You are a surprisingly naive veteran, sir.

No offense, but this is starting to look more like a drama thread than a discussion about responsibility.

You're comparing two very different things: your mistake and someone else's morality.

We all know what Torn is. This is not a wholesome family game. This is not a game where everyone holds hands and fixes each other's mistakes. Torn is competitive, ruthless, and full of people taking advantage of opportunities whenever they appear.

It honestly sounds like you're treating this as if it happened in real life.

"Oops, I accidentally transferred money to the wrong person. Let's contact support. Let's freeze the account. Let's report them. Let's force them to give it back."

Maybe that works in real life.

This isn't real life.

And this certainly isn't some kid-friendly game where you can say:

"Hey, give my money back! I sent it to you by mistake! If you don't, I'll make a thread and label you a thief!"

You made a mistake. A big one.

The other player did not force you to make it.

The other player did not hack you.

The other player did not exploit a bug.

You sent it.

Veterans with terrible reputations are honestly easier to understand than this. Players like DSLA, MM, and others may be considered ruthless or even evil by some people, but at least they aren't naive about the nature of the game. They understand consequences.

You are not an 18-year-old teenager like me.

With all due respect, if you're a mature adult, then admitting your mistake in your thread was the correct first step.

The second step is accepting that the outcome is no longer under your control.

Stop asking for a way back from the player.

It is no longer your right.

You can ask. You can hope. You can pray.

But you cannot blame, shame, or guilt-trip someone for making a choice that is completely outside your control.

Whether that player returns the money or keeps every last dollar is entirely up to them now.

That's the risk you accepted the moment you pressed send.

Sorry if this sounds disrespectful.

Have a nice day. 🙌🙌🙌

I swear this game has the funniest playerbase sometimes 😭

Y’all commit organized crimes, scam markets, chain for 10 hours straight, send people to hospital for fun…

but removing ONE censored word somehow became the biggest social event ini this week

I love this place already.

(Anyway… how do you guys upload images from gallery to forum posts?)

I’m about to embarrass myself publicly for the first time in Torn

As a beginner, I'm having trouble deciding on a few things regarding these mission credits. I've also posted screenshots of them on my profile, so there are a few questions I still haven't found the answers to, or perhaps I've missed some important threads.

 - If so, could I know where the forum is to determine the value of these mission credits?

 - So far, I've only spent a few mission credits (less than 100) because I assumed mission credits were only earned by completing missions. There are no missions, or missions that are very difficult = no mission credits. So, is there a limit to these missions?

 - And is it possible for me (in general) to get the missions I've already completed but at a harder level?

(I've seen some people experiencing some kind of bug in their "Sellout Slayer" mission, but it runs smoothly for me, and some have accepted the mission multiple times).

-Which is more valuable: the "books" you often talk about? Or weapon mods?

 - From the screenshot, I want to spend credits on a 1mw laser for 511 mission credits (special offer), but I'm still torn between saving for later or not passing up this opportunity? .

That's all for now. I know it's still too early for a beginner to think about this, and I guess I haven't had enough time to search the forum posts, but your answers would be very helpful for me as a beginner :))

I love playing blackjack. Honestly, one of the reasons I got even more into Torn was finding out they had blackjack too.

What I'd like people to focus on isn't how much money I've lost, but how many hands I've actually played. Maybe that kind of data tells a better story.

For me, blackjack isn't just gambling. It's all about reading the cards, thinking through the probabilities, and deciding what to do based on the information you have. That's what makes it fun.

What drives me crazy in Torn's blackjack is how often the dealer seems to pull off the most ridiculous saves. You'll have a solid 20, the dealer is showing a 3, and you're already feeling pretty good about your chances. Then somehow they flip a 10, draw a 7 or 8, and suddenly you're the one losing.

Sure, if that happened once or twice, I'd just shrug it off. But when it feels like it's happening over and over again, it's hard not to think something's off.

And yeah, screw the people trying to exploit the system with massive bets. That's not even my point. I just enjoy blackjack because of the strategy, the card reading, and the probability side of it.

But if the math is always going to work out exactly the same way no matter what decisions you make, then honestly, what's the point of playing?
