This was made with the intent to be able to better view weapons with RW bonuses at a glance, rather than having to highlight each individual bonus icon. It does the following:
1. Shows the bonus and its percentage on the item card 2. When hovered over, shows the range the bonus can roll (still need more data here) 3. Adds an arrow to where the bonus lands within that range
It currently is working in the item market (which was the original intent), the Auction House, and a players inventory.
Many of you are probably familiar with the Red Paperclip Project. If not by name then by the story.
A man had a red paperclip and traded it for items of increasing value until he had turned that red paperclip into a two-story house.
I wanted to give this a try in Torn and see if I could work my way up to a PI from a Plastic Sword by trading my current item for something of slightly higher value. So far I am 12 trades in and I wanted to share my journey so far and, hopefully, find my next trade in the process.
As I said, I started with a Plastic Sword ($94) and found my first trade in a Faction member. To start me off right, and for humor, he traded me a Turkey Baster ($3,825). With a sizable increase in item value I started looking for my next trade.
It didn't take me long to find a trader who would take my item and give me a Bikini ($6,000) for it.
From the bikini I managed a leap to a Kabuki Mask ($43,980) which increased the value by over 7x.
The mask brought me a brand new car! A Knight Firebrand ($61,547). I have been in Torn a year and had never seen one.
My shiny Firebrand was then traded almost immediately for a Christmas Cracker ($1,099,994) which was another huge jump.
The Xmas themed item took a while to find a home, but when it did it was traded for an Erotic DVD ($4,431,381). Filthy.
I took my smut and traded it with some degenerate who gave me a Wannabe Cache ($5,487,000)
That big ol' box was traded for a Business Class Ticket ($8,443,000). The trades were getting harder to find around this point.
Reached out to one of the first people I met on this game and he took my BCT and traded me a Feathery Hotel Coupon ($13,900,000).
That coupon was swapped, almost immediately, for a Six-Pack of Energy Drink ($16,247,000).
Then I held onto that case of cans for what felt like an eternity. Found an extremely generous soul who took that case off my hands and sent me back to Christmas Town by trading me a Poison Mistletoe ($80,997,000).
I realized that the higher I go, the more difficult it was going to be to find items that would be a little higher than where I am. I reached out to a faction member who reminded me that Collectibles were a thing by trading me a Dong: Jeremy ($114,999,999).
As of writing this, I am sitting here clutching my Dong and wondering what, if anything, could come next.
While I didn't need any major tweaks he did point out something silly I overlooked was knowledgeable about the ins and outs of company ownership and workings
The home page has little "+" signs to move the different sections around. On mobile it's right along the swipe path for scrolling up and down the page. More often than not this causes one to move the sections around rather than scroll.
Could we get a toggle in the settings to move those pluses to the opposite side of the screen. Maybe a third option to disable them once we have the layout we like?
