I knew I joined up right before the first DB was dropped, thank goodness our age counters aren't just days lol I would've loathed doing that math. Looks like I was just around a month old, it was still called torncity and I spent a couple hours on each day, setting alarms to not waste any energy, scrapping by with whatever crime I had enough nerve for, and training to hit a million in each stat. 

Iirc I did get some hospital time, but when I logged on it was already under 30 minutes (or I couldn't get in immediately because of lag/ server woes, either way I rode out my radioactivity poisoning going to the forums to find out how many warehouse arsons a cesium-137 cost)

Try using boxing gloves instead?

I didn't found Torn. Chedburn did. After he founded Torn, I did however find Torn through recommendations of friends on another text based game I played nearly 20 years ago.

According to tornstats I was to expect about 33m if it was 1%, but I have been playing long enough there are many stats that I know have been reset as far as tracking goes (but I'm not certain that the actual system has forgotten)

I'm still in crimes 1.0 and am unlikely to upgrade until forced to. 

I also made sure to use up all my remaining red eggs and a healthy dose of super- charged cannabis to burst a few thousand additional nerve in the last week to pad out my already pretty decent all- time count. 

Maybe this information is helpful for someone smarter than me :)

Tl:Dr- Black eggs are much more useful on crimes 1.0, red eggs and 420 can be used for a final boost during the event if you want to use a black egg as soon as it ends. 

Definitely has a bit of randomization to the payout since my second Egg paid less

So I'm predicting that this contest has a 2-to-4-way tie between the up to 4 players who received an egg during the initial noon attack. Because that was and probably will be the only time for the entire event that Peter Cottontail gets above level 1 (he made it to level 4 because of the lead time) 

I think his average non- hospital time is ~3 minutes at present

Happy One Thousand days! 

I realized that last year I was driving cross country while this event was on, so I just trained/did crimes and forgot about looking for eggs (found 3 total) happened to be on when my event started and found an egg. Thought oh yeah I wonder what I missed last year. Not going to travel till a bit later, but found 15 including 3 pages with 2-4 eggs.  So that was super exciting!

My Secret Santa is 2.5 weeks old & level 3. I hope this is a good welcome package that will remain useful through the beginning of their career.

Well, see the thing is, if one is hacking the FBI. They are not using Crimes 2.0

Thanks for this post though, it further confirms for myself and others who have not "upgraded" to 2.0, that we should hang back a bit longer. 

Go forth early adopters, canaries to the mines, lab rats, and case studies! Sometimes getting in early benefits you while balancing mechanics is studied, but for crimes 2.0, I don't regret not being first in
