Does it also giving bleeps (sounds) just before shutting down? If it does, the speed and amount of bleeps can tell you what part of the computer is causing the problem.
If it doesn't it could be the overheating prevention that is shutting down the system. Mostly causes by the cooling paste of the CPU that isn't good anymore (dried out).
Just a tip, ask ChatGPT for creating formulas if you can't get it figured out by yourself. Much faster than searching on Google.
You can try Debian if you like. I'm running Debian for more than 10y now.
To make it dual boot, you need to create a new partition on the harddisk first.
Than make a bootable USB with Debian.
Install Debian on your new partition and when it ask for the GRUB bootloader to be installed. You have 2 options:
- keep your current bootloader, and check if it automatically recognizes Debian also.
- Install GRUB bootloader. GRUB will definitely detect Fedora and Debian.
When you startup your laptop after this, you can choose which distro you want to boot.
