For the first time in forever I decided to look at the city map to try and find items, lo and behold I found ~15 items with extreme ease. I have upgraded my awareness twice with merits, and have a 10% bonus from education. I was surprised at the number of items that I found, and how easy they were to spot while examining the map. Does the frequency of looking for items impact the chance of finding one? Am I finding many items because it has been a long time since I last looked for them? Maybe I just got lucky this time?
Same issue, although once it did correctly change after a few minutes. I clicked a different time scale, then was occupied for a few minutes and when I came back it seemed to work. Although I could not replicate this.
I believe I've clicked a couple 'fake' eggs, some pages loaded slowly at the begining of the competition and I saw small images similar to this http://www.sitetechnician.com/images/image_not_found.gif Not exactly that image, but that is the closest I could find from Google. I have found no other eggs, or even seen any fake/real eggs since.
After I wrote this post, I had a similar occurance, as the page was loading I saw a small box, similar to this image appear to the left of the screen.
