In my opinion, some sort of giveaway should help people in need more than those who already have established their NW. And who is more desperate than those selling losses? So there goes my idea of 'Giveaway BR': People sign up for the event with their attacks lost (AL) and defends lost (DL) on a set timeframe (can use API to receive all the data, and it is always visible and accessible). This will be the start of the event. After given time, let's say 7 days, you take the difference in the before and after and substract the number of DL from AL. The person with highest number wins. In a case of a draw, person with more attacks lost wins. This way you must manage your defends and attacks, people will have to interact, most probably buy bounties/hitmen to reduce opponent score and it will be always be possible to track the result. Richer people can participate too, but doing losses is usually counter intuitive to their Torn goals.
example: Day 01.07, 00:00 TCT Player A has 200 AL and 10 DL Player B has 500 AL and 60 DL Player C has 1200 AL and 700 DL
Day 08.07, 00:00 TCT Player A has 550 AL and 400 DL, the difference is 550-200 = 350 AL, and 400-10 = 390 DL (Lost 350 attacks and 390 defends during the period) Player B has 900 AL and 500 DL, the difference is 900-500 = 400 AL, and 500-60 = 440 DL (Lost 400 attacks and 440 defends during the period) Player C has 1600 AL and 1500 DL, the difference is 1600-1200 = 400 AL and 1500-700 DL = 800 DL (lost 400 attacks and 800 defends during the period - had a lot of bounties for reasons)
Player A has a score of 350 - 390 = -40 Player B has a score of 400 - 440 = -40 Player C has a score of 400 - 800 = -800
Player C has the lowest score, while Player A and B are on a tie, but Player B did lose more attacks than Player A, so the winner is Player.
