Just outside the door, the buyer calls out to him and offers a sum of money. Confused, the nomadic merchant asks, ‘Is this free, or do you want something from me?’ The buyer remains silent, and the merchant realizes it is payment for their previous transaction. He returns the energy drink he had received earlier. The buyer laughs and hands the energy drink back. The nomadic merchant accepts it with a bright smile, thanks the buyer, and continues on his journey.
Impressed by the buyer, the Nomadic Merchant later returns to the house and leaves behind a small note that reads, ‘May fortune always favor you in the days ahead, my friend. I will return if I find something interesting for you.’”
