I put together a Bazaar Markup Tool for those who don't want a heavier solution requiring API keys or additional features.
This is a simple, lightweight script that allows you to set prices in your Bazaar as a percentage of the Recommended Retail Price (RRP).
It isn't anything special, just a straight-forward price setter. Perfect for those who chuck stuff in their bazaar and don't want to be a sweaty nerd about it.
Features:
Global price setter with pre-selected denominations for your lazy pleasure.
'Undo changes' button restore fields back to the server-authoritative values. (basically I didn't interfere with it)
Vanilla Price (PU) takes precedence over my percentages fields, though I make best effort to update them to the nearest percentage.
Set percentages individually.
A sign-flipper button.
Prevents the 'Enter' key from saving changes (when in % text field focus) for all the uncs and boomers still stuck in Windows 98 before responsive UIs.
Note:
I'm not a React loremaster, but what I can tell you is that there's lazy loading shenanigans.
If you've got a packed Bazaar because you're loaded to the nuts with items (+30), you should scroll to the bottom so the elements are rendered and tracked before fiddling with features.

I'm excited for any feedback or criticisms, and I'll forfeit it if it's not allowed. But it's my first attempt at contributions, so I'm open-minded.
You use the word “coding” an awful lot, when implementation is a late stage in a development cycle and is really no different than “communicating” your solution.
Usually a misconception of those interested in development or software engineering.
if you really were as you purport, I think “coding” would be your least of concern. Because the majority of your “engineering hours” would be spent:
Observe and identify the problem
define the problem (problem statement)
Design the plan (what slns already exist, what are the constraints)
”coding” (implementation, that usually incremental)
test against your plan
….
Which is rather telling. You use AI as a tool, which itself is a skill set I doubt you have the capacity to use effectively aside from shitposting.
But all of the feedback you’ve received on this thread you’d be able to confidently and naturally defend against if you actually engineered (not “coded”) your solutions yourself.
The most important element I’ve learned as a software engineer is that you have to be open-minded. Fortunately working for a company is a lot more constrained than gathering feedback from strangers online, but never have I ever seen you say,
”you know, that’s a good point. I don’t have an answer for that right now and that’s something I’ll look into.”
Engineers of 20 years kneel to college interns with the same line!
Flying is a game mechanic that far predates my time here on Torn, and I certainly understand and respect the time-gated nature of it. Most of the time I'm flying while I'm at work and I do love how such a mechanic really forces travel into the category of "playing when you don't plan to play".
Now am I arguing that we should have a private casino suite aboard any plane we travel in? No, no not at all. But there are some times where I'd love to travel and actively play the game.
Bookie
The bookie would make a great candidate that doesn't undermine the "cost" to travel. It's based off of real-life circumstances, time-gated by real-world happenings. Perhaps the ability to just check on our bets or allow us to place bets but have the inability to withdraw our bets would be a low-risk change with high value.
Poker
This one I could go either way with. But I think it is balanced by nature in that we're playing with money in our wallet, which puts the risk on us as a player. I could be flying somewhere to buy goods, so I may take more money or I end up short-handing myself.
But what I realize about poker is that it is the only non-time-gated and non-casino-token-gated activity in the game. So long as I have the minimum buy-in on the lowest table, I could play poker to my heart's content. This is why I think poker would make a good candidate for when traveling.

I'm not proposing a massive change where we're spinning space slots or blowing our toes off at 10,000 ft in RR, but a couple of realistic game-modes could make a great improvement.
I'd love to hear others' thoughts. Obviously many have been around much longer than me, and I definitely respect why things are the way they are.
I just completed the 'A Thor Loser' mission, which required me to equip Duke's Hammer that he sends me. Upon completing it, I realized that he never said to send it back to him, so I was going to keep it. But when looking at my loadout, it's gone.
What exactly happens to it? It seems that every NPC interaction follows some form of in-game functionality. The item is real, I used it. But now it just disappears?

If this opens up again, I sooo want in. Just my character. Pirate theme. I love your art style and would love to add to my collection! (sign it if possible)
I’ve mugged someone and got slap, chopped, and smacked up by his faction. I admitted I was wrong, that I deserved what happened to me and asked for forgiveness.
I made amends with a present filled with drugs, candies, and other goodies. I chucked in my favorite can of Taurine Elite, as well.
But actually it wasn’t just any can of Taurine Elite, but rather a Small Explosive Device in disguise.
A warm thank you letter arrived in my inbox, telling me how much he appreciated the generous gift and that I didn’t have to do all that..
…oh but I most certainly did.
About 15 minutes later he gets blown to smithereens and it wasn’t long before I joined him.
A temporary work-around is to enable “auto-rotation” in PDA settings, which will allow you to scroll down. I bet something is funky with the new inventory render.
Thanks for reaching out! I will spend some time either this week or next weekend to understand the best ways of "porting" it to TornPDA, or at least sizing it to that particular viewport. Torn's React / tables are a pain, but I'll give it my best shot.
I linked you to another script that I drew inspiration from in the meantime.
This is a great way to think about it, for anyone who gets targeted.
Sometimes we do actions that warrant some consequences. Sometimes we don't. Best you best bet is to just ride it out, whether that is just taking what you deserve for a bit or Book of Job'ing it lol.
At the end of the day (or week), it'll pass. It's their resources to spend, not yours.

Par for the course when you have non-developers coming into developer spaces because an AI subscription empowers them to generate code from common language with the push of a button.
Without looking at the source code, I’d bet a $1 it’s generative.
Engineering anything takes time. It takes building a close relationship with the problem you’re trying to solve. You understand your solution better than anyone and are able to naturally defend it.
Dude is generating ChatGPT responses to feedback because that’s what wrote it in the first place.

Purchased a concealable firearm from SirIcyDragon around 0700 last Monday.
When I came home from work on Wednesday, I found him in bed with my spouse.
At first, I was upset... Not at him, but at her. I put forth the effort to make ends meet, I was the one who brought SirIcyDragon into our lives because I initiated the contact. And she chose to feast on the fruits of my labor??
But as SirIcyDragon smiled, cooler heads prevailed. I took off my work shoes and snuggled right in between them and had the best night's rest that week.
We all did.
By the time the Spring sunrise warmed our faces, he was gone.
What AI models do you use to assist you in development?
Curious if you’ve tried the new Opus 4.7 model. Reading your generated changelogs is language all too familiar to me as we use these tools extensively in the field.
It definitely does seem like an odd word to censor. Are there a variety of other censored words?
What I find interesting is the severity of a word. Here in the States, the C-Word is like the worst word you can say, but in other countries that's like our filler F-word lol.
I generally use "lighter" swear words to bring emphasis (usually in light-hearted or humor) to a sentence, but I do agree with you. I'd love to just read it as it is said.
What are your thoughts on the stat card (the card that pulls up when you click their archetype), where it shows theeir name in bold, if that hyperlinked to their Torn profile?
Keep in mind, this would making poker mugging more accessible, but it is a cutthroat city here in Torn. But one benefit is... sometimes I like to peruse profiles while I'm waiting for the next hand.
I think this would be slick. One benefit of this plugin is that it allows you to see their full name easily, which I generally just search for.
It would be awesome to just be able to middle-click their username to open up a new tab.
Yeah coming to think about this, this was just a noob suggestion.
We've got raceway that prevents flying, and we can do activities while racing. The way it is now really balances out what I can do depending on how I want to play Torn at any given time.
This is pretty on the nose, but so very true lol. I would be suspect of any developer who doesn’t know how to properly defend their work. I use AI regularly for work and review, and by the time I’ve come to a conclusion, I’ve already challenged every angle I can and can speak from the heart.
