So, you heard about this game called Torn somewhere. Maybe a friend or a coworker recommended it. Maybe you saw an ad. It doesn't matter how you came here, really. You must now accept that you will remain here. Even if you don’t.
You play the game because you're bored and you have nothing else to do. You must accept that this is the way from now on—even in the unlikely event that you actually find something else to do. You must also accept that some potentially interesting things will now happen... and quite a few things that are not so interesting at all.
These include, but are not limited to:
Getting attacked and left on the street.
Getting mugged.
Getting hospitalized.
All the above, in a row, by the same person.
Wine about this in a forum or chat only to get attacked more.
Starting an education course, then cancelling it 2 days later because you read a "better guide."
Getting a job but not earning any actual money.
Joining a faction and spending your first war in the hospital for 48 hours, with the odd "one second" of consciousness spent being kicked back into a coma.
Spending more time looking at a hospital timer than actually playing the game.
Earning a lot of money, only to find out it’s not actually "a lot" of money.
Reading a guide that tells you how to play, only to read another guide that calls the first one "trash."
Finding yourself googling drug combinations and wondering when the real-life cops will knock on your door.
Earning enough money for a Jump, only to overdose the second you start.
Accepting that your "most awesome" weapon will do 0 damage to a naked target, but their fist will kill you in one shot.
Feel a sense of accomplishment after selling something. Only to have that feeling crushed as the buyer mugs you right after.
I just wanted to confirm what I already believe is the case is that the book rewards from mission stores are completely randomly added? Why I ask this is because I got a book taunting me at a point in time when even if i had saved every single credit earned until that point it would have been impossible to redeem it still. I know that it may be added again and that is not an issue but rather as a solution would it be possible to start adding books to mission store at a later time?
I dont have any access to give items in my faction. When i navigate into faction controls i can see the above mention text and drop down menu which subsequently dissapears in about half a second. Unsure if can be taken advantage of but wanted to mention. I am using mobile device and have no additional tools that i am using alongside the game.
I understand that flash can be disabled but the previous system was better in not displaying the 99+ or X message count and simply keeping the larger chats green to show there are new messages or colourless to indicate there are no new messages for you. Now i am being forced to choose if i basically want to ignore everything or see everything. You have taken away the previous choice.

I realize now it must be due to give to user being the first option available in the list. Whether you have access to it or not.
As I do not i was surprised by this being there if only for a moment. Also I dont know if you already did something but now it appears for an even shorter amount of time.
When i move to this page, for a second i see the give to user as you do with the dropdown. And then it promptly switches for me to see the members page as you show above, to which it seems i have access to. If this is working as designed then no further issue with it. Maybe it just loads like this.
