My character is 9 years old now and I never thought that I would feel like I give zero F***s about my character.
I used to log on multiple times everyday and train hardcore and do tons of crimes and keep in touch with a lot of friends that I've made on here.
Now I log in one every couple of weeks or so.
I achieved so many goals and that's probably partially why my activity level has gone down. I stocked my display case full of staff collectibles, bought a Gold AK that I keep on hand, amassed a nice stock portfolio and have ten and tens of billions sitting in the company bank doing nothing.
I commend players that can keep up their activity level after this many years and I also commend them for making and achieving new goals.
Life has changed on my end and Torn has taken a backseat but here I am logging on to Torn and starting a thread which i haven't done in a very long time.
I've made some great friends here in this game and I seen multiple friends and enemies come and go.
Has your activity level dwindled after so many years of playing or are you still able to keep the activity level up that you did when your character was younger?
I've had the below item "Riot Pants" since all of the new clothing armour items came out a while back. Ever since I got them over a year ago they show that there are 2 in circulation. When equipped unlike my other armour options these have no stat numbers associated with them so i'm submitting this report in case there is a bug of any kind with them. I copy and pasted the info that associated with them below.
The Riot Pants is an Unused Item.

I just recently reached 2 goals that have been many years in the making for me.
I know it's a silly thing to collect but I started collecting snowboards because I do it in real life and I just recently achieved owning 100k of them that I have in my display. I've been buying them for so many years and have had so many friends in torn send me boards throughout the years so I wanted to publicly say thank you for helping me complete my collection.
I also just recently hit having a networth of over 100b so that was a fun and long achievement to get.

The back end setup of a poker tournament like the one you're thinking of is considerable, and enough to hinder it from ever happening. Great idea, and I'd like to participate but it'll never happen I feel. A solid 90% of my NW came from playing Torn poker many years ago (don't play much anymore), but since I'm guessing less that 10% of Torn population plays poker I don't see the motivation for it to happen.
There are a lot of really great points and thoughts in here, thank you all for contributing to the discussion. I understand I'm not Torn's ideal target player based off of how often I login and how I feel about the game. At the end of the day I've met a lot of really fun and cool people in Torn and that alone makes it well worth the time.
Wow it just hit me that I've been playing Torn for 13 years. My oldest son is now 13, and I believe I started playing Torn at some point in the middle of the night while trying to get him back to sleep.
I've become the 1-3 times a week login player. In the summer I'm even less active since I do so much camping, hiking, fishing, etc.
I have mad respect for older players who are still mega active.
So my discussion point is this. I'm not rich in real life but I consider myself to have a fair amount of disposable income. I spend money on all sorts of fun things like travel, gambling, alcohol, shopping, hiking & fishing gear, the list go on and on. I think in my 13 years here I've spent $5-10. Why haven't I spent more? I would have spent a lot more rl money on Torn if it made sense but it doesn't. I see a missed business and profit opportunity. What you get for a $5 donation is pretty weak sauce. I can't see myself ever spending rl money on Torn. My game is on financial auto pilot and I need or want for nothing.
Why do you spend or not spend rl money on Torn? Wouldn't it make sense from a business standpoint to target market people like me?
