I'm not sure if this is a bug or maybe I just misunderstood the subscriber piece of this but...
I purchased an annual subscription through the donator house last night but it says I am only a subscriber through 4/12/21 - I'm not following? That would only be roughly 5 months, not a year.
I think for each category in a crime, it'd be cool if there was a top 10-50 list of people. Maybe the top 10 get some type of perk or benefit.
Example:
Each graffiti neighborhood would have a top 10 list (who had done the most of the graffiti crime successfully). Maybe the top 5 gets a perk of some kind for owning the neighborhood.
You could do this across crimes and it would add a little incentive to work specific crimes for specific perks. Otherwise you end up at a dead end of rinse and repeat without much to work for. Feel like you could add another layer of endless pursuits to gain things by moving ahead in certain crimes. Gives us crime junkies a reason to work it and opportunities for new players to work specific angles.
And just like education used to give players access to top weapons (Dual Sam), crimes could be the same way.
I was just thinking.. if I have to click "drink another" 1700 times to fully use my booster cooldown every 48 hours, the least Torn could do is give me a chance to go into a blind rage for my next 5 attacks.
Strength: +250% (because you THINK you are really strong and that's enough in the moment)
Defense: -75% (You ain't defending #$%^)
Dexterity: +100% (a 24 pack will have you loose as a goose)
Speed: -25% (No one 48 beers deep is moving too fast)
Other Bonus: 1% chance to end opponent on first hit. Preferably a button titled: Backhand or b$%^&slap pops up.
Is there any evidence that grinding this out will ever create a high $$$ online store or is it capped? Meaning is it worth grinding bootlegging indefinitely in order to increase long term profit?
Opened up the online store - appears to give you crime progress exp. experience for 10 nerve.. not really clear what this means aside from progressing crime exp.?

Late to the convo but personally disappointed with crimes 2.0. If it's a crime game, and this is to be a focus again, what are my rewards for being really good at it or grinding a specific crime? Special weapons, discounts, chance at items that actually make a difference in the game (weapon crates, etc.)? Not really. Best finds are what.. special ammo, merits, etc... Where's the occasional FHC, can, cool weapon, etc.? And if you say they are saving that for later crimes, why? Isn't the best way to keep people invested in each crime to actually produce a reward that is worth it? If I hack the gov't, I want a minor reward. If I do it 50 times, maybe give me a medium. Ohhh 100 - give me that major prize.
I'm not saying hit on the jackpot once a day but at least give me a jackpot type item to work towards. I just feel like the possibilities were immense - this feels more like a visual upgrade with some level of progression and random items that don't help much or make you much money.
I guess I had the same beef with 1.0 - you worked each one till you were done, and then just did the one you liked the most over and over and over to no end for merits.
I had hoped Torn would make it worth it. Make the grind worth it. Are we going to see new perks added back into older 2.0 crimes? What's the overall upside to doing them aside for merits? Tiny amounts of money?
Shout out to all who put time into it - respect on the work, visuals, etc. - just was hoping it could actually be a path to profitability or other unique gains.
You get in touch with an old colleague who now works in fintech.Your hope is that he might have some use for a list of legitimate credit card numbers you "accidentally" acquired. He asks you what kind of accident might cause you to acquire over a thousand card details. You tell him straight, "the illegal kind."He sighs and says he'll call you back.Within minutes, he's on the phone offering you $175 per card for 3,124 data sets. You ask him what he's going to use them for and he tells you to shut the f**k up - fair enough. You upload your database and receive payment almost immediately. SUCCESS $546,700

What crime gains the most blank DVD's? I made the mistake of selling cheap early on.. only to regret it now. Now I can't figure out which search crime yields the highest % of blank DVDs?
Any additional filters would be value add. It would especially be nice to be able to search for weapons that had bonuses or by quality. Right now, there is no easy to find items with bonuses short of looking through everything (unless you all are aware of something I'm not).
Thoughts on having some weapons/armor with some bonuses as well as quality? It would be great if you could collect a bunch of lower tier bonus weapons - potentially use, sell, or utilize Big Al's bunker. Current state I believe the only way to really get access to bonus items is via the market or war (which tend to end up with the faction not an individual player) - this seems like an easy way to get access to an individual player and make more use of Big Als bunker for the individual player. Just my two cents.

I'd have to agree with the posts of a few others - as much as I like choosing between 4 teams to join - it was only a matter of time before coordination led to a stacked team that was unbeatable. This does render the competition pointless and essentially rigged, and not fair to the thousands of other players who weren't in on it. Being automatically assigned to a team fixes that and pretty much ensures a team cannot being stacked, unless by coincidence.
I do seem to have more luck on the first go around as well - however I typically have very little success after that, even by going back to crimes and starting all over.
I'm having the exact same issue using Safari ever since the iOS8 upgrade. Gym works fine and all other features seem to be okay, but crimes lags out nearly every time.
