My life before Torn.. · · 9 likes

Before finding out about Torn, my life was a dark, empty void. I had no friends or lover, I was lonley.

But now it's still the same, at least I have Torn!

Back in the days, in Torn's glory days, I used to anxiously pour my eyes over the newspaper, not because of the bounties or the listings, but because of the funny comics. What happened to them? Why aren't we getting new comics? Perhaps we should start a comic committee to post some regularly. I would love it.

So recently I was using my personal computer and it seems to me that you do not need a stock ticker, which usually costs about 20 points and provides access to the stock market, to buy and sell shares in the stock market. This defeats the entire purpose of spending 20 points on stock tickers. Is this a bug the developers have overlooked?

"God" versus "The Big Bang" ·

God is a figment of human imagination. Our mental faculties lead us to believe that there is some higher power guiding, looking after and punishing us. If god does exist, why does he have to go through all the trouble to hide himself from us? Now before someone tells me to look around me and think of it as proof of God's existence, science bitch.

Turmoil [1602605]One more thread on this subject about not updating the Comics. Yawn, yawn, yawn. This thread is just about as lame as the subject of no new comics. Wake up - - - - , NO you will not get your comic published, and NO they will not publish fresh material. Notice that some of the existing stale comics have been published by one person only.

What I am really worried about are the Horoscopes. Where are they? I depended upon them when I woke up in the morning to plan my day. The editor for that feature died, dead, YES in real life - - - - DEAD. The same Horoscope page remained in the newspaper for about 10 months until someone discovered this fact. Bummer, that really ruined my day, and now you want fresh comics? Forget it.

Who was the editor of the Horoscope?

MadameButterfly [1035358] Calm down there Dorothy, no need to get all ranty, it was pretentious of you to assume that your use of Latin would prove your point more than if you had just said "Reduction from the absurd" but see you couldn't do that, you wanted to use the Latin and why? because you wanted to sound intelligent lol

Point of information: Its standard practice to use the Latin terms for fallacies when pointing them out. I do the same.

Thanks Fujiko.

I love how you call me "butthurt"Ad hominem!
But since you like latin so much Notus sicco vestri anum (honestly can't believe google was able to translate that for me lol ) []

MadameButterfly [1035358]No he was on no ones side, he basically said in his first post that my post about Santa was reducing your OP to an exercise in absurdity and by saying that I was following a path of "Reductio ad absurdum", now of course he could have just quoted me and said I was being absurd but unfortunately that wasn't enough for him, he felt the need to sound smart by using Latin not realising that none of us are impressed by that s**t but then again his case wasn't helped by his sig basically saying "I know your IP so I'll hunt you down" when most of us know that he can't actually see our ip but idiots always try fool idiots so I'm sure someone will fall for it

You don't have to go all ad hominem on me.. Just because I used a latin phrase doesn't mean you have to be butthurt as f**k..

Jesus! What's up with you?

MadameButterfly [1035358]Opt out, I honestly can't take a"debate" that begins under the assumption that an anthropomorphic personification exists seriously. This is like starting a "debate" with "I'm assuming Santa Clause exists..." and then the question and 3 options being

How does Santa travel all around the world in one night?

1. Elf dust
2. Magic Reindeers
3. Rocket powered sleigh

Reductio ad absurdum is a great way to prove/disprove something y'know..

Well it was absurd, using a Latin phrase to make you sound intelligent won't change that fact. By the way your sig is an ip tracker, I'm pretty sure they are illegal on Torn now

Well, it's not an IP tracker, it just shows you your IP, that's it.. and I wasn't trying to sound intelligent, It's what we call it. Reduction from the absurd. What the f**k is up with people? Using latin phrases makes you a pretentious dick these days..

That's the whole f**king point anyway! Proving the absurdity of something by assuming it's true and depicting the conditions that would be exerted when it is.

Madame, do you use apostrophes and quotation marks because it makes you sound intelligent?

Why not introduce a "JUMP" option! The catch is, you end up in the hospital for the same duration as you would when you OD on satan's candy Xanax.
