Hi, wanted to know if notes of the donator/subscriber membership will stay if i stop using membership. I just got the Ugly Energy book, and plan to use it once my donator status is over, and once the book is done, start using DP's again. Will the notes from now be visible then? 

Yes, most people would stop using it but that gives the players who dont stop an extra advantage. Obviously, there cant be a perfect solution but i just wanted to note that there would be a problem implementing it. Anyways, i think that third party scripts should still be allowed, but with restrictions like a script cant be used as a replacement for a ingame function

Another problem is, how this could be implemented, for example, take FFscouter, if third party scripts were banned, Glasnost [1844049] (creator of ffscouter) could still use the script privately and it would be hard to know, since it doesn't make any torn requests. To detect third party scripts, torn would have to scrape every persons net requests going outward, and that would not only be very hard to manage with 100k daily players, its also privacy invading

Stockfish with a low amount of time to think is still smarter than a human with a low amount of time. The only way to make cheating low would be to use complex analizing system the way chess.com does, but thats too much code for a mini game.

If you mean Bumbi [3177056] on TORN, I can see why you might find them irritating 😂. From the public forum history, they have a pretty conspicuous shitposting/trolling persona:

• They regularly insert themselves into drama threads and fire back at people rather than letting things die.

• They seem to deliberately lean into self-deprecating and provocative humour—for example, recently telling people not to vote for them as an Elimination captain, then continuing to joke about it afterward.

• They've also accumulated a substantial amount of forum karma and a reputation for being very active, so they're unusually visible compared with the average TORN player.

• There are definitely players who dislike the persona; one January 2026 thread included particularly hostile criticism of Bumbi, although that thread was also edited by staff for harassment, so I wouldn't treat those comments as objective evidence about Bumbi's character.

So, “why is Bumbi such a twat?” — based on what I can actually substantiate, it's less that there's evidence of some deep underlying reason and more that being an obnoxious, argumentative shitposter appears to be a significant part of their TORN forum persona.

If you tell me what Bumbi did to you, I can dig through the TORN posts and give you the actual context rather than just judging them from forum vibes.

2. Chirrut_Imwe [2827523] :

If you mean why Chirrut_Imwe [2827523] comes across as such a twat on TORN, the public forum record gives a pretty good clue: he seems to have a very dry, deliberately provocative shitposting style.

A few examples:

• In one thread, he responds to someone complaining about AI threads with “TornGPT disliked this”—basically leaning into the joke rather than taking the argument seriously.

• In another thread, someone asks why people play TORN, and his answer is simply “Gives me something to do while I poop.” When someone objects to the oversharing, he doubles down with “Would me telling you on a Tuesday morning be better?”

• His forum history shows a fairly high posting volume and a tendency to jump into threads with short, sarcastic comments rather than earnest discussion.

So, “he enjoys being an annoying smartarse” is a reasonable description of the online persona visible in those posts. Whether he's actually a twat outside that persona, though, obviously can't be established from forum posts.

If you give me the particular Chirrut post/person you're annoyed about, I can dissect exactly what he's doing and why it comes across as obnoxious.

3. Ben_Hagen [2966467]:

If you mean what makes Ben_Hagen [2966467] on TORN come across as such a twat, I can see why you’d get that impression from some of his forum posts—but I’d distinguish that from claiming he is one.

For example, in a March 2026 thread he responds to someone with:

“people getting so lazy: not reading articles, not writing their own posts”

and then continues correcting the discussion rather bluntly.

At the same time, the public posts I found show him also doing fairly constructive stuff: he develops and maintains a TORN userscript, responds to bug reports, and releases fixes based on feedback.

So the more evidence-based explanation is: he appears to have a very pedantic, correction-heavy forum style, which can easily read as condescending or irritating—particularly when he's pointing out that someone didn't read something properly. That's different from there being evidence that he's universally disliked or deliberately trying to be an asshole.

If you give me the specific Ben_Hagen interaction that's pissing you off, I can dissect it and tell you exactly why it comes across badly.
