsewhere. 

For my merit buys I have max awareness, education length, employee effectiveness, bank interest and 8/10 on nerve. 

Education: I have finished the courses on computer sciences and I'm a few days away from history. Plus the ability to kick because... Well.. I did say I was an achievement whore. 

My next goal is awareness and probably gym stats. 

I have not owned a company or faction. And I probably won't for a long time. It's not currently in my goal list. 

I recently started speed running the city jobs to get revives and the education speed reduced so maybe you will see my name reviving you from a overdoses soon. 

Speaking of Drugs: I actually have not OD'd on anything. Probably because my drug use probably less then 20. Except weed. I have also been trying to get that merit but the greening out eludes me. 

However that mean Stats: Since I am not happy jumping my stats and far less then what it should be barely 100k total. Easy hits sadly. Yes I know there is merits for drugs I focus on one at a time. Eventually I will have the 50 of each and then be on my happy way. 

My Work stats are hopefully decent, I have to work on my manual labour but I'll get there. I got into a really good player company owned by the bossman, QQDBQQC. Thank you Bossman for the free trains, support on what we want to train and share when the company's sell. I'll be at work soon. 5 more days till revives!

Lastly I'm happy to say I am married to my irl partner. Even though she didn't like torn and has since decided to stop, I'm happy to stay married to get that sweet sweet triple platinum medal bab..... *ahem* I mean share a forever gaming moment with her though the irl medicl issues going on. 

So thank you Torn for the fun. I will keep playing daily, join in the fun as I grow, and hopefully win of the evens this amazing community creates.

Hey fellow criminals, educators, business owners and gym enthusiasts. Posted this in Q&A was was too blind to see the suggestion thread so here I am.

I have only been playing for a few weeks, and in that time I have been reading the news quite often. Because of this I have had a few ideas to pass around. 

Today's news opener is about the import day coming up soon. It gave a lot of advice for a newbie like me and I appreciate it. Suitcases, company's or jobs that will help with securing items for import, even different ways to get some extra cash flow to make it worth while. 

All amazing, all great, but something I noticed was I didn't see faction being able to help with this? 

Factions are huge aspects to Torn and I can see some potential for more. 

My idea is something for planes. We already can travel and I assume buy planes or maybe its just the private airfield on your property? (again newbie not sure yet). But if we spend resources to get a cargo plane, something with say 2 cargo slots per faction member, and each plane able to hold x amount of members? 

So you have 1 person as the cargo pilot and can fly the plane. They sacrifice the ability to import anything themselves, but they can now import 28 items based on the faction members of 14 other members for a medium sized plane? 

Maybe a massive cargo plane can hold the max faction member limit, (say 25 members not sure the limit) each member get 3 or 4 cargo spaces, that when landed can go to the faction vault or to the members who deposited it. 

And to make sure extra shenanigans doesn't happen you just make it so each faction member can only deposit items into their allocated slots on that cargo plane, not just the remaining left. Cost to use the place is deducted from the members vault currency, (a million for gas, 100k for pilots fees since there is a potential for lost income based on imports, whatever else we think of.)

So a while ago I noticed there was really only one crime for vandalism, graffiti. But I was new so maybe I didn't unlock it yet. But today my friend just reminded me of it. 

Do you think we will get a crime for starting / facilitating a riot? 

Have it a mix of forgery where you prep and set things up, and arson where you keep it in between a level percentage? Or just a mix of destroying the posters of political figures or people of influence. *cough cough Duke*

Using different items to increase damage, wider spread area. 

Maybe a way to incorporate the areas from graffiti as the areas to vandalize? 

What kind of items would you guys think would fit this? A sign to attact attention? A tire iron to shatter glass? Maybe a weight lifting belt to flip cars? (thinking of the Toronto riots a number of years ago). 

Or maybe I'm just straight missing something and have no idea.

My honour currently says I have 10,832 out of 10,000 for my online Dvd store. But it's still locked. I havn't see this happen yet and my faction members are also confused.

This game is huge, so many things can just change or happen. 

Barely a year in and still going to be a noob

There is a site with a hoodie on it. I think it's live2lives I think it's a .Org but they are currently selling hoodies, that has the quote "dear person behind me the world is a better place with you in it, love the person in front of you." 

I am hoping to get one as I like the message and wanted to share its existence as September and SWM should be talked about and recognized

I do want to mention I was flying during this time so I didn't do an action to cause it.

I'm all for this except for the online poker, not because it's a bad idea but for a possible huge flaw.

If this is travel only, which is implied, what happens to the round if my flight lands mid game? Would I be kicked out? Would the round end and I'm removed? 

Asking as a never played poker in Torn and my limited knowledge in anything betting is near 0.

Is this only on pc? Or does it work on PDA as well?

It does and does not work on PDA. We get it working but randomly just turns off. Peeps in the thread are looking but it's not making sense. If anyone is smarter then my dumbhead is able to help out (which many here are already doing so) good luck to you.

Hey all, I'm not an expert, actually I'm not even a newb in the knowledge of territory's, so please let me know if I'm in the wrong direction. 

But do territories get obtained through faction rank?

Like say bronze rank has access to section x of the map? Silver gold ect? 

Or is it the big dogs holding everything with their subsidiaries and the new factions don't even have the chance?

So I forgot to update. My bad, but it didn't update. I did however get it after I collected the online store cash for 1 nerve so it might need that as a trigger as well.
